IF they are making their decisions from the input of those he/she represent, it is no wonder they are "lost". The people cannot comment on something they know nothing about. First, there is not ample time for the people to get involved. This is quite obviously a planned exercise to prevent citizen involvement. Second, even though the topic is of extreme importance, it seems to never appear in the media. IF it should make it to some out-of-the-way newspaper, It will appear on the back inside page of the Religious Section or Classified Section and in the smallest print available.

This is another indication that government decisions are designed to be left to Washington. It is also a rather deceptive system ....... adding immigration related items to the 2008 Defense Appropriations Bill. Now that's about as reasonable as putting a 13" wheel on your SUV that has 17" wheels ...... what in the world is it doing there. One would never look for look for an Immigration Amendment being tied to the Defense Appropriations Bill. The government is like a doctor ..... when he gives you your physical ....... you wonder why he's smiling and has both hands on the back of your shoulders.

I have called the editors of 6 area newspapers, here in SE Alabama, and asked about this specific amendment on this bill and "supposedly", they had yet to get anything on it. IF, in reallity, they don't have anything ........ then why not??? THIS is Public Knowledge!! To withhold this type of information, intentionally, should be a criminal offense. A delay such as this will only benefit the passage of the amendment. It can prevent any outside input.

THIS particular action, today and in the future, is something we must overthrow. It is an intended violation to and greatly hampers one of our main "supposed" freedoms. This allows the government to sell what they want ..... not neccessarily what the people and the country need and/or want. It is OUR COUNTRY, not just theirs and it is OUR CONSTITUTION, not just theirs. Not only must we protect our country from human polution, we must protect her from a quasi-dictatorship. This is exactly what happens to your lawn when you allow weeds to spring up and go unattended. I think I'll check with "Ortho" and see if they have some "Politician Be Gone".

Long Live America ..... The Land of the ......., The Land of ......, The Land ......

I called Senator Kyl's office in Phoenix to inquire about his position on the Dream Act. I was told that Senator Kyl would not state a yes or no position until the bill comes up for a vote. I find this entirely unacceptable, especially after his support of the recent amnesty mess. I wa also told that he does not support amnesty. If so, then why can he not come out with a definitive position against the Dream Act?? I am worried stiff, and I did not see his name on your list of Senators pro, con, or waiting to be heard from.

A proud American from Oklahoma, "the make it happen State" with the two best Senators, Inhofe and Coburn with a NO vote on the Dream Act. Also, stay tuned for the HB 1804 (Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act of 2007)

authored by Rep. Randy Terrill to take action in November. "Legislative statement of intent that failure to enforce immigration law harms the safety and welfare of citizens and legal residents of Oklahoma, and declaration that the State has a compelling interest in insuring that government agencies and employers fully cooperate in the compliance with and enforcement of federal immigration law." There are 13 sections to this law to be enforced. We have stood our ground and supported Rep. Terrill in this fight for this Bill for a year.

Which prompted me to write this blog and to say, "Kadoos" to Nancy Sivill for uplifting Janna in her support to stay the course and fight the battles ahead. We must not lose hope. We're in this battle until we win. This attitude of "Giveups", tuck tail and run away is exactly the attitude Democrats and Liberals are happy to hear. We must show our patriotism and stay the course. This is the same path the Democrats continue to hound us with day in and day out for Pulling out of Iraq and in their despicable dishonoring rhetoric against a great and honorable leader, Gen.  Petraeus.

Support Grassfire as they'll give us the truth and won't sugar coat it as the News Media would want us to believe how they interpret the world situations.  Thanks to Steve Elliott and his group, we will get the straight picture. Fight in your communities to start informing the citizens to not hire illegals. Turn them in. When you hire an illegal because they're cheap laborers, you're as guilty as the corporations are because you also are their employer.

Keep the fires lit to the feet of your Senators and Reps. in your own States and be relentless in getting your point across.  They don't have permission to think for us!

