What the NE senators offices told me

Sen Nelson's office thanked me for calling and told me that the Senator shared my concern.  Sen. Hagel's office  was very cold--recognized my name because I have complained so much and said they would pass on my objection (which I doubt).

I've told that to Senator Hagel more than once!

husker millie:  My experience was nearly identical.  Nelson's office polite and reiterated that he opposed amnesty.  Hagel's office refused to express his stand on amnesty.  Like you, they don't have much use for me.  (chuck-give them all amnesty) is one of the illegals best friends.  He helped get in-state tuition and voted for social security for them as well as past amnesty bills.  He's a disgrace!

I called the other list of senators that day and the message boxes in all but one office was full.  I did call Lindsay Graham's office this morning to tell him I resented his inference that anyone against the amnesty bill is a bigot and pointed out that we, alone, in the world are the only country who do not protect their borders.  I am so disgusted with the majority of the US Senate--they act as tho' they've been bewitched by some evil spirit!

Nelson rates high in the voteing polls. But hagel has been a trator since he has been in office. All he stands on is being a Veteran. You would like to think he would stand for what he fought for. He fought for our rights and freedoms and now he wants to give them away to law brakers. If we brake the law we get punished. He wants to award them when they brake the law 

Millie, I agree with you.  There is somthing VERY not right in our government.  Money talks and it is speaking very loudly right now.  Hagel is a traitor and it's a shame we can't shut him up or recall him.  I don't know how he can sleep at night.  He has to know that the majority of nebraskans do not support his positions.  These thing are occuring because of the seventeenth amendment.  It amends Article 1 Section 3 of the Constitution to provide for the direct election of Senators by the people of a state rather than their election or appointment by a state legislature, thus effectively eliminating state representation in Congress.  The way the "Big Money" is electing Senators not us.  I think we would be way better off if we repeal the seventeenth amendment.

Greetings. I am personally offended beyond all rational thought at this bill. I have been trying to get my wife legally here from the Philippines for over a year, and these people, if they broke the law getting here, get to stay with legal status?! It proves to me that politicians are more concerned with protecting Swift and other employers of low-cost-workers and absolutely unconcerned with protecting voters. We as individuals do not matter to them. Only corporate campaign donors matter, and they are the ones in control of this country. We might as well just give up now and sit on our hands because no matter what we feel, do, or care about, the corporations which employ illegals control our senators and congressmen are writing and passing the laws. And, after all, ours is a society of Law. This calls into question our "moral authority" and reaffirms why so many people all over the world hate us and wish to destroy us. It's because we are a hipocritical society that would allow corporations to write and pass our laws while claiming to be a government "of the people".

The criminal people in government are probably thinking they need to make as much money as possible right now as when they give this country over to mexico they will be up there with all the King pins and drug lords (untouchable) and we the people will all be right down here with the peons. If we don;'t keep on protesting this S--t that they are cooking up thats where it will end. But I'm not going down without a fight.
