I sent a letter last night to Texas Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn and other representatives to oppose S.1105 and also another one by Sheila Lee.  I'm sure they are tired of hearing from me. Ha Ha. Too Bad.

Sheila Jackson Lee put a bill up also against hate crime .  Just another one to vote against.  They just keep coming. I told them I did not want them to vote for any hate crimes bill we already have laws to cover all that.  I am not a fan of Sheila Jacka.. Lee. I would luv to see her out of office.  I can't find it, I'll keep looking.  I read it somewhere and just went ahead and sent a letter against it.

AMAZING! Our moral barometer is a man that was laying drunk by a bridge after driving his pregnant girlfriend, he had while married, into the water. Please tell me that this can not be used to protect the Illegal Immigrants.

We are trying to get rid of them, This bill could even give them the right to work. We would have no way of stopping them. It would be Illegal for us to even try.  Could they be considered a discriminated group under this law? Maybe I read more into it than is really there.

Can some one explain to me why we need a hate crime bill in the first place ?

What possible differance does it make if you do any thing criminal/ against the law ? It's a crime period.

Are the supporters of this bill going to stop people from hateing, being racist or any other thing ? No I don't think so. If someone beats the living daylights out of someone and is arrested for assault and battery I don't really care why they did it they will get the punishment anyway. It's not like being charged with a hate crime is going to make any difference in the way the hateful person think's, they will probably hate even more and when they get out they will do it again only a bit smarter so they don't get caught.

I wondered if anyone besides me picked up on that.  Yes, they can be considered a discriminated group under the wording of this bill.  This is how they get We, The People to shut the hell up about the illegals.

Sheila Jackass Lee.....what a pathetic waste of time, air, and space on this planet.  She was speaking in Houston a couple of years ago during the first episodes of the Minutemen arrivals.  "What we need are more well defined laws on immigration....not armed thugs or vigilantes."  I was stunned.  Then, one lone tall cowboy stepped forward towards her and asked how more laws would stem this illegal alien problem.  She said, "With a better immigration policy to make entry into our country less problematic we can stop the illegal immigration."  Again....I wanted to slap her.  The cowboy simply responded by drawing a Springfield Armory 1911 A1 from his jacket and asked her, "If I wave your book full of laws in one hand and point this .45 auto with the other hand.....which one do you think will garner more attention from an illegal alien, Ms. Jackson?"  As our illustrious HPD officers closed in on him he drew out his identification and the cops stopped dead in their tracks.  Ol' Sheila demanded that he be arrested on the spot for brandishing a weapon in front of her.  The senior HPD officer looked at her plainly and stated, "We can't do that, Ms. Jackson."  Lee bellowed out, "Why not?" 

The officer said flatly..............."He's a Texas Ranger."

With that the Ranger smiled at her and said, "Excuse me, ma'am.....I have to go protect the citizens of Texas from the bad guys....and the politicians."

I simply love the Texas Rangers.

'Hate incident' in city

LEWISTON - One student has been suspended and more disciplinary action could follow a possible hate crime at Lewiston Middle School, Superintendent Leon Levesque said Wednesday.

On April 11, a white student placed a ham steak in a bag on a lunch table where Somali students were eating. Muslims consider pork unclean and offensive.

The act reminded students of a man who threw a pig's head into a Lewiston mosque last summer.

The school incident is being treated seriously as "a hate incident," Levesque said. Lewiston police are investigating, and the Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence is working with the school to create a response plan.

"We've got some work to do to turn this around and bring the school community back together again," Levesque said.

Placing ham where Muslim students were eating was "an awful thing," said Stephen Wessler, executive director of the Center for Prevention of Hate Violence. "It's extraordinarily hurtful and degrading" to Muslims, whose religion prohibits them from being around ham. It's important to respond swiftly, Wessler said.

"Incidents like this that involve degrading language or conduct are often said by the perpetrator as a joke. I know that conduct is never static," he said. "It's part of a process of escalation."

If people think insulting Muslims with ham is OK, "More degrading acts will follow, until at some point we'll end up having violence," Wessler said.

The incident does not reflect the moral values of the school staff and students, Levesque said. "We need to take a look at this and review how a careless act is degrading and causes hurt to other people. All our students should feel welcome and safe in our schools."

He said a letter would be sent home to parents explaining what happened and outlining the school's response. Wessler will meet with students to address the school's climate, and staff will talk about how to respond to and prevent future hate incidents

'I didn't feel safe'

A 14-year-old Somali boy, whose mother asked that his name not be published, said he was eating lunch with four other Somali students on April 11. He noticed many others in the cafeteria "standing up, looking at us."

One boy came near, began laughing and threw a bag on the table while other students laughed and said, 'Good job.'"


The boy said he looked up at students he thought were his friends. "I felt angered, offended."

He suddenly felt like he was alone. "At the school the next day, I didn't feel safe. I felt like everybody was against me. Before I felt like I fit in, and everything was normal."

He began to think white students didn't like him, and the act was their way of letting him know.

On Thursday, several students came up to him and said, "Those guys who did it were jerks. I apologize for them, and I hope you feel better."

The boy said they did make him feel better. "But for the rest of my life when I remember middle school, this will pop up right away."

He spoke out because he wants the community to know what happened, "that there is something like this going on in our schools."

Wessler and Levesque said the act happened the day before April vacation began, which prevented educators from gathering information.

"This is not done," Wessler said.

I just got done sending this e-mail to both my senators.....

I just read Senate Bill 1105 authored by none other than Senator Kennedy.

This bill does no more than to protect illegals and punishes citizens and citizen minded groups. In addition it can be twisted to violate our rights under the 1st Amendment.Explain exactly what will determine a hate crime has been committed?

I do not need Kennedy to dictate to me what hate is. Also if his intend is to do away with hate in the US, then I would think that groups such as LaRaza, MECHA, A.C.T.I.O.N, & LULAC will be disbanded, or does this law just pertain to citizens of the US & LEGAL Imigrants?

It is evident our government no longer serves the American People and Legal Immigrants. It seems ironic that a bill such as this would come into play when citizens/legal immigrants are becoming very aware of the NAU....would this have anything to do with the "free flow of people across our borders" and insuring Americans accept and not speak out against the NAU?
