Let's use this thread to help us track how Senators say they are going to vote on the Bush-Kennedy amnesty bill. Find stories online or better yet -- call and document how these senators from this state are going to vote. If you call, include date/time of your call.

Switchboard: 202-224-3121.

Be sure to ask:

1--Does the senator support the Bush-Kennedy comprehensive amnesty bill?

2-- Will the Senator vote to "invoke cloture" (i.e. end debate) on the amnesty bill?

The new French president has it right about how to handle illegals.   Read this article and send it on to your elected reps, maybe they can learn something!

Hello, Rhode Island

PLEASE to go this website and sign the petition.  Your State isn't on the list of participants, BUT sign it anyway.  Then put pressure on your State Reps & Senators to join 25 other states in fighting this bill!  Do it!  There is a coalition in the works at the state level.  Let's support them.  Pass the word and tell everyone you know!

Hello RI    It is such a pity that we have such a weak deligation representing our state but what else is new?  Has the elected officials ever done what the electorate has asked of them?  Reed, Kennedy, Langevin, and Whitehouse all cater to the hispanic vote and that is it.  They will all do whatever it takes to keep our borders wide open to illegals.  Just take a look at the Dream Act.  They have all voted for it and will continue to do so.  This state is hopelessly in the hand of dumb sheep who love being led to the slaughter.  Democrats have strangaled this state because there is only one party.  Lets face it the only reason people here vote in Republican Governors is because there is no SEPARATION OF POWERS.

All,

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has invoked Rule 14 on the new bad DREAM Act amnesty (S. 2205) and the vote will be tomorrow.  This act is much worse than the previous version.

I phoned 8 senators yesterday and will do the same today.  Please phone your senators TUESDAY.  We need to put loads of pressure on them to vote NO to this massive sellout.  Call a few other senators as well.

Don't get discouraged.  We can beat this if everyone calls.

Keep fighting!

Pete

Sadly, it would appear that your Senators Reed and Whitehouse are pro amnesty in general and recently voted for the "Dream Act" along with the other ludicrous and arbitrary bills proposed this year that certain democrats devised to pardon millions of illegal aliens and gather votes of support from them. They insist on signing away much of our welfare budget, our interests and our livelihoods to cater to them, in other words, to subsidize millions of economic refugees at our expense without our consent or approval. If their continuous efforts to do this truly angers you after they've been warned repeatedly to cease and desist with the whole idea of allowing this massive invasion, Then I encourage you to take action at your own state level. Fortunately you live in one of only sixteen states that can recall a Congressman or Congresswoman. Not only the Senators, but a myriad of House reps that are pro amnesty as well. Something tells me this would be a good way to make Congress feel the wrath of their constituents that they misrepresent. If only the people of the states with recall provisions that suffer from pro-amnesty reps would start petitioning to have them recalled for continuing to ignore the will of the people to the point of rage. It definitely qualifies as malfeasance! This insidious behavior in following the Pied Piper and Robin Hood (Durbin and Reid) down the liberal garden path is only selling us down the Rio Grande. Shamesty, SCHIP, the Dream Act by any other name is still a treasonous fire sale of USA citizen's jobs and housing availabilities along with social services. I'll bet the thought waves across Capitol Hill of a significant number of Senators and House Reps being petitioned at home for recall would have a humbling effect on many and bring some to real epiphanies. Please, I urge you and someone you know to initiate a petition to recall those very members of Congress that pose this insidious threat and get all the signatures you can on it. At least start one for your state on the Grassfire.org site and have Rhode Islanders e-sign it and then send it off to your capitol. Just starting the petitioning alone on all these traitors could have quite a sobering effect on the Congressional conscience. This we could do; it's well within our grasp and it's our duty to show Washington D.C. who's boss before it's too late!

Rhode Island is very Democratic.  2 Democratic Senators and 2 Democratic Representatives in the House.

Jack Reed is facing reelection this year and has 2 potential Republican challengers including former Senator Lincoln Chaffey.  A very interesting man.  This is a possible pick up for Republicas but it will depend on turnout.
