I am sick and tired of our current media and politicians not paying attention to what WE the People want.  They are NOT listening.  I must reiterate that I believe the fence is being ignored because of the talks on the North American Union.  Why build a fence if it's just going to be torn down?  We need to get a handle on this illegal alien thing.  If we do not, we will suffer the consequences of today's headlines; with children being raped and murdered all in the name of Human Rights?  The British have a similar problem with their Muslim population.  They released a terrorist today because of their Human Rights laws.  We do the same thing and democracy is fading.  We are being "done in" by our own Human Rights laws.  They need to be changed NOW.

TEXANS---PAY ATTENTION. It was Texas Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison that attached the amendment that gutted the border fence. She is a "lame duck" Senator because she plans to run for Governor of Texas. Since she is a lame duck, she figures that she can do as she pleases (really raising money for her Gubernotorial campaign and most likely accepting bribes/contributions from those employers that profit from cheap labor)and ignore the people that she swore to protect. In April 2008, one of my friends, a 31 year old school teacher from Stratford, Tx., was out for an evening walk when she was run over and severely injured by an illegal with no driver license. I wrote Senator Hutchison and told her she was as much to blame as the illegal immigrant. I hope that ALL Texans and anyone else who cares to write or call, will contact Senator Hutchison and let her know what havoc she is reaping on the American people. It would be great to contact all Congressmen and Senators who have opposed the border fence and tell them the same thing. Tex for the USA.

Why would they want to build the fence anyways? I'm a construction worker, in the past couple of years all I have done is build and expand concrete plants along the so called Nafta Super Highway corridor! They are commited to bring in CHEAPER labor at any costs! I already work with so many people who can't speak english, it appears to be never ending and is getting worse!  McCain seems to want more Mexicans here, and when this Super Highway gets built, I'll be making even less money than I make now! They'll be crossing the border in Bus loads! Then I guess when I stop working for cheap wages they can come up with the same B.S argument that if the Mexicans weren't here, who would do the work? Or they are only doing jobs we Americans don't want to do because we are too lazy?  What really concerns me is, what are my grown children in the construction business also going to do when they can't make enough money to survive?  I guess they all can move back in with my wife and I (Like the Mexicans do,several generations under the same roof) Hey, thats a Great idea! It works for them, maybe thats all part of the Changing Global Economy for the America working class?

We can all go on government assistance and let the working Mexicans support us.

As a Vietnam veteran I am sick and tired of watching our "no good" representatives in Washington ignore our wishes.  I am a"legal" citizen of this great country, who votes and sends these folks to Washington to represent me, am greatly disturbed that they seem to know what is best for me.  How many times do I have to send them notes and letters demanding what I want.  They obviously have gone brain dead and/or believe they know better.  They must think they are mind readers.  You can be assured I will get in touch with Rep. davis and straighten him out.  If he can't do the job we East Tennesseeans sent him to do then I will find someone who can.  Thankl you for this forum for me to explain my thoughts.

Let me add my amen to getting rid of the fools in Washington who refuse to hear our concerns.

WE, the legal citizens and legal immigrants of the US, need to march on Washington, our state capitols, and our elected leaders regional offices. We need to DEMAND that they build the fence, immediately deport ALL illegals, grant NO amnesty, and prosecute employers of illegals removing the magnet for them to come here.

There is no such thing as a law abiding illegal immigrant. By nature of coming here illegally they are not law abiding. Compounding this they pay no income tax (unless Illegally using one of our social security numbers), they drive without a license (again unless obtained illegally), and many other legal infractions.

Remember when you hire that latino to mow your lawn, paint your house, or do handyman work you are part of the problem. Either go back to hiring the neighbor's teenage son to mow your lawn and wash your car or verify that you are hiring someone that is either a legal citizen or a Legal immigrant.

The United States is a Government "Of the people, by the people, and for the people" of the United States. We need to take swift action and demand our laws be upheld. If the representatives were inundated DAILY with calls, emails, and visits from the legal citizens and legal resident aliens of the US they would listen.

Our complacency is going to be our downfall.

 

I am a retired person trying to live on social security. I have faithfully sent faxes and made phone calls. I tired from sending all this stuff that no one reads. My phone calls are answered by young people who really have no idea what I'm referring to. The costly faxes stack up on desks, apparently unread. Our representatives send me a standard generic reply They do not care......

