What scares me is that our other Officer’s are going to be laid back now because they don’t want to go to jail for upholding the law. I can’t understand why our government has their head in the sand. If they don’t pull their head out of the sand and look around and see what we are dealing with our Great Country is not going to be so great anymore. I worked for the Sheriff’s Office in Junction Texas for a couple of years and my short stay with them taught me so much. I never knew what Officer’s went through until I worked at the Sheriff’s Office and seen it for myself. You can hear the negative side of Officer’s more than the positive side. I’ve seen them do their job and than I’ve seen their hard work not pay off. I’ve seen the physical abuse and verbal abuse Officer's have to put up with. I for one could never be an Officer because I couldn’t put up with what they have to deal with on daily basis. Then when something like this happens and Officer's are put in jail for protecting us, well it just makes my skin crawl. I think our government officials need to go and work the border, our cities and our Highways with our Officers and see if this doesn’t open their eyes to what our Officers are dealing with. Maybe then they could see what a problem we have. Our Officers are to be admired not punished for upholding the law and protecting us.

Linnie, what gets me is that Sutton says we can't have these border patrol officers breaking the law. They have no problem letting the illegals break the law! This is hypocrisy at it's most Orwellian.

We need to keep badgering the White House and Congress on this issue. I send about 5 angry emails a day. And I plan on stepping it up.

Joyce I'm doing what you are doing. I've been sending my email to goverment, friends and family.  I'm trying so hard to get people to pay attention.  I hope it's not to late when they do.

Yes, Linnie, Sutton the Fed. DA.  I heard an intervew with him (Fed DA's rarely talk about their cases) and he talked about how they were prosecuted because they broke the law.  Give me a BREAK!  This whole administration turns a blind eye to lawbreaking every day when they refuse to enforce our immigration laws. They are very selective about what laws they like.

Maybe I can stop paying my taxes.  I don't like THAT law. See how long I get away with that.  They will put a stop to THAT in a NY minute.

Linnie try to get them to listen to local talk radio where they discuss these issues every day and that is where all the facts are learned.  Certainly won't find them in that rag, the NYSlimes.

Joyce have you ever watched Glenn Beck?  He's another one that really puts it out there just the way it is.  He's not left, right or in the middle.  He just reports the facts.  Some of his facts will scare the crap out of.

Linnie, I'm not only concerned about the message this sends to Border Agents....I'm concerned about the message it sends to the Criminal Illegals lurking out there.

The President expressed qualms about a pardon for Agents Ramos, and Compean,  nullifying a Jury verdict......That doesn't hold water.  Every time a a President pardons someone, he is nullifying a decision handed down from a Court of Law.

Your right slvblond

I think if it was the President sitting in jail for doing his job, he would want someone to get on the ball and make it right.  I feel so sorry for these men and their families.  Just not right.

Linnie57 - One thing Bush will never have to worry about is sitting for DOING his job.....it's been 6 years & he hasn't started yet....he must be waiting on someone to explain what upholding the constitution means...

Linnie, the President isn't looking at illegal immigration as a 'National Security'issue.   And in a post 9/11 world, we can't  ignore our National Security.  I don't care about the stability of the Mexican Government.  They've had as long as we have, to form an equitable Democracy.....A Society, and a form of Government, that depends on money sent 'home' from illegals in this country, as it's second economy resource...is doomed, anyway.

The Mexican Government issues a 'comic book' type pamphlet, that tells potential illegal aliens how to enter this country illegally.  One would hope the Government of Mexico would be seeking to right the wrongs of the past, in regard to improvement of living standards and employment opportunities, and equitable treatment for all  Mexican peoples,  instead of encouraging their people to enter our country illegally

The problem is, not only Hispanics are using our southern border as an illegal entry into our country....Drug dealers, rapists, Murderers, mentally handicapped, those carrying diseases, long eradicated here...and worse......potential terrorists, threats to thousands of Americans, are crossing into our country as we discuss this.

Shakes head!  These agents aren't the problem....It's about time everyone realized this...Even our distracted President, and our noodle kneed Senators.

Amnesty is a joke!  it's been tried twice, already(in the sixties, and again in the eighties), with disasterous results....Illegal immigration only increased.  The only answer is  inforcing immigration laws...already in place ...Go after Employers who knowingly employ illegals,(stringently).  Increase the number of Border Agents, and see that they are armed at least as well as those Criminals breaching our borders....and Build the fence ....and see that it is maintained.

She steps off the soap box!

What is wrong with our Texas Jury's

Our Texas Jury's are going to make our Officer's scared to do their job.

With our Officer's being convicted for doing their job, I wouldn't blame them. I wish they would put out these jury's name that convicts these Officer's so they could get some feed back or e-mail's from US Citizens that find this to be outrageous.

This is the Rocksprings deputy

Texas Town Rallies Behind Jailed Deputy

The deputy is convicted of violating the civil rights of an undocumented immigrant.

I was watching Fox News today and they had a man on the show that was telling how many U S Citizens have been killed by Illegals since 9-11.  He got his numbers from the FBI and Local Law Enforcements from all over the United States.  They also had a woman on the show that is head of "Mothers Against Illegals".  She had a child killed by an Illegal and so have a lot of other families.  They are trying their level best to show our Government and Citizens what is in our (and our children/grandchildren's) future.  Not going to get into details since I'm sure everyone knows the problem.  However, I am going to show you some numbers.  Remember these numbers came from the FBI and Local Law Enforcements.

Since 9-11

48,000 United States Citizens have been killed by Illegals (this includes men, women and children)

Average killings by Illegals - 25 to 35 Americans are killed each DAY.

There are far more people dying here in the USA from Illegals than there are people dying in the Iraq War.

