Someone pointed this out to me earlier. It's quite an anit-Romney website but still gives me great pause. I've become one of those damned 1- issue -voters that I've heard so much about in the last few years. Immigration is my 1 issue. Unfortunately the website gives no info about his stand on this though I suspect if it was a good one it wouldn't be found there. His past stands on perverts "rights" are quite disturbing. A high percentage of illegal aliens are sexual preditors & one wonders if he would side with them.
You see, this stuff here is pretty dangerous for a so called "conservative Republican".
I'm a FIRM believer in state's rights. This means that a truely conservative individual would take the opposite stance while governor of a state, but if he/she is in a federal position I could see letting these positions slide since it's not the job of the federal government to make laws on abortion or homosexuality (except when it comes to funding).
Though Romney, has gone the extra mile, and supports the legalized theft on the fruits of our labor to FUND these haneous acts of murder, and homosexual perversion.
Social issues are really not that important to me because God will deal with the life choices one makes and it's hypocritical to legislate a few of the 10 commandments and not all 10. Though if we look at Romney's economic positions it gets even worse. He supported socialized medicine in his state, minimum wage laws, etc.
Wow, it's no wonder that Romney is the poster child of the presidency for the mainstream media!
Thank GOD the people are wanting a change and Ron Paul is still leading the pack. Hopefully he can carry this momentum past the May 15th debate as well.
Did you ever think of what it means when the book says the government shall be apon His shoulders? We are His hands. Is there anything thats not important?
These front runners or poster children, are just hollywood gone to politics. Actors telling Americans what they think Americans should want to do.
Hmmm, I was curious as to what Tom Tancredo meant when he said conversion should be on the road to Damascus not on the road to Demoins. I think I understand now....lol.
On the Other Hand, I found this hailing Romney's pro-family agenda:
Dear conservative friends:
We hail from a broad spectrum of organizations dedicated to fighting for the pro-family agenda in Massachusetts. As you know, Mitt Romney became the governor of our state in 2003. Since that time, we have worked closely with him and his excellent staff on that agenda.
Some press accounts and bloggers have described Governor Romney interms we neither have observed nor can we accept. To the contrary, we, who have been fighting here for the values you also hold, are indebted to him and his responsive staff in demonstrating solid social conservative credentials by undertaking the following actions here in Massachusetts:
• Staunchly defended traditional marriage. Governor Romney immediately and strongly condemned the 2003 court decision that legalized “same-sex marriage” in our state. More importantly, he followed up on that denunciation with action – action that saved our nation from a constitutional crisis over the definition of marriage. He and his staff identified and enforced a little-known 1913 law that allowed them to order local clerks not to issue marriage licenses to out-of-state couples. Absent this action, homosexual couples would surely have flooded into Massachusetts from other states to get “married” and then demanded that their home states recognize the “marriages,” putting the nation only one court decision away from nationalizing “same-sex marriage.”
• Worked hard to overturn “same-sex marriage” in the Commonwealth with considerable progress to date. In 2004 he lobbied hard, before a very hostile legislature, for a constitutional amendment protecting marriage – an amendment later changed by the legislature to include civil unions, which the Governor and many marriage amendment supporters opposed. Working with the Governor, we were successful in defeating this amendment.
• Provided active support for a successful citizen petition drive in 2005 to advance a clean constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
• Rallied thousands of citizens to focus public and media attention on the failure of legislators, through repeated delays, to perform their constitutional obligation and vote on the marriage amendment.
• Filed suit before the Supreme Judicial Court. The Governor’s suit asked the court to clarify the legislators’ duty to vote and failing that, to place the amendment on the 2008 ballot. That lawsuit, perhaps more than any other single action, was by all accounts instrumental in bringing pressure on the legislators to vote. The vote ultimately was taken on January 2, 2007 and won legislative support – clearing a major hurdle in the three year effort to restore traditional marriage in the Commonwealth.

BobbyXD9 said: Thanx, Wing. I wonder if we can get a consenses on what the truth is. Anybody in here live in Mass?
Bobby,
Seriously, this isn't global warming. Why do we need a consensus?
Mitt Romney has a record. He is a neocon. Why do we even consider these clowns just because the MEDIA tells us we should?!?!
Why we get to the point where we simply do not care about polls, do not care what the MSM tells us, and be able to simply write-in a candidate that is the best person for the job and have that person win?
The media controls our elections, that's a problem.
Hi There! Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney came out in support of the Federal Government's (along with disgraceful Attorney Johnny Sutton's Malicious and Ruthless Prosecution), of the two former Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean. Mitt Romney is against these two former Border patrol agents being pardoned and Freed. That reason alone is pretty much enough for a reason for me, why I am Not going to vote for him for President. I am planning on either voting for Duncan Hunter for President, or maybe Tom Tancredo for President. Bot of these Presidential Candidates are for the Pardoned and Freedom of the wrongly convicted two former Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean.
Why Romney didn't make it into the Senate and why I'll never vote for him.
