www.nctimes.com/articles/2007/04/15/news/top_stories/01_11_024_14_07.txt

note within the story that only 1,000new Border patrol agents are in process of being hired for the 6,000 positions President Jorge Bush wants to fill. Note also the reference to the vast majority of the National Guard troops being on the border UNARMED and acting as construction workers and observers. The stats about the reduction in arrests is a LIE.

I am SORRY. I have tried everything to get the above link to work properly yet it still does not. Click the link above, the click ADVANCED SEARCH on that page. On the search page type in  "national guard" and "april 15,2007" and the top search result is the article I am referring to. Sorry again.

They might as well come home they just got in the way because they had no means to defend themselves and the border patrol had to follow them where they went to let them know they were fixing to get attacked so they could retreat.

Just as well as they have to back away from invaders. I am afraid one of them will end up injured if they stay and are not allowed to protect themself. Then there is the fear that if they do protect themselves that they would end up prosecuted and put in prison. It is bad enough for the border agents.Frown

Unless they or any other unit is allowed to do their job without micromanagement they may as well just put a State welcome station on the borders where the illegals can get a cup of coffee and a road map.Wink

I don't get it!  people crossing the border with guns and drugs sound like invaders to me! We should be training our troops for Iraq and Afghanistan on our border

its part of the SPP, the plan going into affect to unify Mexico, USA, and Canada.  This is just another reason to vote for Ron Paul or Tancredo.  Rudy McRomney is going right along with the program.  The program that's good for the corporation, bad for everyday americans.

RON PAUL is on the congressional finance committee, he understands how to fight this.  RON PAUL 2008!
