A Conservative Standard

I have been away from Fire Society for a while.I returned to find people arguing and debating about who would be the best candidate for president.Those who use information and potential candidates records, seem to make an effective arguement.Those who use an emotional rant are less effective to say the least!I decided to propose a standard(mine) to see what the members here think.Before I start let me say,this is my opinion.1st,I believe a candidate must be an America 1st type of person.He or she must think of our security and economy,not worrying what others think.The U.N.,or other countries etc.2nd,he or she must believe the constitution is the foundation on which our country is founded on.If they believe this they also believe where the founding fathers derived the document.They derived it from their faith in a Creator,an Almighty who gave us the rights therein!So they must have faith in GOD.In these first requirements,the next would surely be met.3rd,a fully,intelligently equiped military.The candidate must see the importance of our country's security.He or she must see 4thly,that  secure borders are one of the most important steps to our overall security.5th,our candidate must see the importance of lower taxes and balanced budgets.Cutting taxes,balancing budgets and dismantling redundant departments and agencies.Tax reform is a must!A new tax system needs to be developed soon.The candidate should see this issue through to it's completion.The standard here is simple and only an outline,but it is where I start.Over the years of my involement in politics, I've caved here and there.I voted for the "the lesser of two evils".I, with a clear conscience cannot do this any longer.I believe we need a true conservative and believe the requirements listed are required of the candidate, at least.I believe with all my heart that a true leader doesn't lead by polls or popularity,but by foresight and love of country.We are the most powerful and best country on earth.We have everything to lose if we do not start choosing our leaders better!!

Sorry folks these people do not exist.

Thanks Jimmied:  Emotions run high at a time like this.  We need 'leveling factors' every now and then to help us stay focused.  Good input!
