Dear God, just reported that the police found two 9mm pistols. My mother just called telling me the news, unbelievable.

First of all the governor is in Asia. This Asian man in his 20's makes me suspicious. If this scenario occurs again terrorists are, or at least could be, at work. Possible? It was well planned. Doors locked, etc. 2 9mm handguns and ammo. Well armed for the "siucide mission". We'll see where the investigation leads.

Apparently the shooter had no cell phone, no ID,  finger prints brought up nothing, and he shot himself in the face.   They're having a hard time IDing him.

I tend to agree with JHK-there's much we don't know yet, and I wonder if we'll be told everything about the background of this. Remember the recent Utah mall shooting, involving a young Muslim man from Kosovo? Worth noting as well is the fact that over a year ago, the Va. General Assembly defeated a bill which would have allowed law-abiding concealed weapon permit holders to carry on campuses in the state. Maybe someday these idiots will learn the difference between "feeling" safe and actually being safe.

My heart and prayers go out to the families and friends.

I pray the media will tell us the truth.

I heard on this morning early news that persons with known links to Al Queda were applying for school bus driver's licenses. Did anyone else hear this? This is pretty scary in light of the this terrible news of the shootings at VA.Tech. Is there a link? Time will tell and we had all better be on guard. I agree with JHK as well, we had better stay alert and watch, our lives and those of our children are at stake.

I would be very surprised if Islam had anything to do with this. They are, after all, the religion of peace.

The mall shooting here was supposedly just a depressed teen, not a terrorist act. That is, at least, what we've been told. It seems that this was too well planned, though. It seems so terrorist-like. There has to be a LOT more we're not hearing yet. It really scares me. I'm praying for those families like crazy. So, so sad.

You can't be serious? They only give the name or description when the perpetrator is white. They never describe the person or give the name if they are  Mexican, black or arab-mid-eastern.

I live about 30 miles from VT, this is so sad. I heard on the local news that this was an asian guy that was looking for his girlfriend ( this info came from a VT Student). So much has been said today it will take awhile to get it all together and figured out. We need to remember the familes of these victims and pray for strength for them.

You're right, of course...everything is too jumbled right now for us to know anything for sure.  The important thing is doing what we can for the families, in prayer, in thought, whatever...

 

Sadly, another example of governmental failure with respect to taking an honest approach to individual rights, liberties, and freedoms.  We live in times where the citizen must arm himself/herself for personal security reasons and the protection and defense of family, loved ones, associates, friends, and other third parties.  The police have proven themselves to be nearly worthless in the prevention of violence and crimes against persons and property.  Long ago they surrendered their roles as peace officers and became governmental lackeys, ofttimes thugs in reality, postured to enforce ludicrous and unconstitutional laws, regulations, ordinances, and court rulings.

The founders of the United States Republic very well recognized the necessity of an armed citizenry in keeping with the spirit of individual rights, freedoms, liberties, and responsibilities.  The founders of the undermining movement which works tirelessly to displace the Republic with an unlawful and unconstitutional democracy are to be blamed and should be held accountable for such sad and tragic incidences as is this one.

I agree with EG. If your white your guilty unless you have a rich family and Princton Lawyers.

If it was a white guy his picture would have been on the news hours ago and the media would be camping outside his families house already.

So true EG. You dont find out about that till much later. I saw the count go to 31 then 32 with another building 2 hours earlier. This man was carrying any ID and it didnt say anything about him other then male. They are not even positive if its the same person as the first building. I didnt quite hear all those details Fire. thanks. what one of us misses another picks up.
