Eva Albavera Viveros is a Mexican woman who, like many of her neighbors, lost her husband when he went to America looking for work. Eva and her friends in Tecalpulco established a cooperative and are working very hard to provide for themselves.

They produce fine jewelry and try to market it through the internet.

The reality is that our immigration policies are really destroying two countries, not just ours. Although it feels like all of the Mexicans have moved here, Mexico is being drained of its manpower, the people who should be helping to build and shape their own country.

Editor's note: Eva's closing words to me in her email were "Please CLOSE THE BORDER to Illegal Migration and send our men back to Mexico where we need them to help us with our jewelry production. We did not want them to go to the United States. They said they wouldn’t be gone so long, that they were going to get money and come right back, but they have been gone for a long time and we want to ask for your help in sending them back to their homes and families."

This is a situation that is so sad and that is mostly forgotten about or not even thought of.

Well, God bless all the wives.  What a piece of refreshing news.

I've always felt that their husbands were "sinning" against their families by leaving them -- just to make a buck -- children need BOTH their parents.  And now we find out that their industrious and creative wives have risen to the challenge.  Great.

Does anyone have Karl Rove's email address? He needs to read this website, as does Chertoff, Rice, Bush, Cheney, CFR, La Raza, etc., etc.

I agree, at least their wives have some courage.  Maybe if the men in Mexico had som damn courage they would stand up to scumbags like Vicente Fox and Calderon who pimp all the Mexican men out like two dollar sluts so they can work in America and send all their money back to them.  If they had any balls they would run to Mexico City and kill everyone in the Capitol building and start over.  But I guess thats something that American men with COURAGE would do.

I'm sorry for these wives, and they are great women and Mothers that are providing for their families. The men that leave them and their children are not real men in my book, as a real man will always stand by his wife and children where they need him the most - and that is at home.

If they were real men they would be trying to solve the problems with their corrupt government so that they could make a decent living at home.  Then they would not have to be over here breaking our laws and being admired for their law breaking by our king, GWB

I have always said that Mexico is a pressure cooker and we are the steam valve. If we close the border it will explode and after that Mexico will be a better place. They have so many resources,a great tourist trade, and a great climate for growing their own vegetables,If we seal the border we will stop the flow of drugs into this country as well.We would force that corrupt administration to our south to change or face civil war.Remember good fences make good neighbors.

I am all for sealing the boarders.

The question now is how? National Guard Soldiers? Army? Why don't we come up with some ideas for this instead of letting out Reps do this for us, 'cause I hate to say it but they are not doing such a good job these days.

Let's get together on this one and see what we can do....

Well from all I have been able to read we do have the right to defend ourselves from invason. Since the Government has failed us in this crisis, it is looking like we can do one of two things and that is either roll over and take it in the rear, or stand up and fight! I prefer to fight because we are right.

The government has ignored us from the start and I feel it is high time we target at least 3 polititians and make sure they get recalled. Take down 3 of them and the rest will see being "Wet back" friendly is political suicide. Call the I.N.S. or D.H.S. on employers who hire illegals and state these employers are aiding and abetting possible terrorists and drug dealers. Make the system work for us and hell for the leftists!

I'm all for sending the illegals south north or anyplace else they come from. The site name "wetbacks wives"  is an appropriate name but just wondering if the name was selected for shock value.

Any clues?

Eisenhower didn't think it was inappropriate when he rounded them up and sent them packing!  He said they were a danger to our culture.... He didn't want the companies using them for cheap labor and driving the American wage down... He even rounded them up on farms where they weren't suppose to be without a workers visa.  My father was Democrat, but loved Eisenhower!  Now I know why!  Tancredo may be "our" Eisenhower!  I'm Independent and intend to stay that way.  Although I'm not sure that it even matters anymore...  If the Republicans won't endorse Tancredo he should run on the Independent ticket.  I have a feeling he would be elected by a landslide!  He is a man that is on at least the antil-illegal alien side... I believe he is against the NAU too!  Check him out...

Eisenhower in today's society would be branded a white bigot, racist, superpremisist! That is awful but true. The ACLU and La Raza would try to impeach him. And do not let me forget the NACCP would try too!

Eisenhower was the President that coined the term Wetback. That is where, Operation Wetback started to round up the 80 million at the time (only that many) and deport them. He did it too. And the ones they did not catch were so afraid they ran back across the border so they would not get caught!

