c-span Rep Dana Rohrabacher on new immigration bill

I just heard the most fantastic speech I have ever heard from Rep Rohrabacher. It was in the House of Reps from about 7:30-9;30 PM CST this eve. He laid out the whole case of all the loopholes, deceptions, lies etc by the Bush/Kennedy plan. Everyone must hear it. He relates all that the so-called trigger items put in as a carrot are actually already in place and actually in some places decreased. Notes that if this is passed 50-100 m more illegals will come. All illegal granted AMNESTY will be given in-state tuition. Achor babies and chain migration is not stopped. This is for the good of corporate America; Mexicans will be used as slave labor. The middle class will be eliminated. I went to C-SPAN.org to try to find out where to get a replay or copy. I must have one! ANY IDEAS????? You all must hear this. He slams the Bush admin big time.

I searched c-span.org and couldn't find it on today's agenda. I will call c-span tomorrow and see what I can find out and will post here.

It might be on his website, check there first, as usually when they have their moments in the light on important legislation, they put it in text form on their websites.

We all need to write him a 'thank you, keep up the good fight' email too so he knows he has support from all over the country, because if this passes the house, then the pressure will be on the House of Reps and we want them to be armed with lots of 'good job' emails.

Rohrabacher is one of the ones pushing for an investigation into the Compean/Ramos case w/ Johnny Sutton, the US Prosecutor.....and I think that's going to lead all the way to the top.

I do too Suzi, there is too much info pointing all the way to the WH and that crook AG Gonzales IMO.  And notice, they are still in jail, it was meant to send a warning to all border agents to back off, these are 'protected' people streaming illegally across our borders, whether they be drug dealers or not.  Lets face it, that fence makes a LOT of sense when you see the amount of drugs coming across it every day, but for some reason, the WH and Gonzales don't want to protect us from drugs, drug addicts and drug dealers if it concerns Mexico.

Funny how the Fed prosecutor that was "fired" recently by Gonzales office from Washington state was doing a great job of catching drug dealers smuggling illegal drugs across the Canadian/Washington state border, and yet he was fired by Bush and cronies....hmmmm, maybe they figure if we are all on drugs we won't notice they have sold the country out to the biggest dollar whether it be china or mexico or india.

Good idea VeeBee--but speech wasn't there on his web site . I'll keep searching. Suzi--Dana talked about the treatment of the border patrol agents and J Sutton in his speech--it was tremendous!!!!! And so true!!!

YOU ALL NEED TO READ THIS. Still not sure how to get a copy but speech is on line. C-SAN said they don't have copies/videos because was a part of House business-could order video of whole day, but expensive. Talked to Rohrabackers office and this was their suggestion. Go to "thomas.loc.gov". Go to congressional records and you will find it. It is't on line yet but office staff said it will be later. I checked and afternoon stuff is not yet on. I'm telling you, this is a must read!!!

Thanks for the information.  I just went to the site and you can find there now.  Just search by the date and it brings up his speech.  I am impressed.

Here's the beginning of it and it gets better:

Mr. ROHRABACHER. Madam Speaker, a tsunami of illegal aliens is sweeping into our country, crowding our classrooms, closing our hospital emergency rooms, unleashing violent crime, and driving down wages.

   This is not theory. It is a harsh, threatening reality borne out not by numerous academic studies, but by the life experiences of the American families from California to Georgia and from Iowa to New Jersey.

   Our middle class is being destroyed. Our communities are not safe. Our social service infrastructure is collapsing. And, yes, it has everything to do with illegal immigration, illegal immigration which is out of control. And year after year, while our schools deteriorate and our jails fill and our hospital emergency rooms shut down, the elite in this country turns a blind eye to the disaster that is befalling the rest of us, their fellow Americans. The elites obscure the issue and maneuver to keep in place policies that reward illegal immigrants with jobs and benefits, and now, of course, being rewarded with citizenship.

   This country, the upper class says, can't function without cheap labor.

Are you reading this?  It is the best.  I may be censored for the frequent reminders but it's the chance I take.  ROHRABACKER DID SUCH AN OUTSTANDUBG JOB.  Wish I could figure out how to reproduce a copy of speech here for you to read.

Nancy, thanks for making Rep. Rohrabacher's speech last night a thread.

Everyone, every American, ought to read it.  Tell everyone you know to read it. And then flood your representative's offices with the truth that he laid out.

And if Rep. Rohrabacher is your representative, please call him and write to him and tell him how much we all appreciate his truthfulness.

I know a speech on C-SPAN foesn't sound exciting but this one is !!   If you really want to understand what Kennedy/Bush are trying to do to us--try reading this.  You won't be disappointed!!!

There are so few left like Rohrabacher. This is a time of great greiving at the death of our way of life if this goes through. And it seems it just may. It seems its already been decided for some reason. They are just trying to look like they are doctoring it up. Like he said our laws already provide for our protections and are being allowed to be ignored. They will continue to be ignored. All they care about is the slave labor and the death of our way of life. We allowed those men and women in congress to set themselves up, not realizing people could be guilty of such treasonous acts as this. I pray America picks herself back up and strives to put safegards in place to prevent this high corruption again. They need to be forced to live like the rest of us, with the same resources and social security. The same pay for a 40 hour week. They have become so immune and corrupt its horrifying.
