The Radical U.S. Constitution

by Gary Wood ©October 3, 2007 George Orwell made a very interesting observation when he stated, “ During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.”   This is the very quote Aaron Russo chose to be the beginning frame in his eye-opening documentary America: from Freedom to Fascism .   Watching and reading the news brought this statement back into focus.   This election cycle I hear people once again wincing in the pain of considering ...

Time has passed - and as Ron Paul has said - we've gotten away from "our roots" - the Constitution.  I can't believe some consider it "radical" to follow our Constitution...

"If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. The loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or imagined, from abroad." -- James Madison

Ron Paul is the candidate to take us back to our roots.  I think he is the one that truly loves his country and wants it to stand for what our forefathers intended it to stand for.  Things can't be 100% for quite a while because of what has been going on in this country for the last decades, but Ron Paul can give us one heck of a good start and perhaps others will follow in his footsteps!  The children of the future deserve to know what their country was founded on.  If we don't turn this around they will never know because our Constitution will be buried somewhere in a museum!  It will probably be put where they will never be able to view it.  I for one am sure that many people are afraid to go back to what the forefathers had planned. Has anyone asked the people that are frightened what they are afraid of?

Sometimes I think that we are a Nation of little children. We have forgotten how to think for ourselves. When there is a problem within our country we look to government like a child would look to their parents to assure us that we will be okay. We treat our freedoms as if they do not matter, now is the time to fight while you still have the right. Ron Paul's ideas seem radical because we have been asleep, vote for someone that truly stands for change. We all know what we have now and the future does not look very bright for our children unless you are Espanic or Muslim. We need to bring our hertiage back and be proud of who we are and what we stand for.

To change the direction of this country, you must change the people who you have entrusted. Do not stand by and let others tell you what is good for your country. Vote these carpet baggers out of office.

I keep hearing about Ron Paul and that might be a good start. In my opinion we are at the same juncture that they were some 220 or so years ago. Time for a tea party, except they've already worked out the formula for us. All we have to do is bring that formula back with the same resolve of our fore-fathers. Weather or not that means by the same means they had to use or not remains to be seen. Fact is there's no difference between King Georges rule over us and our present governments rule over us. In fact I'm sure we pay more taxes with less representation than ever before. If you sale your birthright or Sovereignty you should have at least gotten 30 pieces of silver.

Keep in mind the country will be very volatile when Ron Paul becomes President and starts taking away the "entitlements" of the children.  Many will also kick and scream about slowing the amount of mass dollars into the Military-Industrial Complex.  We are going to go through a period of increased unemployment as hundreds of thousands of people living in the cottage industries surrounding many bureauracracies will be out of work.  It is going to be a tough world, it will take all supporters united to keep this country from ripping apart as we attempt to move into a more Constitutional way of life.  I hope all the Paul supporters are aware of this and ready to stand for years in support of the revolution!

At the current rate - illegals take a BULK of the entitlements...by slashing those - it's a step in the right direction.  Then - he wants to leave it up to the states for "welfare".  A friend of mine in RI - has daycare benefits (state provided).  She basically gets a voucher to use where she wants for "free" daycare.  She pays "pennies" a week for 2 children.  Texas doesn't offer this type of assistance.

Ron Paul isn't going to leave the needy hanging - it's just not up to the Federal government to provide this type of service.  Yes, some government bureaucracies may change - however, I see this as a GOOD thing... we need less government...not more.  It's going to be a much tougher world with continuing status quo.

First, let me clarify I was using the term children based on comment by BassinBob, " Sometimes I think that we are a Nation of little children."  Not literally just the kiddies...sorry for the confusion.

No argument it will be much better but it will be radical in nature for many. There are over 100,000 IRS employees...now, calculate in the number of people inolved in tax preparation, tax lawyers, financial planners that will be in far less demand since most of what they do is help plan around the rediculous tax code...and that is just one industry.

All I am saying is with the success of Dr. Paul to President Paul there will be a large number of the people mad as hell and we need to be ready. It is revolutionary for many who are always looking to the Federal Govt. for assistance. Even some of the States are going to go through tremendous pains with having to take back their responsibilities. WE know it will be better but there is some real challenges during transition is my only warning. We have to be ready for it, IMHO.

I agree - tough "love" is going to be hard for some to wrap their arms around...  Being realistic - it's not going to happen overnight either.  With that said, he is just the tough love this country needs though to get back on track....

My brother is a CPA - tax accountant and amazingly is a Ron Paul supporter - so, expect the unexpected in 2008.

WELL SAID, BASSIN BOGGS: We do treat the freedoms we still have as if they do not matter--as if they are carved in stone like the 10 Commandments given to us by God Himself. Well, we all know that much of mankind, including our fellow citizens, give mostly lip service to obeying the 10 C's, and a goodly portion of us violate all of them with no thought at all of the consequences. It's the same with our Constitutional liberties, which exist ONLY AS WE THE PEOPLE WILL THEM TO EXIST. If we lose the will, we lose the liberties. We're already well down that road, unfortunately, and most of our fellow citizens are blissfully unaware of the fate that some of the modern devils in high places have in mind for us. In actuality, "our" government abandoned the 1787 Constitution long ago, starting in the 1850's, and it's death was hastened by the tyrant, Lincoln, when he decided to invade a newly sovereign nation to his south (sounds modernly familiar, doesn't it?) Our original 1787 Constitution, which established an American Confederacy of powerful and Independent States, has pretty much gone the way of the dodo bird. Only "lip service" is given to it in modern times, for most of "our" fed. govt. is unconstitutional, and is operating solely on the basis of ficticious "revelations" concocted by unscrupulous traitors over the years, hiding under their judicial robes, and taking orders from only God knows whom, and bolstered by armies of blood-sucking lawyers and lobbyists who thrive on the status-quo, like giant ticks hanging off the poor "dog" of the taxpaying citizens of this new American "Empire". I'll tell you what's "radical"--having a new Boston Tea Party (I've done that in Boston--it's a lot of fun)--and dumping the whole lot of the noxious Washington, D.C. crowd into the Potomac. Then we need to elect a new group of patriots who pledge to obey the original 1787 Constitution. To think that ANY modern candidate for President is going to have the guts to really TAKE BACK AMERICA is the height of folly. Most will continue to take orders from their CFR masters. Those one or two brave souls who really respect the old constitution would, if elected, be fought every inch of the way by the entrenched powers in this country and would die of frustration, or lead poisoning. There is only one way, my fellow patriots, to really change our country, I'm afraid, and you know in your hearts what it is.

As I watch the freedoms bestowed on me by the Constitution being given to ILLEGAL ALIENS I may have to vote for Ron Paul as the only viable candidate to MAKE A REAL CHANGE!

He may be the best of the worst.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay.  There was an explosion and I'm downstairs.  I went upstairs to the kitchen to find my boiled egg blown out of the pan and onto the floor and the counter.

My breakfast is now gone.  Was writing this post worth the destruction of my breakfast?  I don't think so.