IMPORTANT!   Please read www.teamtancredo.com and read his Issues and the News.  Tom just gave a speech (in the news tab) on 3/2/07 at the annual convention of the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC). This is the guy we need in office and who will help lead America back to our beliefs and values.  It would take a lot of work via net working on the internet, writing letters, signing petitions, etc. but there are enough of us who are fed up and truly need a change in leadership for our country.  This guy cares and has been fighting for us for a long time however, most people are not aware of him and his fight for us.

Note: I am aware that some people may not believe in all of Tom Tancredo's beliefs such as anti-abortion.  My answer: There is no candidate who is going to meet 100% of what all of us believe.  As  individuals, we all think differently however, he is right on the money where our concerns are regarding Illegal Immigration an the lawlessness of our government who is destroying America as we know it.  It is up to us to choose wisely a person who best fits most of our needs. I have stated before, If America continues to allow the excessive flow of Immigration both Legal and Illegal most people who feel they need an abortion won't even be able to afford one as they continue to lose their jobs to cheap and Illegal labor; not to mention losing their health care. I just recently read: the government sets aside 1 billion dollars a yr. to cover the cost of Illegal's receiving health care in America's ER's .   Also, is anyone aware of the mess in New Orlean's? The hospitals are being inundated with Illegal births from all the Illegal families who have migrated there for work. I viewed & read that there are hospitals where 85% of births are from Illegals and the hospitals are not allowed to close there doors.   Read & Support www.teamtancredo.com if you agree please!

Here goes;

1. Round up and deport all ILLEAGLE immigrants. I'll fund a days lease on a bus!!

2. Bring our troops home!!! It's assinine to believe the Iraqi people will ever stand up for their freedom as long as we're doing the bleeding for them!!!

3. After about 90 days R&R, re-deploy our troops along our southern border. They can do more to secure our country there than they can ever do in Iraq!!

4. DRY UP THE PUBLIC TEAT!!!! Throw the deadbeats off welfare and food stamps! When faced with the choice of working or starving, there will be an ABUNDANCE of people to do "the jobs Americans don't want to do"!!

Well Mapricenc, you will need more then one day bus just for the state of Texas, but I love your ideas on using US Troops to guard the borders and definitely the idea of "drying up the teat" and I would go one further and say no legal Immigration, no medical treatment of any kind what so ever. As for the Iraqi's - believe me I am here in iraq right now and these people don't want peace and it doesn't matter who's blood is being spilt. They have been fighting for 2000 years or more and 4 years or 24 years of US presence isn't going to change that kind of hatred.

I was just saying I would be willing to lease a bus for a day out of my own pocket. I'm sure most of the other 10,000+ folks on this site would be willing to do likewise!! As far as the security of Baghdad, WHO CARES!!! If those people melted thier weapons into cooking utensils tomorrow and threw a giant PICNIC for each other, my life wouldn't change a bit!!! I will even go so far as to question the constitutionality of our forces being there in the first place!! Understand, as a old paratrooper I'm not questioning the resolve or patriotism of my young brothers and sisters in uniform. I DO question the government's right to put them in the situation they are currently in! As for the addage "it's better to fight them there than fight them here", they are here now....living among us....and we WILL eventually have to fight them here!!! It's simply inevitable....

SouthernCross, I see in you're avatar pic you're wearing an Army T. You also mentioned you're currently in Iraq so reasoning tells me you're a soldier. I'm DAMN PROUD of each and every one of you guys!!!! Keep your head down and your buddies covered and hopefully the madness will end soon!!!

As an old member of the 101st Airborne, 1st 501 Inf Bn, I give my thanks to those who are serving .

Now I agree we need to square away Iraq A.S.A.P., then go home and secure our own damned borders. I am sick and tired of the idiots on the left telling us, "Illegals are doing the jobs we won't do", that is a crock and a stinky one too! I am sick of city Councils claiming to be "refuge centers for illegals". They have committed  sedition and since we are at "WAR", I am surprised the president hasn't sent federal marshals to arrest the mayors and city councils of those cities.  I know Bush is all about "open borders", he and his idea of a "North American Union" can take a hike straight to Tartarus.

We need to get the idea borders are to be respected, law breakers should go to jail, illegals need to be deported and we need to define the 14th amendment of the constitution to clearly define who is a citizen and who isn't! The 14th gave legal status as citizens to freed slaves, no where in it does it say if you are an illegal and you drop a kid on our soil makes it a citizen. That was pushed by the A.C.L.U. and other anti-American groups.
