I have a good idea.  Everybody should buy land along the border and when those people trespass, you can shoot them! 

I oftened wondered why people there are not already doing that txshock. Those people have been complaining about them comming across their property and they are frightened.

Did you know that Tom Tancredo is part of the minute man project. I think I read somewhere that he is a founder. I also recently read that Pres Bush declared them vigilanties and illegal.

Tom Tancredo is not a founding member of the MMP or the MCDC.  The MMP is run or was run by Gilchrist after he split with Chris Simcox and several others.  The MCDC which is run by Chris Simcox is the one that is building the fence and patrols on the border. The MMP is mostly a lobbyist group and speak out against illegals thru Gilchrist. Both groups sometimes work together as individual people on projects such as protests.  MMP is the much smaller of the 2 groups.There are chapters of the MCDC all over the US and some groups are independant and not part of either group. The border watch groups started at least 4 years ago and didn't really have a name at the time but decided to call themselves minutemen.What is going on right now in the MMP is an internal issue and has nothing to do with any of the other Minutemen groups.The press justs lumps them altogether though and it has led to much confusion as to whom is building the fence and who patrols etc. Gilchrist gets the attention because he is the one for the most part out giving speeches and writing books. He hasn't been on the border in yeras.  hope this helps  avoid any confusion. MCDC members also particpate in many protests and rallies.

You got most of it right.  I'm with the Texas Minutemen which is an independant group.  Last September, we worked under Jim Gilcrest's MMP in Loredo.  I personally met Jim there and was with him in the city of Loredo when we officially kicked off the operation as he gave a speech to get things started.  Congressman Steve King was also there and gave a speech.  Though I haven't had any experience with Chris Simcox, Gilcrest is good at speeches and PR stuff.  He also spent some time out in the field with us grunts as well as in a meeting with the Border Patrol to let them know what we would be doing there.  We were close enough to the border to throw a rock accross.

Not a good idea. Here in AZ a rancher did just that, not killing only wounding. Guess what, the illegal sued and the ranch was awarded to him. The rancher used every dime to fight but as far as I know to know avail.

 

Thats really sick deb. Thats a story I hadnt heard. Things are so turned around in this country now. You cant even defend yourself and your own property anymore....thus sayeth the liberals. And the rest seem to just be helpless....I think they are helping them.
