Obama says deceased Iraq soldiers "Wasted"

Yesterday Barak Obama, campaigning in Iowa, said the lives of our deceased soldiers in Iraq are "wasted." Later he quickly retracted that statement and I expect the lib media to give him free pass. But the facts are, that statement is consistent with his other comments on the war. He called the war a "tragic mistake a few days ago and says it "should have never been waged."

From the Des Moines Register:

Obama touched on a range of issues and was scathingly critical of the
Iraq war. He continued to emphasize that he was against the war from
the beginning of his political career as an Illinois state senator.

"We
ended up launching a war that should have never been authorized, and
should have never been waged, and on which we've now spent $400
billion, and have seen over 3,000 lives of the bravest young Americans
wasted."

My son is part of the 3rd ID scheduled to deploy in Sept. Heaven forbid if something should happen to him, I would hope he would be remember for his sacrifice not as a waste.

Obama has put his foot in his mouth several times and everytime the main stream news media are there to take it out, clean it off and remind the views that "he apologized, that should be enough" (Alan Combs)

Obama just started and he is already out for me.

Your thoughts and prayers for all those that serve are deeply appreciated.

You know, I have listened to remarks made by Kerry, the liberals, Obama, Arkin, and those doing their political posturing to get votes. I have heard some say, the men & women that joined the military especially during war time only did it for the bonus not because they were patriots.

I paid cash for my son to go to college out of state for 2 1/2 yrs. The day he told me he decided to join, I was devistated. We talked for a long time as I was trying to understand why he would want to join especially when we were at war and he said" Mom, I still haven't forgotten 9-11, I'm not sure who was responsible for it but it was an act of terror. Our government has determined Sadamm was somehow responsible and as an American it is my duty to serve. Mom...someone has to do it and I am no better than anyone else."

Crushed...you bet....Against it...you bet....but do I support him...you bet.

I truly understood why Mr Bush did what he did after 9/11 and I supported him 100% after it was OUR country that was bombed. I also know that a war doesn't end overnight. I for one am scared to death to think that possibly WE ALL could at one time or another be living like those poor souls over there. Being bombed EVERY MINUTE OF EVERYDAY, afraid to go outside, afraid to go to work for fear of being killed, kidnapped, raped, bombed, tortured for what? In the name of ISLAM?

Whether anyone wants to belive it or not this is a SPIRITUAL WAR they are fighting over there. It is not going to get any better either. It is going to get only worse.

Also believe this country is in the cross hares of any kind of weapon that is out there known to man and those terrorists are making some we don't even know about or could even comprehend could even exist.

This country is in big time trouble and because Siddam was executed does not mean that the terrorists are going to give up anytime soon. It won't happen.

I know there are those who will not agree to this and that is ok as everyone has a right to their own opinion. I have one question for those who will not agree---If you know so much about the government and have studied and searched these facts over the years to acquire this knowledge why can't you all study the Bible in the same way and PROVE GOD right or wrong? Because we have all been deceived and lied to----GOD CAN NOT LIE and when HE says something will happen it WILL and when HE promises something HE KEEPS HIS PROMISES.

God bless America and ONE NATION UNDER GOD---I pray for that everyday and that this sanctimonious government will open their eyes to the truth, especially those who claim to be Christian.

GOD says---EVERY KNEE WILL BOW and EVERY TONGUE WILL CONFESS that I am GOD. To me every means just that EVERY. Think about that for a moment. That means everyone from the beginning of time to generations past us will one day stand in front of GOD. WHAT WILL WE HAVE TO SAY THEN?

One more thing---Every soldier that dies in war is NEVER a waste. If that soldier believes what is there for and trying to protect his/her country, family for their freedoms, they will never be a waste.

I will never vote for Obama. I don't like anyone who is starting to campaign right now. So, now what?

Everyone,the waters are being tested early!Politicians are seeing if they need to swing left or right!!Don't be surprised to hear more outrageous statements from both sides.These statements while very offensive, get attention.It does not matter if it is good attention or bad.As we creep toward the election in 2008(that is a long,long,long time from now)The waters and wind will be tested and if we let the politicians get away with remarks or shoddy leadership,shame on us!

Gail M, I want to say how much respect I have for your sacrifice in the war against terrorism. You must be proud to have such a patriotic son. I just wish the Demo-Commies did not have a vested interest in this country's defeat as illustrated by one of the party's leading candidate by saying that all of the soldiers’ deaths were a waste. You and all the military's soldiers and family have been in my prayers since this all started.

I had someone say to me "well they had a choice so I don't feel bad for them" My response.........."isn't it a good thing for you they did because without enough volunteers, you sir, would be getting the ""Uncle Sam Wants you"" letter."

 

 

He had a choice alright, and he made a noble choice you should be proud of him. It's too bad that there are people that  just don't get it.
