I do not totally agree with everything my pastor preaches either but it is where God wants me to be.  As individuals, the Lord will place us where He wants us if we are sensitive to Him.  Just b/c Barack attends that particular church does not necessarily mean he believes everything the pastor preaches.  But, he did state that his pastor brought him to know Jesus.  That's the most important thing in our lives anyway... isn't it???

Re: Collapse of Bear Stearns

Hold on to your hats folks, it's about to get a lot worse.  Our economy is bleeding into the sands in Iraq and it is unsustainable.  The Feds keep printing money making the value of your dollar worth less and driving up inflation.  They also make matters worse by trying to prop up companies that made stupid mistakes instead of letting them fail.  In a worst case scenario, marshal law is declared and Bush stays in office until the “crisis” is over.  So, buy gold, guns and ammo and you’ll survive this.

That's my opinion, your mileage may vary.

HEY SUZIMOD: Welcome to FS, where we often rant at each other, but where we all try to learn from each other. If you attended a Mormon Church, I assume you'd believe in its doctrines; if you attended a Catholic Church, you'd also believe in its doctrines and in its' priests' teachings; if you belong to an Islamic mosque you subscribe to its tenets, and you darn well agree (I assume) to the teachings of your Imam. So what makes you believe that just because that "new Messiah", Sen. B. Hussein Obama, has belonged to that church for 20 years, was married by its radical anti-white, anti-Jewish pastor who preaches hatred of his country, that he DOESN'T subscribe to his pastor's evil rantings. Get real, Suzi. Surely you don't believe Obama when he claims to "not recall" any of Wright's hate-filled messages. Recently, a NewsMax reporter attended that "church" WITH OBAMA and listened to Wright's diatribe against America, and reported that Obama nodded his head in agreement. So much for Obama's truthfullness, don't you think? Read the article today on Steve Eliott's blog, above.

Re OLDONE70:  Presently, I attend a Pentecostal church.  just fyi... my pastor has preached a "dress code" which I do not believe God has labeled that one must do.  I no longer sing in the choir of my particular church b/c I do not adhere to any dress code.  Also, I "do not recall" EVERYTHING my pastor has preached.  One thing he does preach is that we can lose our salvation.  "I" do not believe this.  If we are truly God's property then "nothing can pluck us out of his hand".  All I'm saying is that we do not remember everything our pastor's preach and just b/c I do not adhere or believe everything the UPC dictates does not mean that I am not loyal to my pastor and my church.  It is God's church and HE (God) will ultimately deal with the pastor(s) as well as everyone else.  Foot in mouth  Oh, and I've attended same for over 11 years now.  So, this is what I'm talking about.  And, I've read the WorldNetDaily article... fyi....

In reference to Suzi as well. I agree with oldone although I am not 70 I am 27. I have not been in the same church for 20 years but I have for 6.5. I do not attend a small church and it is not currently a mega church. I can say I do agree with everything my Pastor says, why can i say this because everything he says he can back with the bible and I'm not talking about picking out scripts and using them for his own benefit.

As to Barack and his church the bible and any pyscologist will tell you become like the people you A: hang around with the most B: those who are your leaders and influence you.  NO ONE will be able to convince me that a man who listens to his authority for 20 years is not influenced by what he hears.

As to your comments. As to your church and the dress code to be plain and simple it is legalism. But legalism in its original form was to teach people be HOLY and NOT like the World. So in being in rebellion(the original sin with pride) to the rules of your church It brings me to your next point. Once you are a child of God, He doesn't take away that gift you are right in that aspect, although you can backslide. But you must consider this. You can walk away from God.

Ex. Paul said that he is pushing toward the mark/goal for the prize.   So take a race for example what is the goal to finish if not get 1st(getting to heaven). So think of it this way your goal and prize is Jesus, Heaven, and NO more struggles/pain right? So we have to constantly keep our eyes on that goal or we will turn away or lose sight of that goal, Correct? Well how do we do this? Most importantly read our Bible. I know we've heard this one forever. The biggest thing we miss is it is our instruction manual for how to get closer to the goal. Which is finding out what Jesus taught to his disciples and our instruction of how to live our lives. Do not discredit the Old Testament either. It teaches us the lessons that the Isrealites learned from being rebellious to God and His authority. Please don't think I am attacking you! God has given me a gift of instruction and prophecy. So I am Not condemning you I am just writing what the spirit tells me too. I hope this finds you well and have a Blessed Day!

If a person is going to run for office, s/he is going to be "vetted" by the press and everyone else. Everything they have ever done or even thought about doing is going to be brought to light. This has been known for at least the last 20 years - since the press stopped being "gentlemanly" and took it's gloves off. Knowing this, how can a person who aspires to the highest office in the land attend a church in which hate of ANY kind is being preached - for ANY length of time??

