(An Open Letter)

ENFORCE OUR LAWS!

Why do we need more immigration laws when we don’t enforce the ones we have? The only answer can be that you wish to legalize the current law breaking. Turn anarchy into law by legalizing it.

We have been down this road in the 1980s, and were sold a bill of goods on the promise that after amnesty the laws would be enforced and we wouldn’t have to face this problem again. . . well, they lied! Here we are again. We do not need “sweeping reform”, we need to 1) SECURE THE BORDER, 2) ENFORCE THE LAW! It really is just that simple.

“Border security? Why should we believe the government will enforce border security with this bill any more than they have with already existing laws? Border agents, now federal prisoners, Ramos and Campeon, are living proof that our government doesn't want a secure border with Mexico. . . The bill also reduces the 700-mile border fence already passed into law to 350 miles. The rest would be an electronic "virtual fence" so the government can sit and watch the illegals as they flood across the border to obtain their amnesty.” (Dieckmann)