Grassfire (Steve Elliott), will keep us up to date on crucial issues that must be addressed to our politicians in Washington. Know the candidates for the Presidency and what they stand for and what they will honestly do if elected. Be choosey and not vote for a popular name. Know the man who stands behind his name.

Stay tuned to Grassfire! We are all Great Americans in this Battle and God Bless America!

When this came around before both senators in my state voted for it.  I sent them both an email message that they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to give away America.

Yesterday I phoned both offices and left messages asking them to think long and hard about what they were condoning if they voted to approve this.

Neither name is on this list, so I have no inkling of how they intend to vote this time.  I can only hope that other of their constituents feel as I do and have expressed their displeasure with the vote last time.

Brown from Ohio is for the bill. Here is an email from the commie.

Thank you for your letter in regard to S. 774, the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. The DREAM Act was introduced by Senator Durbin of Illinois, and is currently awaiting consideration in the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. This legislation would award legal immigration status to hard-working students who have grown up in the United States and graduated from high school, but who are prevented from attending an institution of higher education because of their immigration status. The DREAM Act grants these students the opportunity to further their education and their contribution to our society. Should this bill come before the full Senate for a vote, I will support it. Thank you again for your letter.

Sincerely, Sherrod Brown

To answer your question Chuck, they will till we revolt. We need to run a few out off office on a rail and the rest might get the picture. If not, we will need more rails.

They don't want to hear from us, so, just say that any traitor voting for the Dream scam doesn't need to come home again, ever.

" SA 2237. Mr. DURBIN (for himself, Mr. Hagel, Mr. Lugar, Mr. Leahy, Mr. Obama, Mr. Lieberman, Mrs. Feinstein, Mr. Kerry, Mr. Feingold, Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Bayh, Mr. Menendez, Mrs. Murray, Mrs. Boxer, Ms. Cantwell, Mr. Salazar, and Mr. Dodd) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 1585, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2008 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

At the end, add the following:

TITLE XXXIII--DREAM ACT OF 2007 "

Well that answers my question of where Salazar stands.

Sen. Brown Ohio) is listed as 'no position stated' I had contacted his office earlier this week by e-mail and got a reply back that he was we going to vote FOR the Dream Act. I immediatly called his DC office and expressed my opinion of the matter and that I expected him ( Sen. Brown) to follow his constituents wishes..namely to vote NO on amnesty. Ohio has consistently spoken out as NO on amnesty and for these elected officials to disregard our wishes and vote the Pro amnesty way is disgusting...Guess we'll have to wait till he is up for re-election and send him packing back to Aavon , Ohio to retire

 http://mccaskill.senate.gov/

http://bond.senate.gov/

I directed them to vote "NO" on SA 2237 to H.R. 1585

Let me know if anyone would like me to post the actual text

Senator Claire McCaskill will vote NO. By the way, my state, CA, both Democratic Senators are voting Yes. I gave them a piece of my mind (in a nice way, of course).

Vote No on Senator Dole...Brownback is not sure! I told him I would be watching how he voted because he is a Presidential candidate. I've already chalked him off. All of the dem Presidential candidates have already decided to go along with the Nightmare Act.

By the way, the capitol phones are very busy....every staffer puts me on hold and the main switchboard rings a long time. Keep up the good work everybody!

I tried to call Clinton..phones too busy...called Obama's office and asked "if this is such a good bill, why is it tacked on to the end of a military spending bill".  I also said "I am looking at him as a presidential candidate, so why have an unethical method of introducing a bill called  "The Dream Act?"

I think we need to hit the presidential candidates very hard. They are a big part of this problem!

I called everyone I know and gave them our senators washington phone numbers, Conrad and Dorgan of ND., I asked them to call and then pass on the numbers to two of their friends.

My Husband just got through to the National Ed Shultz show and Shultz acted like he didn't know anything about it. Shultz said he would be opposed to this and my husband asked him to read the yes votes over the air. Shultz is a liberal through and through, however, my husband wanted the other side to hear what washington is trying to pull behind our backs.

Our farmers, mostly the ones in the valley, have bought Conrad and Dorgan but the average North Dakotan is absolutely against amnesty.
