I was very dissapointed to hear what Senator McCain said on CNN. I called his Senate telephone line and left a message.  He just just does not understand that we were attacked her on 9/11 by those here "illegally". We can not afford to have another 3,000 people killed in this country.

It is the first obligation of our government to protect the borders of our country. We are being invaded by millions of people who come here "illegally". We have the right to know who is entering and exiting our country.

It's just a matter of time until we are attacked again. I wonder which Congressman will be willing to take the blame for 3,000 more American deaths.

This man should never become President.  I'm fed up with the catering to the illegals in this country!  They shouldn't be voting here anyway.  What is going on that their vote is more important than the U.S. citizens votes?  They want to open the United States to every illegal in the world to come marching on in and make this the North American Union.  I can't even believe that American citizens are going to stand for this.  The sooner they wake up the better.  I'm going with the Revolution!  No more of the lying for me!  I want someone that is going to stand for the U.S. Constitution and the sovereignty of this country.  People want change?  Then they better look to Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin for the change.  There is no other route at this point in our history.  No more of the same old mode of operations!  We need someone that will send these people packing and deport the visa over-stayers, secure our borders and put this country on a fast track to saving it!

Agree on McCain and illegals. I want to disagree about the anti gas tax conventional wisdom. Whatever happened to conservative resolve in opposing all taxes? I think the fact that Hillary supports it is what is causing people to oppose it, even though it's a rock solid conservative position.

The Wash Times treatment of this is simply false and ridiculous: that it basically won't save people money, because it would increase demand, therefore, only the oil companies would benefit.

This ignores the basic reality that THERE IS ANOTHER PARTY in the transaction! The people!

If they don't drive more, then they will save money. If they choose to drive more, then they get the BENEFIT oF DRIVING MORE, for goodness sake. Either way, they WIN! I can't believe all sophistry on this issue from all corners.

These people are so blinded by anti-hillary emotion, that they have argued themselves into opposing free trade! If you stop taxing free trade, you may get more of it, which is what we want.

Just got off the phone with McCain Campaign HQ, and left them with a few thoughts on why I opppose his immigration, Gang of 14 activities and global warming nonsense. They have received many calls with concerns about his immigration position and his coziness with La Raza, etc.

Why can we not get an honest person who wants to be the president of this country? John McCain want to please big business and so what with the rest of us. If he had to live like the rest of us he would feel the same way we do. Low paying jobs, crime rate out of site, illegals taking over the schools, restaurants, parks, playgrounds and everything else. We have at least 20,000 of them here and that is equal to the number of legal citizens we have. These people are not citizens of this country and they have no rights. If the employers would be fined and serve jail time for hiring them they would not hire them and they would leave. No big deal about hauling them away and the expense of it. If they come here legally, follow the laws, keep their homes maintained, etc. most of them would be welcomed. Our local welfare system is broke because of them. So are the hospitals and schools. Most of them have no obvious employment and they drive Escalades and Navigators, etc. Enough is enough but I don`t know what it is going to take to make John McCain understand he will be giving our nation away if he does what big business wants. I am voting for Pat Paulsen once again. Yes, I know he has been dead for years but he always comes out as the best candidate. Frank and Effie

I am not surprised that he apparently never gave up his original stance on Comprehensive Immigration Reform. He's such a flip flopper. He tells the Latinos one thing and says something else to appease us. I live in metropolitan Phoenix and I heard him on the radio stating that we need comprehensive immigration reform, and then states that he is in FAVOR of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's crime suppression sweeps and enforcement on the local level. So which is it? You can't have it both ways, McCain. And then he is going to the La Raza convention? That is a real slap in the face to Americans. I called both numbers provided by Grassfire. The 202 number I left a recorded message. The presidential campaign number I got a live person. I told her I am tired of his comprehensive immigration reform claims and that I am an Independent and will not vote for any amnesty candidates, even if it means not voting this election. The woman who took the message said she is getting lots of similar complaints. So if you can, please call McCain's D.C. Senate office: 202-224-2235 or McCain for President phone number: 703-418-2008. Now I heard that the Brown Berets of Aztlan from San Diego are organizing caravans to the state of Arizona where they feel their community is presently under siege by racists and other anti-immigrant elements. Why are they not accused of being terrorists?

I tried to call Sen. McCain's Washington, DC Senate office and the person answering the phone hung up on me when I told him I was disappointed with his decision to go back to "Comprehensive Immigration Reform". Guess he had most of us fooled when he said he "learned his lesson". He didn't learn a damn thing. We all should have known better when it was discovered he appointed a high ranking member of La Raza and Dr. Juan Hernandez, a rabid open borders advocate to his campaign committee.

Well, Mr. McCain can kiss my vote goodbye!!!!

I am disgusted that John McCain is backing amnesty again. Why don't we just invite everyone from every country to invade us under this amnesty B/S. I thought we were a sovereign nation but I guess our politcal idiots think it is ok for anyone who wants to come to be accepted on their terms. Personally there is not one of the 3 that's running for President that is worth the trouble to vote. Not one of them is interested in this ciountry and what is good for it but what is good for that individual. Will we ever find a candidate that is interested in what is transpiring in this country or are they all Jimmy Carters. I wish they would stop their pandering and attend to the business of the United States.

