Who needs hell when we've got Iraq, torture, serial murderers, pedophiles, disappearances with no recourse and slasher movies?  Humans have created hell on earth.  Bush, in trying to fight extremist Muslims has made us into that which we abhor.  He has much to answer to God for.  One of these days, Karma is going to catch up with him.

Marijam, I believe the sufferings in this life will be heaven compared to the suffering in the next life—for those who die in their sins. This life is the closest thing to hell that Christians will ever know, and the closest thing to heaven that sinners will ever know.

There's definitely a hell.  And I like Bill Wiese's version.  It's exactly what I've heard in the past.  But I hope you know that those demons were once people -- the worst ones who ever lived on earth.  This should make everyone cringe and take stock of what kind of damage they're heaping upon their souls on a daily basis so they don't find themselves heading in that direction.

That we have to experience hell on earth wouldn't happen if we would all love each other as it says in the Golden Rule - love your neighbor as yourself -- do unto others as you would want them to do unto you (and this means doing something good -- not bad).  But as Jesus said, the wheat and the tares have to live together on this earth.  So it behooves us to pray for our wayward brothers and sisters who are causing us all this havoc.

Of course hell is real.  Where else would most of our politicians go?

You know, folks, there really is a literal hell.  We are not dealing with flesh and blood, but principalities, powers and rulers of darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in high places that want to deceive and take as many people as possible to hell with them.  We're dealing with strongholds that are trying to exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. We must have on our armor and bring them into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (Ephesians 6:10-18 and Corinthians 10:4-6)

I pray that all those people who are bound by Satan and his demon cohorts with grave-clothes and strongholds, would be loosed, freed and let go NOW, in Jesus Name, Amen!

There is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to be shunned. Hell is real where the worm dieth not and there is no quenching of the flames.

The rich man lifted his eyes from Hell and beheld Lazarus. Proof enough for me.

I lean on Jesus to make it through every day.

Satan and his demons are roaming about on earth and their time is limited.  Their busy perverting the minds of men and women so they can take them to hell.  Here's some things to consider:

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The Bible categorizes these spirits:

Principalities (archaeas) – high ranking devils that are over nations – every region of the world has a ruling spirit over it – these ruling spirits have a way they operate: A) Direct plans for countries – B) influence government and decisions; C) decisions that maintain unrighteous control and oppress the seed. (i.e. taking prayer out of school, abortion, homosexuality, etc.) – to govern people corporately –

Powers (Exousia) –regions – local rulers or local authorities (you will find that one state has a different ruler than another state ) These powers work on 3 basic principles: A) desire to influence; B) desire to alter perception (the perception of America is Disneyland) these local governments work off of influence; C) to affect the media and decision makers (billboards, television, radio, mayors, school board, etc.) if we as believers are not involved

Rulers – world rulers that affect religion; A) deceive; B) delude; C) confuse – rulers that affect the religious mindsets – ( i.e.peace at any cost – multi faith sevices, etc.)

Spiritual Host of Wickedness (foot soldiers);Harassment, divisions in churches; backbiting; confusion – if there is suddenly all kinds of confusion it’s A) Cause unusual accidents; B) Delays; C) Harassment; D) Suppress the truth; E) Influence division in churches

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. The kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by faith – there has to be some violent casting out, some violent praying, some violent speaking of the word.

The nature of demons:

They are evil - 1 Samuel 8:9-10 Judges 9:23

They are intelligent - Acts 16:16; 1 Tim 4:1 – it’s an evil intelligence

They are powerful and violent - Mark 5:1-14

They are not human – Matthew 10:7 (a man possessed by a devil – a man under the influence of the demon) demons are disembodied spirits looking for a body to fulfill their desires for lust, for sickness, for hatred, for rebelliousness – the devil is an angelic being who was cast down from heaven.

Demons are always looking for a physical body – when people die, spirits leave them

They have knowledge - Matthew 9:29

They have a will – 1 Cor 10:20-21

They have emotions Acts 8:7

They have desires Matthew 8:28-31

Demons can teach 1 Tim 4:4; Matthew 13:10; Ephes 4:27; Worship;

They can befriend you Act 16:16 when Paul addresses the spirit in that woman, Paul is dealing with the demon of that area – they dealt with a governing spirit over an area that caused a riot over the city. They weren’t just dealing with a little spirit over the woman, they were dealing with the spirit over the region. Luke says that Jesus appointed the 70 to cast out demons.

I certainly think hell is real so far as being an actual place.

I ask you, where else could the likes of such ilk as Hitler, Stalin, Muhammed, Joseph Smith, Herbert and Garner Ted Armstrong, papists, abortion advocates, Islamic fundamentalist muslims, communist elitists, socialistic humanists, evolutionists, agnostics, atheists, and all other intentionally criminal and perverse offscourings of humanity gladly gather together in the very presence of Satan's kinship so as to endlessly swap "war stories" about their futile battles with and against the One true and living Triune GOD who created the whole of the universe where for all eternity He shall sovereignly rule in grace, righteousness, holiness, and love?

How can life be worth living if you can't and/or don't feel alive?

