House Speaker Nanci Pelosi is facing a revolt by as many as 50-75 Liberal Democrats that aren't happy on her handling of the bill proposed by Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) to limit President Bush's ability to increase the troop numbers in Iraq.

Rep. Murtha rewrote his bill to allow President Bush the ability to 'Waive' certain restrictions as long as he let Congress know why it was necessary. This change has caused a rift in Liberal Democrats who think the bill no longer goes far enough in ending the Iraq War.

More on the Story Here.

With respect to not only Pelosi, Murtha, Ried, and Kennedy, along with the like-minded ilk who insist on a date certain for withdrawing the nation's troops from Iraq and/or redeploying them to another front in the war on terror I want to continue to insist that any and all of their requirements for a withdrawal be tied to a date certain and well defined plan for withdrawal and redeployment of resources with respect to the War On Poverty.  That is a war that has utterly failed, cannot be won, has been lost for decades and is draining our nation's coffers to no effect.  Until that "war" is ended and until all those who serve in it are withdrawn there should be no peace whatsover with the inane political party which foisted it upon the American taxpayer and  continues to support it without any proof that it has a snowball's chance in hell of every succeeding.

Touché!

Authority without freedom is tyranny. Freedom without authority is anarchy. There must be a balance of freedom and authority.

The war on poverty and drugs were jokes to begin with. Now the ILLEGALS are adding to the poverty list big time and in the process dragging down the wages of what used to be the middle class in this country.