Mr. Obama has demonstrated his political ineptitude and the lack of that sharp kind of intelligence needed in those seeking the presidency. He missed this. He missed it for TWENTY YEARS!! He could be forgiven for missing it for 4 or even 5 years. But TWENTY??? What else will he miss? What will he not "catch" if he is elected? This is not about black and white. This is about political astuteness. And Obama has demonstrated that he just doesn't have it.

It won't be "God Damn the USof KKK" if he is elected, it will be, "God Help the USA!"

HEY SUZIMOD: If you belong to (or attend) a church whose pastor teaches that you can lose your salvation, you are either in the WRONG CHURCH or YOU HAVE AN UNBIBLICAL PASTOR!! If you've attended this same church for 11 years, then with all due respect, I recommend you find a NEW CHURCH, for your pastor is preaching ERROR!!!!! As far as "dress codes" are concerned, many pentacostal and fundamentalist Christian churches dwell on dress codes, some of which may be justified, and some of which may be unbiblical. Many of these churches teach that women should not wear pants under any conditions, for that is wearing "men's" clothing. Some worry about how long a man's hair is, rather than concerning themselves about his heart, and his relation to Christ. Some practice the (in my opinion) unbiblical practice of speaking in "tongues", which is just gibberish, plain and simple. But that is my opinion. And I'm sorry you no longer "sing in the choir" because of the dress code. Does this mean you wear pants--or very short skirts--or "sleeveless" blouses?????? Don't let these man-made rules tear you away from serving our Savior, in whatever Biblical ministry you wish to serve Him. If you enjoy singing in the choir, then please find a REFORMED CHURCH where you can sing "a New Song", and continue to serve the One who loved us, and gave Himself for us!

What the pastor said was basically correct. The bunch of white guys running things are analogous to our elites in the CFR. What the pastor said was basically true. The main bad and wrong thing was the many references to "Americans" do all these bad things. No, the ordinary American is not at fault at the bad things happening in our country, bad things for all of us, not just black people. I sent an email to two black men who I respected ran a public access TV show here and asked them if they were patriots. They laughed at my email on the show and were both quick to say "no, they were not patriots." They conveyed that America and its founders were bad to and bad for black people and that they were never to be forgiven. I was very surprised and enlightened by that. Here two fine upstanding black men who were both school teachers conveyed that black folk just are not in to American patriotism at all. Obama is not fit to be president but it is not because of what his pastor says. Obama is part of the international bankers and new world order crowd. Obama and Hillary and McCain all have equally egregious unconstitutional viess on the second amendment that of itself makes them all unfit to be president. Write in the name of Ron Paul for president. That is the only decent thing you can do for the U.S.A.

I aam thoroughly disgusted with what we have running for president for the United states.  OBama is a muslim, even tho he expects us to believe that he is a christian with a church that is very radical and only has blacks, and no whits withn.  Hillary is a commusint with commumist beliefs.  She has studied Karl Marx.  Mccain is of the old washinton crowd, and is very liberal.  I agree that Ron Paul was the only decent man running for president, and the liberal media made sure that they got rid of him.  I think I am going to write in Ron Paul for president and I pray to god that all of the patriotic Americans do the same and we can send a message to the world that we are tired of the way things have been going and that we want a change.

I TOTALLY AGREE THAT OBAMA IS HIDING SOMETHING, I LIVE IN ILLINOIS AND KNOW MORE ABOUT HIM, NOT MUCH AS HE HAS NEVER DONE A THING FOR OUR STATE NOR THE US, HE IS VERY INEPT TO RUN A COUNTRY OF THIS SIZE AND THE CHALLENGES THAT FACE US.  IF HE IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE MUSLIM FAITH I WOULD BE SURPRISED, HE WAS RAISED BY A RADICAL MUSLIM STEPFATHER, JOINED THIS SO CALLED CHURCH, AND WAS SEEN AT ONE OF THESE RADICAL SERMONS OBSERVED BY A REPORTER.  MY RELIGON HAS BEEN INGRAINED IN MY HEAD SINCE I WAS YOUNG, BESIDES I WOULD NEVER SIT THERE AND LISTEN TO SUCH RADICAL CRAZY SERMONS AGAINST OUR COUNTRY.  I SURE HOPE PEOPLE WAKE UP AND SEE THIS SMOOTH TALKING PERSON AS A CURSE TO OUR COUNTRY.  I THINK TALKS WITH A FORKED TONGUE, HE CAN DENY ALL HE WANTS.

WAKE UP EVERYONE!!!!!

HELGA

Interesting observation Suzi but how can someone with such hate in them like Mr. Wright lead anyone to love? I'm sorry but I can't give Obama a pass on this one. His rather flimsy excuse that he never heard that kind of preaching in the 20 years that he's been a member puzzles me and also troubling. Either he is lieing about it (there is just too much evidence that says he is) or while in church duiring any of Mr. Wrights uplifting hate speeches against America and "white people" just went over his head or he has a bad lack of concentration. In any event both are not qualities I would be comfortable with for our camander in cheif.

