Elitest vs. We The People

There is a huge disconnect between the elite of this country and the General Citizenry regarding Open Borders.

The elite believe that an Open Borders Policy is both economically and politically sound. Economically sound because it provides and endless supply of cheap labor  and politically sound because it provides and endless supply of voters that they can buy with social programs and cash stiffens.

 The General Citizenry believe that an Open Borders Policy is both economically and politically unsound. Economically unsound because it squeezes citizens out of jobs at the lower end of the pay scale and politically unsound because they are not represented in Washington by special interest groups.

 The elite think that they are being open minded and progressive in their thinking and that We The People are closed minded and bigoted.

The President and the elites continue to ignore the American People.  It appears as if our government lacks the fortitude to protect this nation from our enemies and threats.  A second 9/11 seems inevitable because our government is lame and we have no solid leadership.

A true leader would unite the American people, pardon those border agents, secure our border with Mexico (preferrably with the military), and earn the Peoples' respect back. Unfortunately, we are stuck with sold out politicians, corrupt officials, and our globalist, pandering President. 

I am fearful that our government is decaying from the inside out.  The U.S. Constitution is practically meaningless at this point.  The elite will get their way and destroy our once sovereign country doing it.

GS I think they will too, but I honestly dont feel it will end there. America went to sleep while she was sold into slavery, but she will rise up again stronger and a little smarter. It will happen when the people are actually ready. Maybe even after a few bombs, but she will get up. I refuse to beleive this is where it ends. The only fool is the one who gives up.

Bugsygirl- You're right. I am not one to give up. I also believe the American people will confront this evil and prevail. It's easy to feel so helpless and insignificant in the whole scheme of things. It's difficult to be optimistic when our own "leaders" have and are selling us out. The only comfort I get is to know there are people like you and I who give a damn. Thank you for your insight. GS

It astonishes me that we can secure the borders in Iraq now; However can not secure the borders here. In 1986 President Reagan signed an Amnesty bill and promised enforcement. It did not happen. This time we must demand secure borders and enforcement first. No Amnesty.

If we don't secure the borders now and put a stop this large bleeding artery we are doomed. Allowing illegals jobs and the establishment of a foot hold in our society will then open the door for them. With the vote given them as well you'll see more hispanics elected and the face of America will change much like what is taking place in our southwestern United States.

You will see more Mexican flags flown and issues benefiting hispanics will overtake issues benefiting grassroots Americans.  Just my two cents.

I too, do not believe that americans will not at least go down fighting!Our ancestors did not build this great country to see it given away to the scum of the world.The first ones to be taken down will be all of the other scum that sold this country out,our government!Support Tom Tancredo for president,he is the only one that has came out and said,Iam an american first,and I love my country!

I think people in various threads here are beginning to see what's going on.

It took me a while, but this whole thing from the invading illegals, to Bush's trip south, Congress's unwillingness to act on the problems, now inviting I guess all Central and South America in - it's all part of an agenda.

Congress, both sides of the aisles except for a handful, are all part of the plan  to take down this country. I never, ever in my wildest dreams ever imagined it would happen.

Kruschev said they'd bury us without firing a shot. Seems like Those People in DC, working hand in glove with the elite south of the border, took a page from Nikita's play book. Because the invasion isn't being talked about, most of the American sheep have completely forgotten about it, while the nation goes down the tubes without as much as a whimper.

Am I hearing wrong or are Congressmen and Senators allowed to carry firearms in the City of Washington D.C.. And god forbid a private citizen get caught with a firearm in Washington much less trying to carry one into the hallowed halls of congress. Just some more hypocritical crap out of OUR elected representatives, I must protect myself but you cannot.

wow blaze, we shouldnt be too surprised though. They bribe each other all day long up there with pork barrel garbage for votes and dont get arresting for bribes. Do you think you could get away with that. And they all do it...not just one party, its a congress thing. I think its a corrupt thing using our system for personal points with lobbyists.

Yep, I read somewhere, and naturally can't find the url, that Congresscreatures are allowed to carry firearms. Not their staff obviously, but the actual congresscreature can.  They aren't subjected to security checks.  Being the Superior Beings that they are, such things as security checks are beneath them.

It's only we uneducated, unwashed, inferior beings that have to go through things like checks at airports, or to get into the Capitol should we want to see our Government in inaction, or to visit one of the creatures that don't represent us. They simply show their pass and walk around.

Being able to carry a firearm is one of the perqs they give themselves, and that they want to take away from us.

Well, I may have to retract my last post regarding the beings carrying firearms. It seems they do have to get a license from the DC police according to another site I found. But, how tough would that be for one of them?

I'll keep looking occasionally. Right now, it's one yes they can, and one no they can't without a license. Consider, though, that it's almost impossible for a human being to own a handgun in DC, so they do have a privilege the serfs don't have.

That is the official posture, but they know that we know better. They are being greedy at our expense and they know that we are starting to understand their agenda.
