I'm from Washington, we've been gone for 12 years and we're coming back!  I haven't seen any threads on Washington State?  Where are you on the illegal immigration?  What's the pulse up there?

Yes, I am from Wa, the state has a lot of illegals.  Especially here in the Skagit Valley, mainly because of the bulb farms and the farming.  The low income housing is all over the place.  We have had gang shootings and graffiti, 50 drug dealers working for a drug cartell in Mexico, picked up in the last  18 months.  I have an idea down where you were from it is no better.

These two senators will vote for the illegals, I am as sure as can be.  That goes for most of the reps also.

That's really unfortunate.  No it isn't much better down here at all, but our Senators, and Congressmen are very opposed to the bill as it is.  Who knows what amendments will come this week, but our House Congressman are very firm on this regardless.

It will be wierd coming back home.  I can't imagine why the people there don't become involved if they're in opposition of bills.  People down here are extremely patriotic and love to show it!  *lol*  Thanks for the response,

I, too, am from Washington State and, like vedachristine, we are inundated with illegals. Here in Yakima, we have the same problems; gang warfare, graffiti, drug dealing, overcrowding in the schools, terrible drivers, crowded emergency rooms, breakins, robberies, and Mexican businesses everywhere. The Mexicans had a march here and they attacked the Minutemen who were peacefully demonstrating across the street. We are fed up but our two lousy Senators are in the back pockets of big agriculture. They listen to the big money rather than to the people who believed their false campaign promises and put them in office. Washington is a GREAT place to live as you know. Pick up a concealed weapon permit when you move back and you'll be OK. When did "illegal" stop meaning "against the law"?

Hi vedachristine....yeah,sad but true, the crime thing I mean. I went to school at Western and LOVED the Skagit Valley. It's so beautiful there. If I were ever to leave this side of the mountains, that's where I'm headed.

FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE COST
& the HIDDEN AGENDA OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
& THE GRAVE THREAT IT POSES TO AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY

There are up to ** 20 MILLION ** people who are in our country illegally +
1 million for each additional year that passes.

In addition to the threat that existing illegal immigrants in our country
pose to our social,
healthcare, and educational institutions, many of the groups who support
their invasion
also support "La Reconquista" of the United States. A search on YouTube for
Reconquista,
Aztlan, La Raza, or the North American Union will reveal that the illegal
immigration
rabbit hole goes much deeper than what most realize, you will be shocked.

I wish I could have made it to the march.

Seattle is of course, the hub of liberalism in Washington State. But Eastern Washington people and many in the small towns in Western Washington are pretty conservative.

Both Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell are ultra liberal but in Murray's case, she is losing support each time she runs. Unfortunately, she still wins. Someday I hope that changes. These two phony Catholic women are a disgrace to the faith they proclaim and a disgrace to their office.

I'll look forward to getting in touch with other Washingtonians on issues citizens need to address.  The immigration issue is actually the first one I've ever actively participated in, but I think the issue is too important to ignore!

Keep up the good work everyone!

I belong to WFIR, but am too old to drive in the traffic you have in Seattle.  Reflexes are not what they use to be.  I would have loved to be able to tho.

In the early 80:s, we protested against puting some rivers on the west end of the Peninusula into the Wild and Scenic catergory.  Henry Jackson was our senator then, got an autographed picture from him.  I loved doing it, but politics are something I enjoy. But we had a different attitude about things then, we were not called names, and told to go back to Europe or none of the things a certain nationalty, does now.

My niece, husband and I went last year with our signs and flags, to a middle sized town about 15 miles away.  I have never had the middle finger given us, told to go back to Europe, we are all immigrates, racists bitches, racists, et.  What really depressed me, they are not thankful of any thing the tax payers are paying for, ungrateful bunch.

Have you heard how it went?  I haven't gotten an email yet saying.

I forgot to mention, but bring up the SPP when you call Murray and Cantwell.  I did today.  The gal on the phone did not know what it stood for so told, Security, prosperity and partenship.  I asked her what Murray's stand was no it, she did not know.  I told her if she votes yes like last time, she does not think much of America.  She said Murray wasn't for any thing like that, so told her Murray better read the bill, because it is hidden in there that gives the Prez fast track to implement the SPP.

Cantwells aid knew about it, asked him if Cantwell was for or against it.  He did not know.  I told him if Cantwell and Murray vote yes, they do not deserve to be Senators.

I don't know, but I emailed Mountain States Legal Foundation and asked them if a class action law suit could be brought against senators that are ignoring our laws and the people.  Asked also about a recall, if it was possible.  Have not heard from them yet.  Let's hope I do, with some sort of a solution.

Why can't the citizens bring a law suit against the government for not enforcing our laws?   Seems like the illegals do when something does not go their way.

Oooh...I LIKE this idea!! I have been SO frustrated with Cantwell and Murray in that they never respond when I write to them. I send letters, emails, and faxes to their offices and, other than a generic form letter, I never get a direct response. Vedachristine's question is a good one. "Why can't the citizens bring a law suit against the government for not enforcing our laws? " They are elected officials who are paid with taxpayer dollars. They are OUR employees and I agree that it's high time they started acting like responsible employees and do what their employers wish for them to do. So much of the immigration issue could be solved simply by enforcing existing laws. If employers of undocumented workers feared for their business licenses if caught hiring illegals, if the fine was so great that it wasn't WORTH hiring a cheap labor force, those jobs would dry up and the illegal population would self-deport. The flow from the south would slow and we could once again regain control of this. We don't need a ridiculous fence to keep them out. We don't need to spend our dollars deporting millions of people who will right back here in a month. Just remove the incentive to come here. I read once where field labor accounts for only about 7% of the cost of produce at the supermarket. So..if I pay $1.00 for a large avocado and then the farmer DOUBLED the wages of his farm help, I would have to pay a whopping $1.07 for that same avocado!! I would GLADLY pay a little more if it meant safer streets, no graffiti, better schools and better social services for those legal Americans who need them. Plus, if the wages of agriculture work DOUBLED, perhaps legal Americans who have a mortgage, a car payment, perhaps a child in college, could actually make a living in this country. I'm glad Vedachristine has the time and the interest to persue the legal end of this.

I have not heard one word from Mountain States Legal Foundation.  Does not look like they are going to give me an answer.

I heard Microsoft is locating a plant in Canada.  Sounds like he does not like our immigration laws, not enough HIB workers to suit him.

I bet this is what he threaten to do, when he sent his lobbyist to DC to get the immigration bill passed.  It sounded like they had the senate covered with lobbyist.