If the good Senator offers us the same agenda as the Democratic Party, then we might as well vote for a real Democrat.  Since I cannot bring myself to do that, I guess I just won't vote at all.

Well, we screwed up a great opportunity to get someone in office that opposes foriegn aid. Is in favor of closed borders. Does not believe in meddling in other countries affairs. (Which usually causes wars) Supports getting rid of the IRS. Deporting illigals and fining employers who hire them.

RON PAUL would have made a good canidate. All he would need is some support from the "citizens" of this country and we could eliinate all this stuff everyone is complaining about here.

BTW I agree with Jerry and Sharons post.

John McCain is no better of a canidate than the other two which are still lieing their guts out to the public.

I think I will probably pass on this election. I have never done that in all my years of voting (And they are many.)  But, I can't in good consience vote for any of these birds.  They have nothing to offer but more of the same old BS

I guess McCain didn't learn his lesson... or maybe he did tell...  them what they want to hear!

The security risk we take with this amnesty nonsense was highlighted several days ago when 11 illegals from 'countries of ( terrorist supporting countries) were arrested by the FBI carrying driver licences from New Mexico obtained with false documents.

The Constitution Party is looking better!

Oldguy New Jersey: McCain courting LaRaza and is back to Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Care to join me in a third party push? What's to lose? Poke-A-Party!

We are getting what we deserve.  We had the opportunity to support and vote for Fred Thompson, the ONLY true conservative that was running for President in 2008.  Now we are stuck w/what the lib media wants as our GOP nominee for Prez, John McLame!!  It's disgusting!  Never again will I write another check to the RNC until they get it right!!  We have a choice between Marxists and a Liberal who calls himself a Republican....he's selling the GOP down the river............don't take the bait!  Suck it up and live to fight another day!

Please don't pass up voting.  That will do nothing to send our message.  Check out the Constitution Party and Chuck Baldwin.  All I'm asking is that you check them out and decide for yourselves if this party and their nominee is someone you could vote for.  We need to stick together because the illegals have so many of our own elected leaders supporting them we are doomed if McHilBama is elected.  McCain did not fool me for one minute.  I mean come on.  McCain/Feingold, The Keating Five and McCain/Kennedy.  He is a scumbag and not one bit better than the other two.  I guess he thought it was safe to admit he still supports amnesty.

I too have quit supporting the RNC with my money.  I really don't give a rip if they have enough to waste on campaigning for this turkey!

To anyone reading this post: Like you, I am growing tried and frustrated at the state of political pandering in America today. Every evening on the 6 o'clock news it seems as though there is another story on illegal immigration and the war we are loosing against it. Hello, my name is Ashley Scott and I am a Producer & CEO with Iniosante llc, a video production company based outside San Antonio, TX. Check us out at : www.iniosante.com. My company getting ready to produce a High Definition Documentary Film on the true reality of illegal immigration in the US today and it's overwhelming effects that mainstream media glosses-over or regularly ignore. If you have something to say about this topic or would like to financially help get this message out, please email me as I would like to hear from you. America is in need of real change, and not the kind Washington politicians try to sell us. The title of our film is... "Grand Theft: America". Thanks- Ashley Scott info@iniosante.com

Heck Juan McInsane already pushed me over to the other side way back.  I've never voted for a Dem in a presidential election, but have volunteered on Obama's campaign and my wife and I have both donated the maximum personal contribution to his campaign.

I know, I know, he's no better than McCain.  But he's not from Arizona as I am, and we all know that the Hispanics will not vote for Obama because of race.

Juan McInsane is playing the race card: if Obama wins the Dem card (and he will), then McInsane will grab those Hispanics who will not vote for a man that is half Black.

Mr. McCain, I was almost there! Almost to the point of believing you. I've even recently talked to some of my friends and asked them to give you the benefit of the doubt about your standing on immigration.

No longer! I am now convinced you are willing to let every immigrant into this country, for the votes of the legals, and for the votes of millions of illegals that our pourous national borders have allowed here and will find a way to vote!!

I sure hate to see either of the Democrats sit in highest office but it looks like you just made that possible!

He hasn't learned.  I was willing to hold my nose and vote for McLame, but this tears it.  I'll vote "down ticket" for conservatives, but the POTUS gets a pass.

The problem: My choices this year are a Liberal (McCain), a socialist (Hill or Obambi) a Libertarian (Paul) and Ralph nader (whatever).   This is the year for "None of the Above"!

Sadly it is a losing proposition for the overwhelming majority of voters who want decisve action taken on our borders. There are millions of Illegals already here whom are costing taxpayers billions of dollars...and jobs.

Neither party seems willing to listen to the will of their constituency...American citizens.  They instead pander to the Illegals and the Mexican Government, which is itself corrupt and unwilling to support it's own citizens. The fence is stalled, municipalities or states that attempt to take action on their own, out of frustration, are  met with resistence by the federal Government and activists.  McCain is the only viable candidate however. Hillary...or God forbid Obama will take us down the road to socialism and Marxism respectively.