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney had a good reason to tell voters in Dover, New Hampshire yesterday that if elected President, "I presume I would take the salary and then I would donate at least that amount -- or more -- to charity." Romney wants to prevent a repetition of his failed 1994 Senate campaign when his corporate success turned into a liability.
In that campaign, Romney was on the verge of taking down the most prominent Democrat up for election that year, Senator Ted Kennedy. In September, 1994, with just seven weeks to go, polls showed Romney slightly ahead. A wave of anti-Democratic sentiment then sweeping the nation would give the GOP control of both the House and Senate in November.
On election day, however, Kennedy crushed Romney by a 17-point margin, 58-41. One factor was Kennedy's unexpectedly strong performance in two debates, a sharp contrast to Romney's shaky stage presence. Romney said, "I believe that Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years, that we should sustain and support it, and I sustain and support that law and the right of a woman to make that choice. And my personal beliefs, like the personal beliefs of other people, should not be brought into a political campaign." Kennedy shot back: "I am pro-choice; my opponent is multiple choice."
The back-breaker for Romney was a series of television ads produced by Bob Shrum (author of the book, due out shortly, No Excuses: Concessions of a Serial Campaigner). Charlie Baker, the Kennedy campaign's senior strategist that year, told The Huffington Post that the ads were designed "to get on the record all sides of Romney's business career" -- a hugely successful leveraged-buyout practice that Romney claimed had created jobs.
The Kennedy campaign discovered that Ampad, a company purchased by Romney's Bain Capital in 1992, had recently bought SCM, an office products company in Marion, Indiana. All 350 workers at the SCM plant were laid off, then offered their jobs back at reduced wages. They went on strike. The Kennedy campaign sent a crew to Marion to film the workers. A half dozen ads resulted from the interviews, most of them quoting workers denouncing Romney for lining his pockets at their expense. A women tells viewers: "I'd like to say to the people of Massachusetts, if you think it can't happen to you, think again, because we thought it couldn't happen here either." Romney nosedived in the polls.
Asked if this issue could resurface in 2008, Matt Rhoades, Romney's communications director, told Huff Post: "Governor Romney isn't a first-time candidate running against a Kennedy in Massachusetts this time. He is running on an agenda to bring real conservative change to Washington. He's the right man at the right time to turn Washington around."
Mr. Romney is an individual who is inculcated with the AntiAmerican doctrines, dogmas, teachings, and agenda of what Joseph Smith (the founder of Mr. Romney's church to which he is loyal and wherein his core believes reside) quite comfortably referred to as Islam of the West/America's Islam while calling himself Muhammad of the West/America's Muhammad. Unless or until Mr. Romney either renounces his beliefs with respect to them being intertwined in the insanities of his so-called Latter-Day faith, denounces Joseph Smith for what the man was; i.e., a lunatic and self-deceived religious fanatic and liar, and publicly rebukes the agendas of any and all theocracies and their agendas (especially one grounded in Islamic dogmas) he is and will remain unfit for a representative office amongst freedom lovers and supporters of the American Republic. His presidential bid should and must be rejected out of hand.
No tree stands without its GOD created compatibility with its roots/root system. The same is true of men and women with respect to their ideologies. Just say NO to a theocrat and all they stand for. There is nothing truly conservative within any theocracy.
How can life be worth living if you can't and/or don't feel alive?
You want him to renounce his religion, because it is a different brand of Christianity than yours? Please!
It is people with your ideas to trounce the free expression of religion that are dangerous. I personally don't like Romney myself, but attacking his religious beliefs is dishonest in a political setting.
I find your comparison of Mormons with Islam quite offensive. Mormons are not blowing up, behading, or torturing innocent people. Mormons do not cry out calling for the death of all infidels. Most of the Mormons I know are law abiding citizens.
"One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
Think about your signature! One nation under a god or one nation under GOD?
My comparison of "Mormon" with Islam, offensive or not, is precisely on point. Mormonism's founder, a nut job who proclaimed himself (as did Muhammad) GOD's final prophet is the one who first made the comparison, not me. He called himself America's Muhammad and his so-called "brand" of Christianity, America's Islam. Are you about rewriting history or what?
And your bit about whatever it is you surmise to be Christianity, like cattle, carrying personal ownership brands is about as far removed from a Scriptural grounding and foundation as Joseph Smith is from a listing of sane members of mankind. Who cares if you're offended? Whomever does, doesn't include me. And you are offended by what? The truth or the Truth? If it's the latter, then the issue is you are offended by Him Who is Truth, Jesus The Christ. Your opinion has no role in Christianity. Those mostly law abiding "Mormons" may very well, on that final day of mankind, find themselves to be standing proudly with Buddha, Muhammad, Jim Jones, Herbert and Garner Ted Armstrong, and the Pharisees and hear Jesus of Nazareth, as revealed by Holy Scripture, answer them with a resounding, "Depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you," as opposed to, "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the Eternal Kingdom".
