My group met with him in DC last week during the,"hold Their Feet To The Fire" Rally.  What a great guy.  As I'm sure you know, he is one of the few who are on our side in this fight.  He seemed most interested in hearing from the teenagers with us to get their views on the immigration.  He feels that if he can get funded to make it through Iowa & NH some of the others will drop out giving him a more clear field.  All the other top tier candidates, except Mitt Romney, are open borders/amnesty guys.  Having recently become a single-issue voter  he may be the guy.  My only concern is that America elects governors for presidents.  There hasn't been a congressman elected as president since sometime in the late 19th century.

I would personally like to see Ron Paul as president but Tancredo will probably end up being my choice when it comes right down to it.  I'll have to wait and see.  Tancredo as president and Paul as vice president would be fantastic.

IMMIGRATION: Will Representative Tom Tancredo, the Colorado Republican who has bet his campaign on a tough anti-immigrant platform, draw the other candidates out in supporting some of his policies? While such language could be helpful in a Republican primary, it could come back to haunt Republicans in a general election in this state, not to mention any other state with significant populations of immigrants.

I watched the debate this evening. I thought that when Tom did get to speak he was interrupted after the first sentence almost. Some of the candidates were allowed to speak for quite a while.

I've never watched PMSNBC before.  Who was that little blonde headed wimp that asked the questions?

I was pretty hopeful for Tancredo, I like a lot of his views.  But one thing BLEW my mind at the debates tonight.

The moderator asked, "Does anyone here NOT believe in Evolution?"

Tancredo raised his hand, so did Jim Gilmore and another.

Tancredo does not believe in Evolution!  This is the year 2007!  That is an insane position!  I'm all for a creator, but you can't start ignoring facts.

How can you make a rational decision about Global warming if you don't believe in evolution?  Or Cloning, or any scientific or technological decision if yo don't believe in one of the fundamental principles of science?!

I don't have all the answers to God or anything like that, but what he's saying is like saying I don't believe in gravity.  Or I don't believe the earth is round.  Its unfounded stubborness.  Believe in a creator, but don't discredit a fundamental pillar of the past 200 years.

Lost my vote right there.  Damn.

Is anyone's belief or non-belief in evolution going to fix our illegal immigration problem?  This was an unbelievably stupid question.

That whole debate was one big joke and unfair for the majority of candidates.  Hearing idiotic questions about Hillary, Bill, Rove. etc. was one huge insult to the Repub party.  Then everyone kissing up to Reagan.  It was one big love fest.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Then the other insulting question to Tom "who would you vote for?" I loved his answer.

They definitely didn't let him get into what he wanted to convey about illegal immigration although he did plug it when he had the chance.

Tancredo is a good guy...

But...the GOP Presidential Candidate has not entered the race yet ((he hasn't announced 'yet'))...

Last night's debate was an evening of WWRD...

""Ronald Reagan"" was the WINNER in last night's debate...SR

True Tancredo Fan. They directed the questions away from him on that issue and made sure the other got token comments in first so it wouldnt look like they were ignoring it. It was set up. His time was even cut shorter and the front runners got more speaking time. They purposely buried him. They dont want him in. Too bad....Hes still my choice. I dont take leftovers anymore.

Tancredo speaks the truth and is not afraid of going against the PC liberal BS! MSNBC showed their true colors last night. I FULLY SUPPORT TOM! He got screwed last night by LOSER Chris Matthews (a joke of a moderator).

Chris Matthews mumbled things under his breath at the candidates, and several times people would start coughing during people's speeches.  Yeah, that debate was BS.

Simple hairy13!?? (Tancredo does not believe in Evolution! This is the year 2007!) Dah! Do you think the Creator of Heaven and Earth was not smart enough to plan for 2007??? sheesh! I guess you must think the computer age is just too fast paced for God. oh my!!! I remember him saying, The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the WORD of God will stand forever!" I do see that the "evil one" did take control of your mind though, so no further response is necessary or coming from me!

And harleycat, you definately are s l i t h e r i n g around all the posts and not having anything to say, but just pushing an agenda America does not need and no one here wants! Before you get locked out anyway, you non thinkers should go find a forum you will be more accepted in like maybe Chucky Schumer's or Kenneth John Freeman's or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Praise God that you two are not one of us!!

More Tom news.  He's going to be on TV tomorrow morning on the ABC News' "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos.  Check your local listings.  We Tancredo supporters shouldn't miss this one.

It's great that he has a chance to be on a national show so soon after the debate.

Tom Tancredo can not depend on the drive-by-media to get his message out to the American voters.  He must do like President Reagan did and take his message directly to the American  people.