First of all Mr Obama is a politician and politicians tend to say and do anything that enhances their chances of attaining any office.  His wife made an offensive remark a few days ago that to my way of thinking goes hand in hand with  remarks made by the Reverend Wright.  A little detective work on words soon add up to nothing more than  hate and discontent.  Obama is true to form when it comes to evading point blank questions, side stepping issues and trying to cover his six O'Clock position.

One reason I left the church was the need for more money and political issues.  To the clergy I say preach or teach the WORD and leave all else to the professionals we pay to run our country or turn in your ecclesiastical vestments  and run for office.

I am trying to figure out why this entire country considers Obama to be a "black" man?  He is HALF WHITE making him a person of color perhaps, but NOT a black man!  And according to the pictures of his minister, who seems to be a man trying to mock our great country, he also has some white in him and would not be a "black" man either.  Unless both your parents and grandparents are black, I'd say you don't have the right to call yourself that and come down on the "white" man, as you are only coming down on ONE of your own races.   I certainly don't want Obama to win but not because of what an ignorant minister in his church has to say.  Judge him on his own merits and values and what he has done for the state of Illinois while in the senate.  If he has done nothing, than why trust him to do anything but that if elected president?  Hillary is by far the better choice.

My concern with these notices about Obama are that people will feel that Clinton is the obvious choice. I do not approve of the things Obama's pastor teaches, but I must say that I respect that he has been trying to stick with issues rather than spread dirt about his opponents.

I am  concerned about the fact that Clinton's sent out false information about competitors (including Obama) and no else spead lies about competitors. What kind of example is this for our young people? How will the world respect us if the only way she can lead is through character attacks?

Also, if Clinton were to be elected are we prepared for 4-8 more years of blatant sexual immorality as the approved life style of this country? Has she discussed any real issues beyond character attacks?  Is that how she intends to deal with other countries and lead our country?

Oh my heart breaks. I often sing "If my people which are called upon my name will humble themselves humble themselves AND PRAY. Then will I hear their prayer....and heal their land" Oh I pray it is not too late.

He lead him somewhere alright, but it sure wasn't to Jesus. allah, maybe. thats the only "GOD" I think these types recognize. The only "religion" they call a "religion" that does teach hate and killing , also. They call this place a church. I call it a meeting place for hate mongering and blastpohemy against white folks. In God's house (Church), he would not allow these types of teachings to go on. This place is NOT God's house, therefore is not a church. It is no different than the Chicago church that held the illegal immigrant for so long, while all the time she was threatening us and saying she was here to take our country. yea, these places are not like the churches I have ever went to. And had I stumbled on one, I would have got up instantly and walked out!

I also would not have put tons of money into a church I didn't believe in its teachings. Obama did. I can only hope this man is crusified over this and is finished as far as being ANYTHING but the "black man" he wants to be--and  from having anything to do with running anything in our country. Africa is his daddys home. They could use someone like king hussein to "save" them. We don't need him here. And he can take Oprah and Farrakahn with him. Heck, he could take the whole ACLU!!!! one big , happy family.Yell In africa!

I am very happy they are finally getrting the "dirt" as you call it out in the open. We have every right to know the person who wants to be in our Whitehouse. No rocks left unturned! Especially since he has been caught in too many lies already! Now is not the time to stick our heads in the sand just because "its just Politics". Its NOT just politics. Its our livleyhood and saftey and security. Yeah, we need all the DIRT we can get! As long as its true, we should know. We have the right.

The problem is SNOPES research found many of the things said was false information (lies) sent out by the Clinton camp. That way my primary point. The truth yes. The dirt that is false no.

Again WE NEED TO PRAY FOR OUR COUNTRY. Where have the morals gone? Where is GOD in the lives of these potential leaders?

SURELY his pastor did not preach "hate" sermons every Sunday... does your respective preachers preach the same exact sermons EVERY Sunday???  Sounds like some of you just "want" to hate too.  Maybe all should just pray.....!

Yes, agreed we should all pray. Pray that this man does not pull the wool over anyone elses eyes ,and the ones who cannot see beyond his promises, that thier eyes be opened.

A video cannot lie. Thats all I saw and all I needed to see as I felt like I have known what he was about from the beginning. I don't know what SNOPES found that are lies, but videos don't!

If you are filled with that much hate, I am sure he can't wait until Sunday to go spew his hate for Whites, or anything else he hates. When you are full of hate, there is no room for love.

Obamas speech just made him look like he was sticking up for him and you could see how he was trying to make him look like a wonderful man. Just because he is a good speaker, doesn't mean he can run this country, and especially fair to all! The more I watched, the more the real truth came out. Instead of him being infuriated with his pastor for this, he is telling everyone how much he loves him. How he would not have found Jesus. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Jesus isn't present in a "so called church" that teaches people to hate one another! Just think about it.

Today is the day we take our country back.
