I called both Senator Kennedy and Senator Kerry. Here was Senator Kerry's aide's response to me: "We have no position at this point due to the fact that it is still in deliberation and there are amendments that will most likely be added that can change the whole bill. I wish I could say what Senator Kennedy said, but his aide hung up on me. There is someone who wants to hear from his constituents.

Being from Massachusetts, I have tried contacting Senator Kennedy on more than one occassion. He does not reply to e-mails or phone calls and seems to "stonewall" the people who elected him.

I think it is time to replace him as he has been there way too long and the office needs new blood and ideas. He appears to feel above and beyond the citizens...

Massachusetts,  If Kennedy was my senator I would have people in his office day and night threatening a recall... Kennedy is a traitor to the country!!! Do something to stop this mad monster!!!

I have sent numerous emails to both Senators - there have been no responses from either of them - I am on Disability benefits and my budget is limited so long distance calls are not part of the budget at this point. I have also sent emails to Marty Meehan and he also does not respond on any regular basis - he is leaving in another month for a cushy education job so he doesn't care. Besides the new name for our state is Liberalchusetts. Best thing that couldhappen would be to unseal the court records from kennedy's motorvehicle homicide and show the real hypocrisy behind the man. 

 I fully agree with the 4 posters shown.  The years since kennedy has been in office he has hurt massachusetts and the nation.  THE VOTERS OF MASSACHUSETTS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF PUTTING THIS COWARD, I USE COWARD AS HE LEFT A YOUNG WOMEN TO DROWN MANY YEARS AGO, INTO OFFICE YEAR AFTER YEAR. WHY MASSACHUSETTS WOULD YOU VOTE IN AN INDIVIDUAL, THAT HAS ZERO CHARACTER, FOR DECADES. HARVARD COLLEGE THREW HIM OUT FOR CHEATING SO HE WENT DOWN SOUTH A AN UNKNOWN COLLEGE TO CONTINUE HIS EDUCATION, THEY WERE ABOUT TO THROUGH HIM OUT FOR CHEATING. No apology pea-nut.  Unfortunately they are "my" senators too.  I would guess over the last 4 or 5 years I have written (snail mail), emailed, phoned, and/or sent comments via their websites at least 75 times between Kerry, Kennedy and Delahunt.  I have YET to hear ANYTHING in any way from Delahunt and Kerry.  Kennedy has responded ONCE via email and once via snail mail.  Just as well, both responses were crap and more of his Chivas Regal stained lies.  Never voted for any of them, nor will I ever!  You notice Kerry missed YET ANOTHER vote!  Somehow I doubt he forfeits his paycheck!

I have lived in Massachusetts my whole life and have yet to find ONE PERSON who ACTUALLY voted for Senator Kennedy!  Haven't found one yet!  That seems to be the general concensus.  So, how does he keep getting in? 

As far as I am concerned, and I told Senator Kennedy as much in an email that I will get NO response from and also due to the fact that they don't like to talk to anyone, that I look forward to this country being called the United States of Mexico - so that they can see the mistakes they are making! 

Just by changing a name does not change what it is - for instance, if I call a bank robber a withdrawal technician does that change the fact that he robbed a bank and therefore should not be punished for breaking a law?

Kaew77.  I am currently a Mass resident and I have not voted at all for Senators Kennedy and Kerry.  I also cannot count the number of times I have attempted to contact our senators but eith got hung up on by their aides or have emails gone unanswered.  It seems a hopeless cause, trying to get through to them.  I do not understand why these 2 keep getting voted in.

Dear Massachusetts: Not being from your state makes me and outsider, but knowing a lot about your senators, I will say this, do you really think they, the 2 most egotistical, know it all elitist, left winger socialist in government are going to listen to there constituents, I think not, they don't need you, you need them is there way of thinking....these guys want this amnesty, they want these peoples votes, they need these victims of the under class to keep them in power, to make the democrat party a one rule power so they can bring about there dream of a socialist America....Massachusetts being one of the states so full of rich history about the beginning of our great nation has wondered so far off the reservation from what our founding fathers envisioned it is mind boggling.

If you don't like his decisions, Teddy will be more than happy to take you for a drive along the river and discuss it.

We need to pressure The Presidental candidates into a NO vote they are ones with an election at STAKE. They are the ones seeking or money as we speak!! Its a General Election they are campaigning for so we can call them all and Pressure them all.. ( except maybe Kerry, do they come any dumber?)

I have been a life-long citizen of Massachusetts, with the exception of a brief stint in New York.  I whole-heartedly agree with the previous posts and I would like to add the following:

 *  As a citizen of MA, I apologize to the rest of the United States for the sorry socialists that we have sent to the Senate and the House year after year.  My personal alibi is that I have voted against these twits in every election that I have been eligible to vote.  I consider myself something of a member of the "conservative underground".

*  The people of this state are Morons, I have not been able to figure out what motivates them.  I can only say that they fall into classification "Intellectual Idiots".  The Kennedy's can do virtually anything in this state and the voters would continue to look the other way

I don't want to offend anyone from Mass. But today I watched Kennedy scream and yell during the debate. At least thats the way I viewed it. I never watched or listened to him before, and I gotta tell you......He is the biggest belligerent blowhard I have ever seen, and in my opinion, he didn't show too much respect for his fellow Senator's, even the ones he called "my close friend"?

I have been watching this debate, and I think I have spent more time doing so than the entire OJ trial! I have seen so many Senator's that may need to go, and go before they drop in the well while speaking. Some of them can't even put a simple sentence together without help.

Kennedy is a "colorful character" at best, and a worthless POS at worst.  He cares NOTHING for the people who elected him and those of us here who never voted for him.  He talks the talk, but he has a problem walking the walk.