What I find highly offensive is someone who declares himself a conservative with political acumen using a thoughtful and meaningful phrase of "One nation under God..." as a signature to his political pronouncements without a careful and thoughtful consideration of what is therein expressed. The acknowledgment is a confirmation that this nation was founded pursuant to the principles of The One and Only True and Triune Holy and Righteous GOD of Creation Who is the Sovereign of the entire Universe and it is within His Self Revelation and His Will where the founders of the nation found their strength and inspiration to not only draft the nation's foundational documents but also to intentionally create and establish the nation as a Republic as opposed to a theocracy, monarchy, democracy, or aristocracy.
Your allegation that it is people like me, who allegedly trounce the free expression of religion, who are dangerous is about as uninformed, unread, unenlightened, childish, and wholly off the wall as it gets. I would willingly die to protect your temporal right to freely express your religious freedom even if in doing so it means you dance in public while wearing nothing more than a g string and a pair of white athletic socks because your "god" insists upon your doing so during your worship of him/her/it. What a farce you are.
Your liberated-all-inclusive religiosity is no different than the philosophical nonsense of an atheist, a left-winged liberal, a communist, socialist, agnostic, a I must drown my kids in the bathtub to keep Satan away from them, or a here, drink this poisoned Kool-Aid cult insisting on an equal footing with Christ and Christianity. Just doesn't work that way, Hector, ol' conservative one! Nope! Christianity alone is Christian. No counterfeits, no almost the same things, no real close to its. If it's not of Christ it isn't Christian. If one is not solely of Christ one is not Christian. If it's not Christian than it's not Christianity.
Perhaps you were born to speak out on political parties and their candidates but you are by your revealed thoughts poorly equipped to theologically speak for Christ, Christians, or Christianity. Know Him first before you pretend to know what in the heck it is that you opine with respect to your branding of His disciples and their faith, Christianity -- The Way , plain and simple with no other way accepted or acceptable. Any competition or competitor is of Satan or humanists and is immediately disqualified with respect to salvation and eternal life irrespective of books written, gold tablets found buried beneath a tree's trunk, personal charisma, quantity of marihuana smoked, visions, sermons spewed, number of rolls taken upon a church sanctuary's floor, amount of hooping it up in the church aisles, etc. If it is not of Christ, not of Christ's Scriptures, not of Christ's once and only and for all and all times delivered Gospel then it isn't Christian. And to insist otherwise is simply the rants of a moron, regardless of the moron's sincerity and political persuasion and apparent law abiding nature.
How can life be worth living if you can't and/or don't feel alive?
Ever since I joined the church in the early 60's, I've heard that one day the constitution would be "hanging by a thread" and that a Mormon would save it. Back then I couldn't imagine our beloved Constitution being in that kind of peril. But here we are, almost there. I don't know if Mitt Romney would be that Mormon or not, I don't even know if I will vote for him. Fred looks good to me so far.....if and when he decides to run!
"Good fences make good neighbors."-Robert Frost "Too BAD!!"-Glenn Beck
Quite a pronouncement on the part of Mormonism and its Seer's prophesis. And about as credible as Muhammad's Islam's claim that one day the world and mankind would be "hanging by a thread" and that a Muslim would rise up to save it and rescue it from the infidels -- Osama bin Laden? Hmmmmm, wonder where ol' Joseph Smith filled his head with the utter nonsense which led to his claim to be America's Muhammad and his so-called church America's Islam?
The teaching to which you made reference is precisely what Mormomism's theocracy teaches. You didn't exaggerate or embellish the truth and accuracy of the teaching. And had you gone on to reveal the rest of the teaching it deals with a Mormon and the Mormon theocratic priesthood then ushering in the rule of Mormonism over the entire nation and a displacement of its civil governance with that of its priesthoods' "godly" governance. You sir, may in fact be arriving at an epiphany of Scriptural revelation with respect to the ludicrous claims of so-called Latter-Day Christianity. I hope and pray that indeed you are.
Think about it, a Mormon in and of his own strength saving the Constitution of the American Republic. Yeah, right. Doubtlessly, a very long standing apostolic teaching of Christ's disciples, Paul, Peter, John, et. al. -- NOT! How amusing, childish, and outright fanciful. Odd that not a one of the nation's founders spoke of such in the Federalist Papers. What a farce.
I know my Run, Mitt, Run bumper sticker is going to be glued to my vehicle's front bumper.
How can life be worth living if you can't and/or don't feel alive?
Ah, we shall see, won't we KWT? Although I doubt if you would ever recognize the truth even though, at some point in your eternal progression, you will surely find it.
"Good fences make good neighbors."-Robert Frost "Too BAD!!"-Glenn Beck
Eternal progression? How interesting! Your posts become more and more revealing about your pseudo-christian religion. What a nice blend of Scripture with the Eastern philosophy of reincarnation and other wholly bogus mumbo jumbo. Yep, Joseph Smith was indeed quite the translator of gold-tablets inscribed upon with an unknown, lost, and mysterious Egyptian language, writer, and theologian. Hmmm, quite accomplished young man who firstly claimed to be wholly illiterate and later claimed a third grade education.
GOD's final prophet was inerrantly inspired to just infallibly toss a little of everything into his religious crock pot. Therefore, end result: a crock!
