I just read this article about the upcoming marches that are pro-illegal immigrant.  Yes, it is full of all the same rhetoric as most pieces, but a few telling quotes indicate that the pressure we are applying is doing some good.  Here they are:

After last year's protests, reform legislation stalled in Congress and bipartisan proposals for illegal immigrants to gain citizenship have gotten more conservative.

Organizers said Tuesday's turnout will be lower because stepped-up raids in recent months have left many immigrants afraid to speak out in public - a major change over rallies in 2006 when some illegal immigrants wore T-shirts saying "I'm illegal. So what?"

It may not be a clear cut victory, but this is certainly reason to keep the pressure on and keep making our voices heard.  Let's make them more afraid to speak out in public.

"Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle... In this age, there can be no substitute for Christianity... That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants." Charles Carrol, signer of Declaration of Independence, framer of the Bill of Rights, delegate to the Constitutional Convention, U.S. Senator

WE MUST NEVER STOP RESISTING THIS NONSENSE! EVER!

"We do need to play by the rules. The people affilitated with NCLR, etc. will let emotions get the best of them and will put their feet into their own mouths by their actions. Just look at the demonstrations and the way the people act. What we need to do is outsmart all of them. We have the brainpower. We need to operate as a cohesive, unified, smart group." Now is the time to start putting more pressure on Washington. If you haven't done so already, call your senators and harrass the hell out of them. Threaten them if their jobs if they don't come across and start looking out for the welfare of the people they work for.

I agree with you, John07, and while you're writing, faxing, or calling those representatives don't mince words.  I like to think that John McCain's face was ashen for so long because he read my letter to him calling him, point blank, "a treasonous traitor to Americans everywhere."  We have no choice but to tell it like we see it, and how it really is because in the end the only ones who are suffering are AMERICANS.  I care not how hard an illegal alien has it in his/her own country.  If it's that bad, then start a revolution at home and FIX IT YOURSELVES instead of INVADING OUR COUNTRY!

I'd like to agree with you, Mom, but I don't think they are at all afraid to speak out in public, at least not around here.

"Just because the 12 million people who don't have legal residency don't attend a march doesn't mean they don't want it," said Eduardo "Piolin" Sotelo, a popular Spanish-language disc jockey. "I tell my listeners that no matter what they do, just don't stop doing something."

Piolin ( pronounced:  pee-oh-leen) is not behind the rally this time like he was last year. He and the other Spanish-speaking radio hosts were totally behind the march last time.  Also, mayor Villaraigosa is out of the country right now visiting South America.  Not because he doesn't support the rally, but because he always says something to get himself in trouble.  Last time he stood on a wall and shouted "there are no illegals here!".   He wants to run for govenor!

I definately agree that we have to keep up the pressure.

I actually just called the ICE hotline to report suspicious activity as marchers moved through SF and Oakland.

How can Bush want to crush our schools, jails, colleges and Social Security systems for his NWO goals?

 Why is there no OUTRAGE?

I have called my representatives, sent them faxes, called other representatives and written letters!

Border Officers Campeon, Ramos and Hernandez are still in jail!

Bush is still in office!

My House Rep. is still kissing the behinds of the Illegals!

English is still not the national lanquage of America!

The Illegals are still here and marching in my streets!

I attend Anti Illegal Protests where only 20 Patriots show up!

What good does it do? So far nothing!

One snowflake doesn't amount to much.  Lay down billions of snowflakes and get them rolling downhill; you have an avalanche.  The same goes for the grassroots movement.  The more voices the louder the chorus.  Your Reps and Sens may ignore you, but when thousands are incessently calling, writing, e-mailing, faxing, and hounding him/her at public events it is effective. They only like the spotlight when it is favorable to them. If everyone of us gets two people off the couch and involved; it's a victory. Each of those get two more involved, and so on. We shouls all be shovelling coal into the furnace and turning up the heat.

I will continue sending my basic message to my Congressman and two Senators over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.................you get the point.

Subject: [LIBERTYISNOTFREE] Fwd: Free seed

A funny parallel or NOT
Subject: Bird Feeder Recall

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.
Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, table…everywhere. Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And other birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the back yard was like it used to be…quite, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let's see…our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the illegal's came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments housing 5 families: you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor: your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English: Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to press "one" to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than "Old Glory" are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. Maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

Today legalization tomorrow we vote. Did you ever try to put a cat in a sack. The border is a sack and the Gimmegrunts are the cat. What they can't get they will steal. that is what happens in Mexico everyday. No one can be trusted not even your relatives. They may be God fearing Catholics but they steal today and go to confession tomorrow and everything will be ok. Petty theft in Mexico is never prosecuted or one penny spent to find the perpetrator. Don't bother calling the police they are in on it. Gee that kinda sounds like the United States of America today. As long as the border is not closed you will never get rid of the Illegals. You send 5 back today and 1000 come over tonight. Not real good odds at acheiving anything.
