So far Tom Tancredo seems to be supportive of everything that is important to me. He seems to have the best grasp on the Border issue of anyone I've heard so far. He is one of the only people to step forward and try to do something about those poor border guards who are serving time for doing their jobs in a diligent manner. He is for staying the course in Iraq and I am too because withdrawal is Victory (partial) for the enemy and they will only bring the battle to be fought over here on our own soil because a partial victory is not good enough and the war will not be over until they have killed every infidel. Abortion, marriage, family, he seems to be right where he needs to be, but does anyone know where he stands in support of Israel? I cannot vote for anyone who would ask Israel to give up land to the Palestinians who have NO rightful claim to the land that God gave to His people. Palestine was created less than 100 yrs ago! Before that it never existed!

I agree with that James and Im not sure where he stands on that. Perhaps you can go to Team Tancredo site and send him a message. When you get that answer post it back here for us. Thanks. God forbid we should try to force them to give up what God gave to them. We will surely be found fighting God. God is plenty big enough to take care of Himself and us as long as we honor Him #1.

I Googled for a bit, and didn't find direct quotes from Tom. I did find that he sponsored a Congressional Resolution expressing solidarity with Israel. The bill is 02-HR392 on Apr 18, 2002. The link to this bill is here:

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery...

Here's a quick summary:

Tancredo sponsored a Congressional Resolution expressing solidarity with Israel:

  • [The United States] expresses solidarity with Israel as it takes necessary steps to provide security to its people by dismantling the terrorist infrastructure in the Palestinian areas; and
  • Commits to Israel's right to self-defense and support for additional U.S. assistance.
  • Condemns the recent wave of Palestinian suicide bombings and the ongoing support and coordination of terror by Yasir Arafat and other members of the Palestinian leadership.
  • Demands that the Palestinian Authority fulfill its commitment to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure in the Palestinian areas.
  • Expresses concern that Arafat's actions are not those of a viable partner for peace.
  • Urges all Arab states to declare their unqualified opposition to all forms of terrorism, particularly suicide bombing, and all parties in the region to pursue peace in the Middle East.
  • Commends the President for his leadership in addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
  • Encourages the international community to take action to alleviate the humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people.

I found this info on a site that I have never seen before. It looks like this site has what issues each candidate is talking about. The website is here:

Yes, thank you for for providing an answer to my question Cool

I did go to the team tancredo site a few weeks ago and couldn't find a spot to ask any questions.  Afterward I went to Tom's official Colorado state site and sent the question directly to him, I never got a reply.  (Probably best not to use that website for election purposes anyway!)

So far I have not found one fault in Tom Tancredo's political positions.
