U.S. flag 'ripped' by United Methodist official

I have to disagree with his stance.  The US flag is a symbol of the spirit of America, which has its foundations based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The American Federal Government and many of its people, however, are what have turned away.

I believe that religion is at the root of a lot of the issues we face. I say this because we have a lot of preachers, bishops, minister, etc... not preaching the gospel of the truth of Jesus Christ. You see alot of these guys making millions of dollars, driving rolls royce cars, living in mansions, while their congregations are giving sometimes their last bit of money because they are trying to do the right things and pay their tithes and give their offerings, and are living pay check to pay check.

People need to get to a higher state of spirituality and read the bible or what ever it is they read in their religion and not only listen to a sermon of what the preacher is saying what the bible says.

Church is in the heart, mind, and soul of a person, not a building or in a preachers words. How many bad preachers do you know that have led people astray in the name of Jesus. Can anyone say James Jones?

With the threat of America being Islamified, the flag of the United States should not be removed from the Churches or schools. The way things are going, the only place kids will be able to see a flag will be a church or underground meeting places. Our kids are being indoctorinated into Islam in school through role-playing and forced diversity. Some schools go as far as making young kids take Muslim names and dressing like Muslims for a week and learning Arabic. Which is, by the way from using the Quran, and saying the 'commitment prayer'. This directly from an Islamic web-site. "Even if they don't know what they are saying, they will still be 'commited' to Allah." In Colorado, they take one hour recesses for Islamic prayer in the public (see tax-payer funded) school. "The teacher removes the American Flag, rolles it up and puts it in the corner." "Walid Shoebat, a Muslim terrorist-turned-Christian, said 47 percent of American Muslims consider themselves Muslim first, American second. Shoebat said that's reason to wave a red flag. "Terrorists have a long-term plan," he said. "And that long-term plan says if we can win the next generation of Americans, then America can be converted to Islam." Children no longer learn the basics of American History (study, college grads earn F's in American History)in school. Children have no respect for our country, our flag, or our way of life. They are taught from pre-school that other cultures are superior to the United States and that this country is not great. Sorry for the rant, but what is going on in schools in this country and in the government, is a shame and I don't see it returning to "normal" for decades, if ever.
