to my complaint about amnesty and illegal aliens. He never mentioned a word about my criticism of his stand on amnesty. Notice they aren't 'illegal aliens,' they're 'immigrants.'  I guess calling them undocumented workers hasn't worked out, so they become Immigrants....not undocumented or illegal - just immigrants. I began to wonder if I'd ever hear from him.

The rest of the letter is just wasted ink about all the wonderful things he's done for NM, and his enormous contribution. It's nonsense, doesn't even relate to the issue.

I'll have to think about it for a day or so, and then shoot him another letter, again in opposition to amnesty, and that my only satisfaction will come when I see them marching SOUTH through my town on the way back to their country.

They're illegal, are breaking the law, and need to be deported - every one of them - and their children whether born here or not need to go with them. That born in country hook they use needs to be changed.

Chuck, I have received that same, almost exact wording,  letter from my state senators, John Cornyn and Kay B Hutchison (TX). And they always add that they will "keep my concerns in mind"while they deliberate the situation, blah blah, blah.

I guess they all have the same standard lie, oops, I mean answer. But I keep writing and emailing ,if nothing else, just to remind them that I am still here,  waiting for them to enforce our laws , I am not happy about the way this is being handled and I hold them responsible .

I think, if the Admin of this board agrees, that we ought to have a section where letters from our so-called representatives can be posted. That way, we can compare them.

I really believe they have one standard answer. Change a word here and there, and of course add the part about all the wonderful things they're doing for us.

Comparing replies would let us be able to confront them as well, and let them know we're on to their lies.

What we really need to do is get about 5 to 10 million people to fill every Senator & Congressmans e-mail, as well as the Presidents & Vice President. For about 2 months, everyday, non stop just keep flooding their e-mails, I mean everyday non stop. If that does not work, continue until it gets their attention. We must drown them with call, mail & e-mails. Just plain & simple "OVERLOAD" their sorry asses! Give them something else to do, like try to figure out how to outlaw us contacting them. Lets Piss them off. Make them pay attention.

my representative also answered me on the issue and said hes against open borders and is against illegal immigration....blah blah blah...lol. And he feels that we need to identify these workers so we will know who and where they are...duh.....nooooooo.....enforce the laws. I know they dont want to face the issue because they dont want to do their job. And theres too much money it is....and oil from Mexico and drugs to sell in Iraq.

I love the way these politicians use the word "comprehensive" when they really mean "amnesty". They're soooo clever trying to fool us and all!  Also, I love the way they have to think and think and debate and debate on just how to "reform" our immigration laws.  Uh---why not just enforce them???  Duh.

My favorite thing we did here in Los Angeles was to flood Mayor Villaraigosa's office with toilet brushes after he made the comment that "we (meaning Mexicans) clean your toilets"!  That did make the news.

lady Patriot......you have the same senators as I do and I know what you mean about their blah...blah....blah. But I am not detered...I e-mail them both constantly so much that the last letter I got from KBH, it was just a 3 liner telling me she would keep my views in mind. Cornyn doesn't even bother to respond anymore. I used to get the complimentary response e-mail.......guess he is tired of me as well.

Chuck58, I was raised in New Mexico. I used to love it there. It has gone so liberal and pro anybody but a caucasian. I got tired of it and got out. Now with richardson in there, it is getting worse. Ole manny arogon and all the other cronies make me sick. It was a beautiful state, but has turned extremely bias and discriminitory. I was a minority but had no access to any minority privilages. Couldn't even get an interview out at Sandia Labs, even with military background and clearences. richardson is as crooked as they get, so watch out for him. bingaman finally quit accepting any e-mails from me. I was on him. Heather just barely made it over madrid. good luck in the future and don't give up!!!!We need your sort of involvment. I migrated north and am on my congress woman weakly.

I ran into it both ways when we were in Albuquerque. There was discrimination against Anglos, and some Anglo discrimination against Hispanics. I caught some of the anti Anglo discrimination more than once growing up in Albuquerque. It isn't so prevalent any more, unless you live in certain areas of the South Valley.

We live in a tiny village of about 100 people now. There are 11 Anglos here. Nobody pays attention to race - unless you happen to be Indian. They aren't fond of the Jicarilla Apache here. And, they absolutely hate illegal aliens around here. 

The attitude is, we're Americans. I told the story in another thread about cinco de mayo, when one of the other 4 Anglo males in this village came up and offered a happy cinco de mayo to the other guys I was talking with, all Hispanic.

One asked, "What's that?"

The guy told him and the Hispanic guy said, "Why the hell would we celebrate THAT?"

In March 2005, the United States, Mexico, and Canada created the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), an agreement designed to develop common security strategies and to promote economic growth through information sharing.  In SPP founding documents, the initiative is described as "premised on our security and our economic prosperity being mutually reinforcing."  This Partnership was formed because all three nations "are bound by a shared belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions."