What really needs to be done is to teach people how to vote. Not to just pull a "Party" lever, but to select individually, the best candidate for office no matter what party they are associated with. A educated voter is what they really fear.

Now we need an organization who will testify to the voting record so the average citizen can understand who they are voting for. Then throw the Bum's out.....

Being disgusted with the lack of border control etc. I decided to move to Mexico. I was burglarized 4 times by my neighbors with the police doing nothing. One time, we called the police after other good neighbors told us where the stolen merchandise was. We were ignored as they didn't want to bother. With 4 trips to the police station to make reports, there were many people making complaints. When they went to the store, they would return and their furniture would be gone along with their kitchen appliances. Stealing is a way of life for many of the people. I returned to live in America where the police at least will investigate a burglary.

In the Tucson area where I live there are at least 30 illegals in hospitals because of the auto/truck car crashes they have been in. Guess who gets to pay for their medical bills? Mexico isn't about to step up for that one. Meantime up the road in Phoenix one of our former Border Patrol officers languishes in federal prison for shooting an illegal drug trafficker in the butt. Some justice! Let's hope our new president releases Ramos and Compean from jail.

Unfortunately, Ramos and Compean are no more likely to be released by the next administration than by this one.

We have signed petitions and called our "Representatives" and we are still doing the same things again and again. Why not try something different?

With elections coming up in November and all of Congress "Listening" we have an opportunity to really make them "Listen". Lets start a list of "Anti-American" politicians, based on their records of illegal immigration matters.

 We can have a pre-amble stating our position on this subject and then labeling the politicians that have acted against our positions as "Anti-American", and using our groups and others that wish to join in spreading our message to voters around the country as to the politicians we consider as "Anti-American"

To start the ball rolling, I would suggest we start the list with George Bush and Kay Bailey Hutchison and the congressmen in the Hispanic Caucus then let  others keep building the list, hopefully shining the light on other Two-faced politicians, and making a meaningful contribution to their downfall, and negative Legesy.

I'm from Iowa & we are being told this is the largest illegal alien raid in history.  So, why has this not been reported on the world news and why is it being so hushed?  We know why, if we don't discuss it then we don't have to do anything about it.

Well, I hate to say but 'Our Great Country' has turned into a Great Big Toilet. It's going down in a great big spiral of cash and crap. We got 'to good for ourselves'. We have to be the perfect country, the perfect people, everybody lives the perfect life, you know, the milk and honey thing whether you work or not. We surely don't want to 'leave anybody behind'. You don't even have to belong to  our club, just get here, don't forget your family, and we'll take care of everything! By doing this for everyone and being so generous, the world LOVES us, they admire us, we're respected in every corner of the earth and are welcomed with open arms everywhere. We're so good and great.                                            Everybody knows the working middle class tax payers have plenty of money to pay for everybody! We know Big Business doesn't have to pay their share, middle class will take care of that.  And if we're a little short we know we have elected the right 'peers' to Washington to make sound judgement to take our 'savings' (SSN) to pay for the ones who don't work or contribute so we don't leave them at the station on this 'American Gravy Train'. We also want to make sure our honest and trusted elected 'peers' are taken care of the rest of their lives for their difficult and hard 2 years or 6 years of service. They must be taken care of for life. We trust their sound judgement to give themselves pay raises and pensions as they see fit. So with this all said I just want to recommend to the middle working class to get a second job before we completely sink. We got more people coming and all the people on assistance want more and we're never going to be able to cover them if you don't get off your lazy butt and get another job, we need the tax money NOW!! If we go down it's the middle class tax payers fault for not giving more 'to the cause'. Everybody knows there's jobs out there so there's no reason not to have a second one.  Get to work!!!!!                        I smell smoke, is Rome burning again?????

Yes it was Hutchison but John Cornyn voted with her along with many other Texans in the House. Hutchison, who is big on earmarks, is indeed aiming for TX governor. And Cornyn has a lust for the presidency. Together, we can sink their aspirations. It is past time to speak politely to these people. Instead it is time to DEMAND that they honor their office, their oath, and the voters who put them there.