Prayer Alert
Francis Frangipane

By now, most of us are aware of the horror that, for three hours, roared up from the bowels of hell and flooded the campus of Virginia Tech University. Forgive me for telling this like it is, but the murderer was not merely “troubled,” he was demon-possessed. Cho Seung-Hui, murdered thirty-two students and faculty, then turned his gun toward his own face and pulled the trigger. Students that survived the attack reported hearing, at one point, Cho Seung-Hui laughing maniacally as he shot his victims in cold blood.

There are many appalling consequences of his actions, but the one I want to us to particularly pay attention to is that there is often a “copycat” element in these kind of things. As grotesque as the darkness was that lived in Cho Seung-Hui, he is not a “one-of-a-kind” human. There are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of people in America who are similarly demonized.

These are individuals who usually live in isolation and hatred. They are so deeply entrenched in spiritual darkness, they do not know how to climb out. While these tormented people might look and appear almost normal, their thoughts are the mutterings of demons. Seeing the chaos Cho Seung-Hui spawned, these crazed people carry a demonic impulse: they desire to kill more people than he did. The voices, inwardly compelling them, whisper they have nothing to lose. In fact, they are convinced their crimes will make them famous.

Some of you think I’m exaggerating or over reacting. I’m not. I’m simply asking we take a strong prayer initiative against a demonic multiplication of this horror. Did you know that by Tuesday, the day after the Virginia Tech massacre, threats had already occurred in many places? Forced “lock-downs and evacuations at universities, high schools and middle schools [have occurred] in at least 10 states on Tuesday,” according to the Associated Press.

The report continued, “Threats in Louisiana, Montana and Washington state directly mentioned the massacre in Virginia, while others were reports of suspicious activity in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Tennessee, North Dakota, South Dakota and Michigan. In Louisiana, parents picked up hundreds of students from Bogalusa's high school and middle school amid reports that a man had been arrested Tuesday morning for threatening a mass killing in a note that alluded to the murders at Virginia Tech” (
My Way News - Threats Rattle Schools in 10 States).

Of course, not everyone who calls in a threat is intent on fulfilling it. Some people think it is “funny” to cause disruption. However, we need to increase our intercession, especially that these copycat atrocities would not occur. We need to pray that sick, demonized people will find Christ and get help. We also need to be discerning. If someone you know begins ranting that “things are going to change” or “you’ll see,” tell the police immediately. Indeed, let us especially pray for the police and all who are in authority that plans conceived in hell will not be fulfilled on earth.

Finally, let us not be passive. Rather, let us stand before God for our communities. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord promises to raise up a standard. Let us, therefore, stand up. Let’s not only pray that God will thwart any further copycat acts of violence, but that He’ll use what has occurred to bring our nation back to Him.

"You are using scare tactics by talking about hell and Judgment Day."  Am I????

In the late 1980s, TV commercials in the U.S. asked, "What goes through the mind of a driver who is not wearing a seat belt in a head- n collision?" Then they showed a crash dummy having its head crushed by a steering wheel in a collision, and said, "The steering wheel!" Those were scare tactics, but no one complained because they were legitimate scare tactics. That’s what happens in a head-on collision if you are foolish enough to not put on a seat belt. To warn of hell is fearful, but it is absolutely legitimate, because the Bible says that it is a fearful thing for a sinner to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hell is real and there is nothing that anyone can say that will make Hell go away or close its doors. As a matter of fact, it has no doors. People don't like to think about hell and profess to not believe in hell because they do not want to face the fact that they will be held accountable for their sin.

People want to have the freedom to live their lives as they wish without fear of concequenses. We have this mis-conception of what it is that sends a person to hell. We think that it is something that we can do something about on our own without anyone else's help. I heard someone say that they belive that people, in general, are "basically good", and that that is all God requires for people to be let into heaven.

The fact is, being "basically good", or in anyway "good", is not what affords anyone entry into heaven. The problem is that, every single individual has been infected with this thing which has no human remedy called sin. It is like a desease that has no earthly cure. It saturates every single cell of our bodies, which are tagiable, and our souls which are spiritual. Sin is our nature which is, kind of, in our genetic make-up. Just like we can nothing about the color of our skin, eyes or hair, we can do nothing to change our sinful nature. This sinful nature is what is going to send us straight to hell.

Some people believe that because God is so loving, He could not possibly send one of His creation to hell. What we must understand, is that God is equally as just as He is loving. As long we do not allow Jesus to take away our sin, we are condemned to and eternity away from God in a place that is completely opposite to who God is.

Because we cannot be righteous (pure and sinless) as Christ is (because sin is part of our DNA), we, then, must place our trust in Christ's righteousness (pure and sinless nature) to make us pure and sinless in God's eyes. The only way for us to do that, is to ask Jesus to save us form this sinful nature and certain death by asking to come live in us and be Lord of our lives. When we ask Him to save us, He comes to live in us and when God the Father looks into our hearts and souls, He no longer sees our sin, but Christ and His righteousness.

This is the only way to avoid going to hell. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6 (bold added)

Love in Christ,

Phil C.
