the problem is that an armed American public is a big stumbling block for our One World Government Politicians and their plans for a One World Government. With the NAU on the fast track you can expect that Taking your guns away is high on their priority list. people need to educate themselves
Amen Brother. Get involved. Too many Gun Owners do not, thus taking their 2nd Amendment Rights for granted, making it easy for the Gubbamint to trample those rights. There are something like 20,000 firearms laws on the books across this country, with most amounting to a clear INFRINGEMENT of the 2nd Amendment. If this seems a bit too much to take on the Feds in a Showdown over the US Constitution, read your own State's Constitution. Many have even clearer statements defining your rights to keep and bear arms. EX: I live in Ohio. Here is what the Ohio Constitution says: " The people have the right to bear arms for their defense and security; but standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, and shall not be kept up; and the military shall be in strict subordination to the civil power." Pretty clear,no? Here is a link where you can research YOUR rights in YOUR State: http://www.law.cornell.edu/statutes.html
You are apparently well educated on the second amendment, how about checking out and educating yourself on the CFR (council on foreign relation) and the Trilateral Group and pass that on as well as the 2nd amendment stuff. It is just as important. The NAU is on it's way and that means they need us unarmed. So just take a look at it and make your own decission. If you need some links i can provide some.
it should be blinding your radar screen. There are at one time as many as 3200 members of the CFR. These people are prominent politicians, Bill Clinton, Dick Cheyney, Donald Rumsfelt, Henry Kissinger, Jimmy Carter, John Kerry And on and on and on. Then there are the corporate leaders and owners. ...George Soros, Rupert Murdoc, etc. etc . etc. and then there are the media people that can cover their dirty deeds with the public....Barbara Walters, Walter Cronkite, Tom Borkaw, The late Peter Jennings, Paula Zahn, On and on and on and on... what these people have in come and what their agenda is... One World Government.... They want open borders... they want an Unarmed population,, they Want tha NAU (look it up) and most of all they are all One Worlders
Do they really want a civil war in every city and in every state of the U.S.?That`s what will happen if they try to make that happen. They don`t remember the alamo.
Not so funny how my 1863 built home has a hidden 4 gun rack (built back then) in the wall. Times have not changed much it seems.
"The right to bear arms is essential to freedom. For it is the policy of governments to disarm the people, that they may have the opportunity to oppress them."--Robert Emmett Bledsoe Baylor, 1845

that may be the idea of gun control that you and I are all about but their Idea of gun control is that we should not have the right to own any gun and they will be pushing that agenda hard in the next couple of years because the NAU is coming and coming soon and they don't want an armed rebellion on their hands when the American people se what these people have done to them
They will never get my guns from me without a fight. We must remember however if you live in a place that has draconian laws keeping you from defending yourself, i.e. Washington DC then expect to be treated as a criminal if you have a gun found on you. It is far and away a breach of the US Constitution and I find it so strange that my oath of office clearly states I must protect the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. I do not advocate open rebellion at any point but will choose my fights well and aim small miss small.
Hello everybody! I didn't see a meet and greet forum so I just jumped in.
Protecting the 2nd Amendment is the most important goal we can have. It is what keeps us free.
I've had a carry permit for seven years and I'm a member of the NRA and SAS. I promote gun ownership everywhere I go, even at work. The majority of people I work with are permit holders and more are getting them all the time.
I'm fortunate to live in a fairly gun friendly state but there are still issues I would like to see changed. I would like to see a law passed to force companies to allow permit holders to keep their handgun locked in their vehicle during work hours. My company has a no gun policy in their handbook but it is not posted at any entrances. I live 20 miles from work and must go in at odd hours, such as 3:00am. I drive I-75 and feel very vulnerable without my gun in the truck. I'm not concerned about the time I'm at work but the time spent driving alone worries me.
You spoke of civil war? Just let them try going house to house in rural Tennessee to take guns.

Hi again all. Seems like the only problem I see with this forum is that I'm preaching to the choir,so to speak!
I'll get off my soapbox for now.
Not to hijack the thread, but Melinda from Tenn did mention not seeing a meet and greet forum. Since this thread seems to be like minded individuals, it seems as good a place as any to volunteer a bit of my personal info as well.
I live in Ohio on 9 acres, where I'm an avid shooter of both firearms and archery. I used to seriously compete in archery, taking the Bronze for my class,in the NFAA Nationals, many moons ago.
Also a tinkerer and automobile enthusiast. Latest project completed is a 12KW, trailer mounted 52hp diesel genset. Powered the whole house in a 3 day test, no problem. Kind of interested in self sufficentcy around here.
One of you PM'd me about the AK 47 in my signature. That's my most recent firearm purchase. It was built for me by JD Tactical. It's a Yugoslavian Underfolder in .223 cal., featuring a DC Industries reciever,1:7 twist US made barrel,Tapco trigger set, tritium night sights, adjustable gas port,US made pistol grip, threaded flash hider,2-30 round mags, (I bought 4 more from Ohio Rapid Fire),plus a red laser. It's finished in Black "GunKote", baked on, with Birchwood Casey Tru Oil on hand selected, AK furniture. A real hoot to shoot. Dependability of an AK-47 with the firepower and ammo availability of an AR-15. We have a few Coyotes trolling about, and I'm planning on projecting the red dot on them real soon.Already made at least 10 one shot kills on ground hogs with it. Picked up some Mil Surplus (NATO) AP rounds for SHTF or TEOTWAWKI.
I'm considering ponying up the $200 tax to the Gubbamint so I can add a suppressor, just for giggles.
Out of other toys I have, I really like my 1972 vintage german made (in Ulm) Walther PPKS in 380 ACP (9mm Kurz). (Not junk like the Interarms stuff. No "Walther Bite" marks.) It's like: I point it, it hits it......I swear I don't even aim! Some kind of German magic in that thing. James Bond's ghost perhaps? I dunno, but I love it.
Anyhow....I think I'm going to like it around here. I look foreward to interacting with with more of you. Spread the word and keep fighting the good fight.

Patriot I wish you would have been here to "project a red dot" onto the coyote that almost ate my daughter's Pomeranian! Only thing is, you would have been arrested here in LA county, CA.

Welcome Patriot! I filled out a feedback form under community asking for a meet and greet forum so we'll see. If several of us do that we might get one.
I live in S.E. Tennessee between Knoxville and Chattanooga. I'm 52 years old and have been in love with firearms since I received my first .22 rifle when I was 12.
I have two carry guns, a .357 Magnum snubnose revolver and a .380 semi-auto. I also have several long guns including a .22 Magnum and an Overland Stage side-by-side double-barrel with 21" barrels. My other shotgun is a very old Mossburg that my grandfather gave me. It's an old bolt action with a clip. It's not worth anything but I would like to restore the stock someday. My husband traded a shotgun for a Springfield XD .45 the other day and I'm trying to talk him out of it. LOL
I am very much pro 2nd Amendment. I'm a member of Free Republic and other conservative organizations including as I said, the NRA and SAS (Second Amendment Sisters).
Keep recruiting!

About all you can do is "Vote with your Feet" and come back to the "Land of the Free".
Sorry to hear of your Coyote incident. Pets truly are a part of the family.
BTW.... a good hunting compound bow, or a crossbow, kills silently at a considerable distance.
Zen is a well placed shot.
