The LA Times and New York Times continue to spin a tale that the majority of Americans support illegal immigrant assimilation with poles they conducted. Only continued efforts to prove them wrong will have any chance of derailing the current Bush driven effort.

If this thing ever does die Grassfire needs to consider pressing our elected officials to enforce current immigration law and border security including penalties for employers and building the fence.

Changing leislators that ignore  and misrepresent voters should also be in order.

It is a good thought but unfortunately with the apathy of the average American it will never happen. When the President you elected refuses to listen and continues to destroy the country with his open border policy, what is left? Take up arms? This government will NEVER build a fence or close the border. That is obvious and the American people will be hood winked into believing otherwise.

How could Bush possibly be interested in Americans, when he has refused to pardon the two border patrol agents that DID THEIR JOBS AS THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO DO? What a joke we have sitting in the oval office. Cannot remember any other time, in my lifetime anyway, that America has been in such trouble. An illegal war, way over 3,000 troops killed, and counting, illegal entry into America out of control, and of course the first biggest thing, Bush being elected not once, but twice, illegally. What a mess, wonder if we will ever see the light.

Yell    I wonder what Mr. Bush has offered to the Mexican hordes this time after flooding over our borders en masse?  There is an undercurrent abound that grassroot AMERICANS aren't aware of.
Steve Elliott, et al, keeps us posted on some of the rhetoric since he is closer to it in DC than most of us.  What does it take to open people's eyes in our country? Most, if any, I happen to speak to about this just look the other way and shrug it off like "They're not on MY doorstep"  Remember the British before the American Revolution who were quartered in people's homes, fed and watered whether wanted or not?  Read your history.
Not to mention the debacle and sad plight of innocent young boys being carried back home in boxes.............

Hi Choir,

Just thought I'd preach a little more . The opposition has said that most want amnesty and that people like Lou Dobbs are just stirring up muck . God , I feel like the minority , that is , until I get out amongst the masses and listen to their thoughts . Boy is it reassuring to find that all of the people I talk to are disgusted with the status quo of not only the amnesty situation but politicians in general . McCain once said that walking about in Baghdad was like a walk in the park . Welllll, the walk about in Baghdad soon will seem like a walk in the park compared to him showing his face on the streets of the United States of America! That is, unless we start to look like all of the other countries in the world ( to include Mexico ) where armed militia is walking about trying to protect the few who are in control . Someone mentioned how we were starting to be just like Venezuela on another issue of Fire Society , in that their leader has total control of the media now . Is that here now or just next on the agenda ? GW Bush is very adamant about both getting his way and showing US citizens just who is boss . Same tactics as Mao , just different economical policies . Basically , we are headed back into voluntary servitude if he has his way and if we don't like it he and his will import enough warm bodies to fill the jobs . I don't believe that anyone should get something for nothing , but likewise I don't think the masses should get nothing for something ! Notice that most of the support comes from either states which can't be affected or from states which stand to benefit ? Another civil war is brewing right here at home and that scares me more than a busload of Islamic terrorists .

Vote Responsibly and if you don't vote don't complain around me .

It is time to be heard in a big way we need to moblize in the same manner as the illegals did with massive ralleys and a huge show of force. We should be prepared to make a commitment and to make our voices heard. The roar needs to come from the streets in every capital in this country. A million person march on washington DC is long over do. The Poles, Czech's, Romanians, Russians, Bulgarians, and Hungarians all have had the guts to stand up to there governments it's time we did the same we need to organize

It is time to watch the movies "Patriot" and "Red Dawn" again. They say it all. Time to get ready for another VERY UN-CIVILIZED WAR   that could turn into a world war. We have already  lost another generation of our best young people fighting in the middle East. What more could Bush want or ask for?????? Less people to oppose him by military force !!!! That is why this site is so important right now. He has turned traitor and sold out his own country.Time to dust off the guns, hatchets, and review the survival books to be prepared for a very dim future and a terrible fight to salvage what is left of our once great country.

Eighth generation once proud American now hopping mad at the present government leaders that are supposed to be working for us, the legal citizens.

Apathy of the average American is not the problem. The problem is the average American believes what they are told. They are like a herd of sheep, following what is popular at the time.We as a nation need to educate some common sense as well as inteligence into our nations voting public and our children.

When the RNC sent me their silly survey asking for a donation, one of the questions was, "Is it important for the Republicans to regain the House+Senate?" I thought, "What difference does it make?" I threw away the survey and mailed them one thing. A bumper sticker that reads, "WHERE's THE FENCE?" I encourage everyone to do the same.

I spoke with Richard Durbin's office again yesterday, and was curtly reminded by a staffer that the dictionary displays amnesty as forgiveness, and when the social security issue was raised he informed me that only applied to those who paid into the fund! I suggested that he refer to the same book and look at scam, deceit, and prevaricate, also the the Heritage Foundation report that says that for every household of illegal immigrants there is a net cost to the taxpayers of just under $24,000 . Needless to say the conversation went downhill from there, can't believe the absolute obstinance and self aggrandizing stance of these reigning pols and their staffs.

How about a "Boston Tea Party"? These senators do not represent the American Citizen tax payers. How about "No taxation without representation" and parlay that into a Boston Tea Party for maximum PR?

Racoonpossum: The American people are against this bill and if the politicians pass it then it will be against the wishes of all of us. In effect ( treason ) and that gives us the right to take back that what is ours from a foreign government. If that means taking up arms so be it! We will and must continue to demand no amnesty but beyond that we must march if need be on Washington and take back our country. This my friends is a deadly serious effort to destroy our country and our way of life.

14 Reasons to Deport Illegal Aliens...

1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each
year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77

2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such
as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.
http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school
education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of
English! http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born
children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare &
social services by the American taxpayers.
http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html

9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by
the illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html>

10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two
and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their
children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the United
States . http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html

11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that
crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from
Terrorist Countries . Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin
and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border. Homeland
Security Report:
http://tinyurl.com/t9sht

12. The National Policy Institute, "estimated that the total cost of mass
deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of
between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period."
http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/pdf/deportation.pdf

13. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to
their countries of origin. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm

14. "The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes
Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States ".
http://www.drdsk.com/articles.html#Illegals

So using the LOWEST estimates, the annual cost OF ILLEGAL ALIENS is $338.3
BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! So if deporting them costs between $206 and $230
BILLION DOLLARS, Get rid of em', We'll be ahead after the 1st year!!!

Americans need to wake up!

I am getting a little sick and tired of trying to locate senator Lugar from Indiana. I cannot reach him by phone or E-mail or fax.He may be chicken to show his face. I don't know how he was elected senator of Indiana anyhow.
