I called Senator Harry Reid and  Senator John Ensign.

Senator Ensign's Washington DC office was wonderful and was happy that I called to express my opinion. They said to expect a letter from Senator Ensign.

 

Senator Reid's Las Vegas office was polite,  however you could tell they were not happy with my opinion. I had to ask to have Senator Reid respond in writing.

 

I was very polite and professional on my telephone calls. I really wanted to say, "What the H-ll are they thinking? Especially to add it to a bill to aid our Troops. What a slap in the face that would be to them!"  But I didn't. (Maybe I should have???)

 

Thank you for letting us know about this horrible act that Feinstein is pulling.

All these people are doing is turning us into a third world country because big business wants cheap labor. McCain is for this, clinton and Obama are no different. I don`t know what it is going to take to put a stop to this. We do not seem to have anyone with any good sense or intestinal fortitude in our government who will do the right thing.

I have thought it over....living here in California under Boxer-Feinstein.....i am thinking maybe Hamas and Iran have a point to the discussion....

Oh,great,the hypocrite feinstein is at it again. She hates guns,

too,but most of the world doesn't know that she is one of the

few holders of a carry permit in san francisco.It's OK for her to

defend herself,but to hell with the rest of Us.

Likewise with the illegals,what does she care,she will live on,

the rich never worry about the poor,never care for the Citizens

of their Own Country,just their bottom line.

In the dems case,as well as McCain's,as long as they can make themselves

feel good,I guess.

The illegals MUST be sent back,it is the only economically logical

decision that can be made.

The rich politician's comfort is Our misery,and I pray McCain gets

the message.

I faxed mine earlier this evening! They are determined to go against the will of the people!! Sometimes, I think a lot of our politicians should be recalled. This is taxation without representation so many times, and a lot of us are so frustrated with it. They don't listen to what we say!!!! They have their own agenda. I wonder how many of them have illegal aliens in their employ? I suspect a number of them do!!Frown

I agree, they soon will have us with the same status as a third world country, and what are their motives behind this?? You're absolutely right, at least in part, Jerry and Sharon!!

Bush is apparently still working with Mexico and Canada to relinquish our sovereignty, and remove all the borders making us all one country rather than three. They, Bush, the president of Mexico, and the prime minister of Canada, met again in New Orleans, within the last week or so. Then their plan is we'll all use the same currency. Also, I hear there will be a super highway from Mexico to Kansas City, so the trucks from Mexico won't even have to stop at the border, but just truck in on through without even so much as an inspection to see what they're carrying. If this doesn't frighten everyone at least some, it should!!!!

I personally know of one of Feinsteins farmer friends whose daughter testified before Congress who employs an illegal alien maid....and illegal alien gardeners....and in her family business employ lots of illegal alien workers. this family was also busted several years ago by the feds for paying slave wages and making their illegals camp on state land because they could not afford housing on their wages. this same family stole the land from Japanese internments for back taxes....also imprisoned by a Democratic President...F.D.R.....makes one proud to be an American doesn't it

Timray, read my last post, just above yours. It's terrible, but I guess our country is being run by a bunch of law breakers/criminals if you will, and they want to pass laws to legalize what they've been doing. They've been in a position to get away with it. I'll tell you, I don't have any more answers, but we need to be trying something else. I'm proud to be an American. I understand what you're saying, but it isn't our great countries fault. It's those in our government!!

Blockhead I agree! THE ILLEGALS MUST GO HOME!!!! Many will go home on their own, if they have no employment here.

They recently had the Govenor of Texas on radio here in San Diego on the Roger Hedgecock show(on Saturday nationally 9AM Pacific Time) and he was asked about the super hiway....he danced around the subject saying Texas would never allow it but stated that trade with Mexico was good.....and there you have your answer....the hiway is good business....well i am out of here, pray for us in California, we suffer from Boxer-Feinstein terror

Well, they know they're pulling a fast one on the American people, Timray. Oh yes, I would say CA needs prayer for sure!!! I wonder if that gay marriage is going to become legal without anyone ruling against it? What about your governor, S. I heard he had put a stop to it before. I hope he does again!! What an abomination!! I'll put you all on my prayer list Timray, and we all really need to be praying for our country while we still have one. After Bush gets done relinquishing our sovereignty, we may not even be a third world country!! Who would have ever thought it would come to this???

I have been emailing Senator Feinstein in several issues since last year. We're in deep "Bandini" as far as the immigration issue goes. We have a bunch of bleeding hearts in Sacramento who are trying to force their  European liberal down our throats. Our governor has drank too much of the "Kool Aid" lacks deep convictions in what he really believes and is only reactionary on vital issues. Then we have a lame duck president that has always been pro-open borders. So what do we do to save our country from becoming a dumping ground for all the poverty in the world, specially Mexico. Just last week a new speaker of the the house in Sacramento was sworn in. We all know where she comes from, a former activist? In Washington, most politicians are only interested in saving their political derriers. We have to purge all those liberals through the political process and keep reminding them that we're not going to go away.