The numbers will continue to rise if US Citizens don't do something about it.  Congress apparently is not going to, so looks like we need to get their attention

San Antonio Express, November 7, 2006

After chasing a tractor-trailer rig a short distance in McAllen Monday night, police and ICE agents locked down one of the busiest malls in the United States when a wanted man escaped on foot. Agents seized more than 1,200 lbs of cocaine from the rig after its driver fled a traffic stop and cut across the parking lot of La Plaza Mall.

KGBT TV 4, Harlingen/Rio Grande Valley, November 7, 2006

US Customs and Border Protection have rescued 8 illegal immigrants from the trunks of cars in Brooks and Hidalgo Counties over the past few days.

KGBT 4 –TV, Harlingen/Rio Grande Valley, Nov. 6, 2006

Special Report: Youth Violence on the Rise in the Valley

Crime statistics are out and there’s a disturbing new trend, youth violence is up. Numbers show parts of the Valley lead the nation in the number of juvenile arrests and the offenders are getting younger. There are many theories as to why more kids are becoming criminals. It could be more access to drugs and guns or the prevalence of gangs in the area.

*San Antonio Express-News, January 31, 2007 Monterrey, Mexico *? A wave of daylight police killings and other drug gang executions have prompted U.S. authorities to caution visitors to this country?s leading northern city. "Visitors are urged to remain vigilant" while in Monterrey, said a report by the Overseas Security Advisory Council, an advisory body involving U.S. business interests abroad and the U.S. State Department.

The annual report isn?t an official government travel advisory but it marks the first time U.S. officials have publicly singled out Monterrey, the capital of the border state of Nuevo Leon, because of escalating drug violence. "We are concerned about the increasing security problems in the Monterrey area," the public affairs officer for the U.S.

Consulate General in Monterrey said.

*KWTX Channel 10 TV News*?*January 31, 2007 Iraqi Family Detained on Texas Border *Customs officials in South Texas say an Iraqi family was caught within miles of the Rio Grande after crossing the border illegally. The family of five was detained Saturday night near U.S.

Highway 281 in Pharr. A Border Patrol spokesman say computer searches revealed no ties to terrorism. The family remains in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody while being processed for deportation.

*El Paso Times, January 31, 2007 Promise of Easy Money Lures Truckers to Smuggling *Tractor-trailers continue to be a preferred way of smuggling migrants, at a great cost to truckers who get tempted by the promise of easy money, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said.

Last weekend, agents arrested three truckers who worked for at least two different smuggling rings and who now face up to five years in prison.

One, who is not a U.S. citizen, will probably lose his green card. All will lose their rigs, which were seized by the government. One truck belonged to an unnamed trucking company, and the two others belonged to the truckers themselves.

*Laredo Morning Times, January 31, 2007 *A federal jury in Laredo has convicted two men, connected to a prominent Mexican drug cartel, on kidnapping charges. Monday morning the jury came back with a verdict for the two Mexican nationals living in Laredo, after a week long trial.

Both could receive sentences of life in prison. According to testimony, the subjects held a U.S. citizen, who had lost a 650-pound load of marijuana in Houston, against his will at a home in Mexico until his family paid a ransom for the lost drugs

I was told by a friend of mine -Linnie, if I didn't know better, I would think our leaders are attempting to destroy the United States and everything it stands for as fast as they can. Looking at it the other way, if I wanted to destroy the US, I would do exactly what they are doing right now, turning my head to a massive southern invasion of armed and dangerous criminals and jailing anyone who tries to stop them!

Think about it, this IS what they are doing.

On Fox News it was reported a Sheriff in California decided to check what percentage of his inmates were illegal aliens. The Sheriff spot checked 15 percent of his current inmate population and a FULL 75 PERCENT WERE ILLEGAL ALIENS in his JAIL! What is it going to take? Our local LEOs, especially along the border, are trying to incarcerate those people committing crimes in the US, but it seems (at least from the News I listen to) the Feds are not helping with the funding and now telling local Law Enforcement they have to stay out of the Illegal Alien/Border Patrol business! Fox News also reported a convicted illegal alien child molester who was convicted to thirty

years for his crimes, may now go back to Mexico where he will do no time! More Insane Federal Intervention. The key word here folks is "ILLEGAL aliens", not legal immigrants. They are criminals BEFORE they commit other crimes. Fox reports many illegals are arrested six or more times!

What is it going to take? When will we speak up against the insanity our Federal Government is imposing on local Law Enforment Officials? Do we need to wait for a

home invasion, car jacking, robbery, rape, burglary or other crime to hit us in the face before we make our feelings known to our leaders they MUST DEAL with ILLEGALS who are a major criminal problem? If we don't speak up, it WILL happen to YOU or someone you love, sooner or later.

Entering the United States ILLEGALLY is a CRIME. And these illegal criminal types are growing at the rate of 500,000 a YEAR, according to Fox News.  We WILL feel their PAIN. Just a matter of time, but it may be too late then. Two times US Presidents have in the past removed illegal aliens from the United States. It is now time to do it a third time. The link below will give those who care the details of how it was done.  I for one, will make no more excuses for the inactions of Mr. Bush on this critical issue.   When something bad happens to you, and stats say it will, remember, you had a chance to speak up. Fire Society sounds like a relly good place to start. If we don't do something, we all deserve what will become of the United States.  Lets just hope we can get others to pay attention and join up.

What's it going to take???? It's going to take people doing more than talking!!! Our founding fathers didn't win our independance from Great Britian by talking!! After they won that independance, they then put provisions in place in the constitution to allow the people to keep the government in check. WE HAVE FAILED!!!! Regardless of what you may believe, we no longer have any representation in Washington. If we did, these agents would have never went to trial in the first place! We have to come to realization that taking our Republic back will probably take more than words.....
