Let's use this thread to help us track how Senators say they are going to vote on the Bush-Kennedy amnesty bill. Find stories online or better yet -- call and document how these senators from this state are going to vote. If you call, include date/time of your call.

Switchboard: 202-224-3121.

Be sure to ask:

1--Does the senator support the Bush-Kennedy comprehensive amnesty bill?

2-- Will the Senator vote to "invoke cloture" (i.e. end debate) on the amnesty bill?

I spoke with the senator's office this morning about 9:30 CST. I was told he was against amnesty but hadn't advised how he intended to vote.

I called last Friday to McConnells D.C office, and of course the staffer answered the phone. I asked her where Sen. McConnell stood on the Kennedy/McCain amnesty bill (even though I already knew. He supports amnesty, has always supported amnesty, and I don't believe he will ever change his mind.) But, when I asked her, she said, "Senator McConnell does not support amnesty." I answered, "That's funny, because I have been looking at his report card that shows his voting record, and he has a very bad grade on illegal immigration." Needless to say, she wanted to get me off of the phone a.s.a.p. She told me she would pass my concerns along to McConnell. I don't know when McConnell comes up for re-election, but he will NEVER get a vote from me! The American people have been sold out, by both parties.

Mitch McConnell is a snake in the grass. Remember when his vote decided if you could burn the American Flag...He voted OK.

I am a life long Republican voted (40 + years) but will never support McConnell again.

I voted for President Bush because he said he would protect our nation.. Seems like he forgot what he promised.

I am against amnesty for illigals...

Vote for this bill, you'll no loger receive my vote..

Recevied a letter from Jim Bunning  and his letter states he is against allowing rewards for Illegals. Called Mitch McConnell's office and told  the receptionist i wanted my Senator to vote against Rewards for Ileegals and all she said is she would pass it along.   I alos feel McConnell is a snake in the grass and needs to find another job.  He is up for re-election in the next general election.

I have wrote letters to both McConnell and Bunning and am waiting for a response.  I will let you know when and if I do.  When I wrote to them both about Ramos and Compean, Bunning sent me a copy of the Constitution and McConnell never replied.  I am sending them both a link to this website so they can read what they are doing to the respect and confidence of their fellow Kentuckians.  Come on Kentucky, let's all email everyone we know and get this ball rolling.  Let's let the U.S. know Kentucky is alive and we do care about OUR COUNTRY.

We are moderate liberals, but are opposed to amnesty for illegals. We have written letters, and sent emails to many of our Democratic leaders stating that we would no longer support those who vote for amnesty. We have called both Mitch McConnell and Bunning. We had the same experience as others when calling McConnell's office. His staff just said they would pass the information on to him. When calling Senator Bunning's office the man was very helpful, explaining cloture to me. I have read that Senator Bunning is opposed to amnesty for illegals. We do agree with the one thing we believe that McConnell did right and that was to uphold a person's right to burn the American flag when he or she believes his country is doing the wrong thing. If we had a draft and all Americans were asked to sacrifice in this ill-advised war in Iraq, we would be seeing much more flag burning. The flag is only a symbol of freedom, not the real thing and it is a way of saying that one does not agree with what it's government is doing. Does anyone think Hitler would have allowed flag burning?

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.
2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
(There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County ).

(All of the above are from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.
Over 70% of the United States ' annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.
Our leaders are fools for letting this continue.
WHY CAN'T WE SEND THEM HOME ?

The new French president has it right about how to handle illegals.   Read this article and send it on to your elected reps, maybe they can learn something!

I received a letter from Sen. Bunning and he assured me he would not vote for amnesty. And his votes have been consistent with this stance.

On the 25th both he and Sen. McConnell voted for the Vitter amendment  that would have eliminated amnesty language from this bill.  The amendment didn't pass. But I am glad that they both voted for it.  I sent them a thank you e-mail.

Whether you like Sen. McConnell or not he is in a delicate position being minority leader.  let's have some faith in him to do what is best for America.

I live in London...anyone out  there in London that would like to deliver the requested "NO AMNESTY" Petitions to McConnell's office with me the 27th?  I will have them delivered to my door if someone is available to go with me to deliver them...

AND will assist anyone from the Hazard area willing to deliver them to Bunning in his Hazard office...

Any takers?  E-mail me or post it on here...OK?

What part of "ILLEGAL" don't some people get?

First, let me say "No Amnesty for Illegals!!!" Now, I have been writing and both Sen. McConnell and Sen. Bunning say they will vote against it, but I have a gut feeling that this thing is going to pass. Big money is big power and big power gets its' way. So... what's next? I say if the illegals can come and take over our country illegally that we can, and should, invade their country and take it over illegally. AMEREXICO... tax everyone! Dominate and exploit all their resources... show them what it takes to be accountable. Tear down that fence and I'll be owning a villa in Cancun! Think ahead... if that's what our elected officials want for our country... let's take it to another level... Anyone else? Canada? Want to come here and take over? We can call it AMEREXICANADA just as well and I'll have me a nice little fishing camp up on Hudson Bay. It's a sad time in America... McConnell says it's okay to burn the flag... but what the hey... we'll just make a new flag. Out with the old... in with the new... AMEREXICO... comprehende amigos? Give me liberty or give me... Amnesty.

While lobbying your Senators on this Amnesty bill, everyone should also be finding out where they stand on NAU (The North American Union).  I am not really confident Amnesty will not pass in the Senate either, but it will have a much harder time in the House of Representatives.  All of those boys and girls will face re-election in 2008.

If Amnesty passes, NAU is next.  Borders will be totally open and we will have a new monetary exchange  called the Amero instead of the dollar and the peso.  The soverignty of the United States will be down the tubes.

Start looking for someone to run against any of the bozos who sound iffy on either issue.

GET CONGRESS ATTENTION! CHANGE YOUR W-4 AT WORK AND CLAIM 10 DEPENDENTS SO NO TAXES WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR PAYCHECK. WHEN THE MONEY STOPS COMING IN MAYBE THEY WILL REMEMBER THEY ARE SERVANTS TO WE THE PEOPLE.