Honest and Logical Border Reform

A possible solution to illegal worker immigration?
If we wish to identify the "undocumented workers"  here, and still need foreign workers, I have a suggestion that would work over a two year period.
 
First, we build the wall on both borders. Every 45 miles, we have a workers welcome center, with a Mexican government center on one side, so the immigrants work papers are in order, and an American super computer on the other side to create a biometric (eyescan and blood sample) id for the workers. They are then welcomed to America to work.
 
Now they can get insurance and drivers licenses legally, so now we know were they live. Of course, the Drivers License must differ in regard to the workers visa, so it could not be used to apply for a voters registration card, or other services denied non-citizens. 

The Mexican government, with a 5% tax on the American money crossing back into Mexico, could purchase a blanket "pool" type insurance policy to cover its citizens auto and health policies.

Any illegal currently here with their family would have to go to the other side of the fence and come back through. If the immigrant has been here illegally and has family in America, there is a 1000 dollar fine, 200 to be paid immediately, 800 to be suspended and paid at a rate of 200 dollars a year. If the immigrant learns English and assimilates into American society, however much is owed at that point is suspended indefinitely.
 
When the immigrant with a family here applies at the border, he just tells the official how many family members and their names, bringing whatever papers he may have, and is given vouchers for them. When he returns to his family, he brings each of them, with 200 dollars, to the local police, where they are fingerprinted and given IDs and welcomed from the shadows.
 
They have two years to do this, (and then 200 per year until the 1000 is paid), so if they have a large family, they can spread out the monetary fines. Total assimilation suspends the fines.
 
Any violent crimes, including drunk driving or gang involvement, would be grounds for deportation on this workers visa. This means the original charge. There will be no plea bargaining for people with these visas.
No person that had been here illegally prior to these visas will ever be a citizen. This is part of the punishment for breaking into the country. They at least have the opportunity for their children, born here, to have a better life. That is the cost of their actions.

Those that come here for the first time on this visa, who assimilate and work without legal problems for ten years, may apply for citizenship.

After a two year grace period, any employer hiring an illegal, (now a person without the new ID papers), will have their business confiscated and given to the local community to either close or run legally.

This may not be perfect, but it would give them all the incentive to sign up. After the two year period ends, anyone caught here illegally would face mandatory jail until there home country takes them back. In some cases, that could mean life in prison. That incentive should keep them out.

Then, at of the end of the two year grace period, free lawyers are given to anyone with these work visas to sue any employee paying less than the minimum wage. Repeated violations, and the business is turned over to the employees, (because the previous owners, board of directors and ceo will be in jail).

Finally, Congress should also pass an immigration reciprocity law, ie. any citizen of another country shall have all of the rights in this country that Americans have in their (the immigrants) home country.

Lets see the foreign governments and other hypocrites screaming for full American citizens rights just for being here chew on that.

We are constantly calling Representatives and Senators and BEGGING them not to do this or that. They have become insulated from the voters and DON'T CARE what we think. Therefore, we need to start discussing ways to IMPEACH them, EVERY one of them. This will get their attention.

MAS89 is EXACTLY right. They hold there hand on the bible and swear to uphold our laws, then do everything they can to make money skirting those same laws. How can any Supreme Court justice, whose only job is to interpret the constitutionality of our laws, use foreign law to come to a decision, and not get impeached? We are sheep waiting to be shorn and led to slaughter, and we do nothing. We deserve the disaster that awaits us.

CAREER POLS ARE THE PROBLEM..THE LONGER THEY ARE IN OFFICE, THE MORE COMPANYS BUY THEM..

 OUR ELECTION SYSTEM IS FLAWED---THESE GUYS ARE BOUGHT BEFORE THEY ARE EVEN SEATED IN OFFICE..

CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MANY CLINTON OWES FAVORS TO???  AND--THEY ARE ALL THE SAME..

THEN OF COURSE WE REALLY NEED A MUSLIM IN THE WHITE HOUSE..--OBAMA IS NOT A MUSLIM--HOW ABOUT HIS DAD, AND ALL THOSE RELATIVES OF HIS ???

You bunch of arrogant elitist, the People, remember the People, said No to Amnesty of any form.  Yet the following is what I am hearing!

THE VERY LOW CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING FOR AN AG AMNESTY Rosemary says you don't have to have spent much time in the fields to qualify for Feinstein and Craig's amnesty. You only have to meet ONE of the following three criteria to get the amnesty: Earned $7,000 working in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period. Or worked 863 hours in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period. Or worked at least a little bit in agriculture on 150 different days during the 2004-2007 period. That amounts to an average of $1,750 per year ... ... or 216 hours per year (the equivalent of 4 hours per week) ... ... or parts of 37 days per year. DO THEY THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND THAT WE COULD POSSIBLY ACCEPT THAT ILLEGAL ALIENS WORKING THAT LITTLE IN AGRICULTURE ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE SURVIVAL OF AGRI-BUSINESS IN AMERICA!!!!!! The answer is that they really hope we are that stupid or just incredibly unfocused.
