Americans,

As one patriot to others, I want to inform you of an upcoming event and ask your assistance in spreading the word.

An organization of Vietnam veterans and supporters is gathering March 17th to protect the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial and show their support for U.S. troops.  These folks are calling themselves the "Gathering of Eagles."  This effort by these folks is to protect the Memorial from being defaced by the group that is planning to gather and march on the Capitol in protest of the conflict in Iraq.

Here's their web site

and a couple others with useful information

Thank for your time folks and keep up the good fight for America!

Unfortunately our finances don't fit any kind of travel right now, but I'll point out your "Gathering" to everyone I know.

I have a brother, who served, training troops during Viet Nam. He may be interested or in touch with others!

God be with your mission!  He alone can keep this nation from doing a "Groundhog Day", but this web site, seems to be one of his tools.

My first post to this forum.  I was not old enough to go to Vietnam, but had I been, I would have gone there and not to Canada.  My father and several men from our church took me to a march on Washington in support of our troops. I was taught patriotism and a love for this great country from an early age.  What some are calling patriotism today is disguised communism.  A hatred for America and venom against our soldiers is what it is, it is NOT patriotism.  Those who bristle about having their patriotism questioned, often have no patriotism to BE questioned.  Sheehan, Fonda and all the leftover hippies have gone too far when they target the Vietnam wall as their starting point for their protest.  I've been there 3 times now and have been moved to tears every time.  My 4th visit will be to stand guard with the Vietnam vets and say by my presence, you will not deface this sacred wall.
