Below is a post from Las Vegas regarding a report he saw.  WE NEED TO POUR ON THE HEAT!  It could be media retoric, but we need to show the Senate, the House and our State Legislators we AREN'T GOING AWAY!

Bob Graham, Las Vegas said:

Sunday 6-3-07 Drudge report headline says Americans are forgetting their anger over the ammnesty bill and therefore next week the bill should pass. You know something? I believe them , Americans get up for a good cause and then a baseball game or football game or mowing the lawn gets in the way and they lay down , expecting someone else to do the dirty work. SHAME ON YOU FELLOW AMERICANS , the few who still care are geting to be too few to get change . So many of you talk about those who flip or flop while you flip and flop and don't know which way is up , soooo we will all wallow in the mire and once in awhile say I didn't want it that way it must be someone elses fault . I have listened to you all say the same words about everything for years , be it war , social security or better yet , you name it , AGAIN .

I haven't forgotten--I am still faxing like crazy.  I am having great difficulty getting through to Senator Webb, Senator Kyl, Senator McConnel---but I continue.  I faxed all weekend long also--feel like I'm alone for some reason.  Ohio

I think people get really fired up and want to change things, then they start hitting brick walls, and then they burn out and need to regroup and jump back in, At lleast thats what happens to me. I know I have to stop myself because all I talk about is this. I get fustrated, I want to do something, What? What can I do? I e-mail more family and friends I get them on the phone, I send every new piece of information to keep it fresh in their mind, I think they think sometimes I 've lost my mind. My husband keeps telling me to stop yelling at him, I just get so angry It does sound like I'm yelling. I will watch the Senate today, I will call today, I will e-mail again today, but I think as Americans we have been getting desensitzed to things, There is passion, and then it subsides, remember how everyone felt after 911. Look where we are now, people just let go of things that are uncomfortable to deal with.We just have to keep reminding people and get our voice heard.

I got through to senator Mc Connell--he's supposedly one the the key people to influence.  Also called Pelosi's office to chew about her meeting with Mexicans.  She's also meeting with Elvira the illegal who is holed up in the church in Chicago.  I also had a few choice words to say about that.  I also passed out a bunch of Tancredo phamphlets and took that opportunity to get my friends and neighbors riled up.  Tom's in town this week encouraged them to go listen to him.  Next I have to call my state senators.  We can't stop--our efforts do pay off--if we don't give up!!!

I think it's wishful thinking on the part of the media. I do agree that Americans do tend to suffer from long term memory disorder these days, and seem to fatigue easily in regards political and other issues.

But, explain to me how, if Congress is swamped with letters, faxes, emails and phone calls in the past few weeks, can they think if it slows down the people don't care. Do all the opposing letters, etc suddenly not count?

Those People on Capitol Hill want this thing passed. They're going to do whatever they can, short of jeopardizing their cushy jobs, to do it. They're a bunch of Surrender Monkeys, and the Bush Cartel is putting a lot of pressure on them. Maybe they need to be reminded again that if they pass the bill, their cushy jobs, under the table drug money, etc will all disappear next time they're up for re-election.

Kyl says support is dwindling, he is neglecting to say that he turned his phones off.

I think that congress will be more responsive to pressure, the senate passed an amnesty bill last year when the Reps had the  majority, I don't see how we could influence this sorry collection of cockroaches when the Dems are in the majority.

I am looking forward to all the new faces in the senate after 2008

Jmac1943 says: "I am looking forward to all the new faces in the senate after 2008 "

Unfortunately, only 1/3 are up for election in any given 2 year period.

Okay guys...wait.  Perhaps I was too hasty calling them liars.  Maybe the majority they spoke to really ARE in favor of the bill.  Of course, they no doubt only went down to their closest barrio and asked there what they thought of the bill.  But they'd never lie to us...and the press would NEVER stretch the truth or lie.  Right??  Yeah, right!! Good point FeedFwd...all those new faces will be something. Only 1/3 of the senate is up, but the ENTIRE house is up for reelection!

Hey everyone, Got ahold of Cornyn's office and was told as the bill stands now, he WILL vote NO and will not support 'amnesty'. (his definition or Bush's?  She couldn't answer that question).   Of course, there are 4 more days of debate/amendments.

Can't get ahold of Hutchinson, BUT TX House Members and the are firmly NO on this bill and have been since they voted NO in 1986.

I heard Hutchison about a week ago and she was saying she thought they could reach a compromise--it sounded like she was caving!

Out of the Washington Post RE:Kyl article:

"illegal immigrants who are legalized under the law from obtaining the earned-income tax credit to bolster low-income work." ??? WHAT????

Tell me it ain't so! Why would Jeff Sessions oppose it if it's not in the bill? This is pure craziness! The more that comes to light the more treacherous it is.

Lots of phones in DC are "turned off" today......but will keep trying. Shall we jam/overload their email too???

We shouldn't give up whatsoever because I don't want 12,000,000 new Liberals voting in Hillary or Obama into the White House which would be catastrophic and our nation would be headed for a socialist nation. We need Fred Thompson.

Nancy, that was last week and that was before they had a chance to study the 600 pg test version.  (I was told  by a congressman's office the text version is 600 pages).  At the time she made that statement, she hadn't seen all the 'little details' to pick out, as Bush referred to.  Just so happens one of those 'little details' leaves in  the sanctuary cities where law enforcement MAY NOT question a person about their legal status and the visa office will NOT be allowed to give any personal information regarding z holders addresses, etc.  Lots of 'tiny' little details that totally bend to illegals and their 'new status'.  Go to John Cornyn's website and read his release.  It points out some of the glaring flaws.

Just got through to Senator Kyl's office(1348's architect) and said I heard per media that senators returning to WA are saying they are now getting mostly po-amnesty calls.  Staffer said what Kyl said was that the number of calls received is slowing down.  We can't have that now can we?  I also blasted them about 1-800 numbers established in English and Spanish for the pro-amnesty crowds convienence.  I've also heard these are being used fraudulently by big pro-amnesy supporters.   Steve Elliot suggests calling your senators plus Kyl, Lott, Brownback, Isaksen, Webb and Burr.  Go get 'em!!