President George W. Bush, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and President Vicenté Fox most recently met in March 2006 to conduct the first annual SPP Leaders Summit.  The major issues discussed during the summit affect all three countries: border security, energy policies, and heightened cooperation regarding avian and pandemic influenza.  While some have claimed this Partnership closely resembles the European Union and will form a new system of government, it does not and will not do so.  I would never support an agreement that compromises the sovereignty of the United States of America or the principles on which this country was founded. 

No issue is more important to our nation than securing our borders and I hope that the SPP continues to identify additional security initiatives that will protect our country.  I realize border security is an integral part of national security.  And, truthfully, we have not devoted the funds, resources, or manpower required to fully enforce our immigration laws or protect our borders.  On July 13, 2006, the Senate unanimously passed the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2007 (H.R. 5441).  I supported this act because I believe it is the obligation of the federal government to adequately secure the nation's borders and prevent the flow of undocumented illegal persons into the United States.  I am confident that the funds appropriated in this legislation will bolster border patrol and local law enforcement agencies' ability to fulfill federal responsibility in this area.

So much BS!!

Talk about speaking out of both sides of his mouth. The SPP is all about open borders. It has nothing to do with restricting the flow of illegals.

I'm all for stopping them, by any means necessary and that includes mortal use of force. I also want the 20 odd million here gone, and neither my rep nor my senators will respond to it.

Hey everybody,I just looked at the bottom of the home page,and there is a piece there that says"Supreme Court never authorized the Fedral Income tax law".It has a video that I had never seen.If you watch it,it explains what is going on,and I believe,what will happen. If all of it is true,I have no solution as to what we can do to stop the one world government. I wasnt opposed to the Real ID Act until I watched this.It is a long one,but worth watching. Yes,Bush is the dictator,but he takes his orders from higher up! Just watching that video scares the h--- out of me!

I don't know whether the income tax bill was legally ratified or not. That we all voluntarily pay is presumptive proof that we accepted it. Once you do, you've basically agreed to abide by the law, legal or not, or that's as I understand it.

I've said in other threads, if we could get several million to withhold paying until congress begins working for the people, there isn't a thing they could do. We wouldn't be refusing, we would be withholding payment. All it would take is a few percent, several million, of taxpayers and Washington would be powerless to do a thing.

It's a dream, of course. The people are so fearful of the IRS that no matter what, gotta get that check to them in the mail.

Hey folks thanks so much for contacting your representatives.  We may not have the numbers on our side yet but they are growing.  I talked with several people this weekend who last year at this time didn't give much thought to the issue as they thought it was just Bush and the Corporate Republicans that wanted this amnesty.  Remember amnesty for illegals is also amensty for businesses as well and that is a huge $$$ issue as without amnesty it is feared in the business community that down the road illegals will be able to come back on them through a totalization agreement and force payment of FICA taxes. OUCH...  So, they thought with the Democrats winning back control of the Congress the joe-average would be protected.  LOL now they are scared for sure because one of them is a teamster and he is looking at losing his 60k job and he has no other skill and only a H.S. diploma.  The union ain't doing crap to stop this as they pushed to put the Democraps in power.  Talk about someone starting to feel used and abused.  There are more like him, many more. 

The problem is there is not a viable 3rd party at this time to keep the other two in check on an issue like this.  I have voted 3rd party before and I don't give a damn who wins I am not voting for a candidate who is moderate on the constitution and not America First All The Time.  So, right now I am Tancredo, Paul, maybe Gingrich or Thompson and then on to the Constitution Party.  No compromise candidate for me. 

Back to the matter at hand.  When you write your representative begin it in bold type

I DO NOT CARE IF YOU CONSIDER MY VIEWS WHEN ADDRESSING ----------- ISSUE. 

HOWEVER, I DO CARE THAT YOU CONSIDER THE CONSTITUTION, HOW AN ISSUE WILL AFFECT OUR COUNTRY AS A WHOLE AND IF YOUR DECISION HONORS THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE THAT EVER DIED FOR YOU, JESUS CHRIST AND THE AMERICAN SOLDIER.  AS LONG AS YOU DO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO EXPLAIN TO ME. 

SHOULD YOU NOT TAKE THIS APPROACH THEN I WILL LET OTHERS KNOW YOU ARE ANTI-AMERICAN, DON'T RESPECT THE CONSTITUTION AND WILL NOT HONOR THOSE WHO DESERVE TO BE. 

That being said below you will find my concerns regarding the issue.......

I can't say that it makes any difference but it damn sure gives me a lot of opportunity to demonstrate to others what a bunch of charlatons they have elected.  Besides it always helps me keep things in perspective before I send out a thank you (rare these days) or something not as cordial.
