Reenie you can support anyone you want to.  People want to support Fred Thompson that's their choice!  Out of all the candidates running for President, Fred Thompson is best.  That is my choice!

I thought Duncan Hunter was actually more conservative and even more articulate than Fred Thompson.  To me, he is a too slow talker, and Duncan Hunter sounds more conservative overall.

Reenie, Do you have info that Fred Thompson is amember of The Council on Foreign Relations?  I didn't know that, and if it is true, maybe more people need to know this.  I do not want to vote for anyone who is for One World Government.  Bush is of this ilk also, from what I have read.  Is there a way to verify this stuff?

People who think Fred Thompson will represent them should look closer at the candidate and turn a blind eye to the actor.  He is not the character he plays on tv.  Look at his voting record while he was in the Senate.  Soft on border control, voted to expand NAFTA and voted to increase farm worker visas.  ontheissues rates him as a MODERATE., Americans for Better Immigration give him a C grade, while Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo get A+ and Ron Paul gets a B.

Fred, the best thing you can do is run away from this bozzo of a President.

Also, unless you can "kick it up a notch" on the lecture circut and get people more excited about "your vision for America", you are going to let this race slip away.

Time to stop the fence sitting and either declare you're in or out!

Fred is an actor!  Yes he reads scripts!  BUT..Yes, Melinda has documented where he also mostly writes his own scripts!

Forget about concerns re: CFR - the elites will always rule! (Except maybe for Paris Hilton today - hee hee!)

Fred is one of the most respected people in America, and has the integrity that none of the other candidates can even begin to lay claim to!

He's a Tennesseean - the VOLUNTEER State (and I like him a lot - even if I was born and raised in Kentucky)!

Personally, I believe Fred Dalton Thompson is EXACTLY what this country needs at this time in our history - if we are to endure as a Republic!

So maybe he talks Sloooooow, but many Americans listen Sloooooow also!  Bein' a Southerner, I kinda like it!  It's thought through, and straight from the heart!

Thanks Jim from Texas and Jake5253.  There is a CFR phobia in here that has become a serious obession with some.  There seems to be an agenda by some of the Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo supporters to demonize the CFR to convince people that don't really know what it is about to be afraid of voting for any candidate that is a member.  You will notice that every topic posted about Fred Thompson, the only real conservative that has a chance to win, gets bombarded by the CFR conspiracy crowd.  Take a look at some of the Fred Thompson topics that I started.  They post their garbage on every one of them.  I admit that I have recently retaliated out of anger but I won't be doing that anymore.  They can't hurt Fred. They are scared of Fred only because their candidate doesn't stand a chance against him.  They figure that by scaring people away from any candidate that is a member of the CFR, their candidate will have a better chance, but it won't happen.  Most people don't believe it.  Oh, they will convince a few of the more gullible people but it's not enough to matter.  Ron Paul is behind, has always been behind, and will always been behind.  I expect him to only get further behind as this goes on so he is no threat to Fred whatsoever. 

Here is a quote that describes the CFR and this is what I believe also:

I invite both of you, Heartforthedeaf, and any other Fred supporter to come to the draftfredthompson.com forum.  It's a very peaceful place where we discuss the Fred Thompson candidacy in a peaceful and intelligent manner.  Most of the Fred supporters in here have been harassed and verbally abused so much that they have left, or at least stay quiet, which is exactly what this bunch wants.  I figure they will come back once Fred wins.

The key to me is who can win!

Ron Paul has some good ideas and speaks his mind, but in my opinion, he does not have the demeanor to be President and he has terminally offended way to many to get enough support!  His changes are drastic, needing more than one person to effect (i.e., where do the entrenched in Congress fit into his scheme) - they won't be overcome by one man, no matter how right his message is!

That's exactly right Jim from Texas.  I knew he was your Congressman but I know a lot of Texans that are voting for Fred instead of Ron Paul for the exact reasons you mentioned.  I can't honestly say that I have anything personal against Ron Paul, at least I didn't until I came in here.  The main portion of Ron Paul supporters in here are what really turned me off to him.  I agree that his changes are drastic, even though his ideas are, for the most part, honorable.  Most of his ideas are good but I don't think he could get anything done considering the Congress we have now.  I remember some of the things you mentioned in regard to "terminally offended" and while I believe that people can change, I don't know if he has or not.  One thing that worries me about him is that he seems to be very inflexible and a little on the hard headed side.  Bush is that way.   

Fred definitely has a chance to win and IMO he would be great.   He is strong in his convictions, doesn't waffle, and is diplomatic.   Almost everybody that knows him likes him.

Some pretty exciting news about FDT, on Hannity & Colmes the other night.  At the last GOP debate, they had a room full of polsters that scored each candidate on each of their comments.  Sean Hannity did an interview with Fred and they played it on video for the polsters.  Out of all the candidates, Fred scored the highest and he wasn't even in the debate!
