Flake-Gutierrez Amnesty Bill In-Depth Analysis

If It Looks Like Amnesty, And Smells Like Amnesty, It's Amnesty! Grassfire is providing this in-depth analysis of the Flake-Gutierrez "Comprehensive" immigration reform bill -- essentially a re-working of the 2006 amnesty bill. We are expecting a similar bill in the Senate sponsored by Teddy Kennedy. Make no mistake -- this is an amnesty bill through and through. And much worse. This bill actually creates a "common security perimeter" for the U.S., Canada and Mexico -- part of the master ...

This bill has more holes in it than a piece of swiss cheese! The drain on social services alone could bankrupt us. It is a slap in the face to legal immigrants and a knife in the back to those who will lose their jobs to "new" (cheap) labor.

Why is it that we enforce our immigration laws when Haitians try to illegally enter our country in Florida, yet we allow Mexicans free access? The immigration laws should apply to all illegal immigrants! It is time for congress and the President to enforce our existing laws instead of making up new laws for Mexicans only!!!!!

FOlks, these are only the ones that we find out about. Take a look at the AGJOBS bill, for example. Also the senate bill last year had tentacles into God-knows how many other bills: "Change line 31 of paragraph 6 of Senate Bill 999 or certain law, to read XXXXX instead of NNNNNN." Our duly elected representatives are thicker than thieves!

Gutierrez is a complete scumbag. I remember him telling his illegals/supporters during the Chicago demonstrations, not to carry Mexican flags, but American flags, and he said it such a way, with a snide grin and tone, that it was clear he was saying, "Hey, get it, guys? We have to pretend to the gringos so we can get our way, and we can laugh behind their backs, because we know

Gutierrez is a total scumbag. I remember him telling his illegals/supporters during the Chicago demonstrations, not to carry Mexican flags, but American flags, and he said it in such a way, with a snide grin and tone, that it was clear he was saying, "Hey, get it, guys? Let's pretend tomorrow to the gringos so we can get our way, and we can laugh behind their backs, because we know our true agenda!" This Bill is complete trash, and will effectively end this country. The cesspool that already is, will become something the likes of which we can't even imagine. This rotten Administration and Congress is hell-bent on opening these borders, giving all middle-class jobs to foreigners, providing cheap labor for big business interests, and destroying all heritage, sovereignty and culture that America was based on. These are very, very dark days, and will only become far worse. When the true financial costs and impact of "comprehensive immigration" really hit, many of us will (1) never get Social Security, which will be drained dry; (2) watch our already outrageous property and other taxes shoot to unheard of levels; (3) our standard of living and quality of life sink to the lowest levels seen in the history of this country; (4) the real US citizens become the minority; (5) the very fabric of American society destroyed and turned into a transplanted Northern Mexico. If you don't believe it, visit Los Angeles, which has the 2nd highest population of Mexicans of any city in the WORLD. The ONLY SOLUTION and CHANCE this country has is a massive backlash and uprising on a grassroots level from the American people. Tragically, I see little chance of this happening, because of the ignorance and complacency of the average American. If that be the case; we are doomed, and this is the end of the USA. The Latinos know this, and they are pressing ahead to make it happen -- have NO doubt of this.

I have an idea I don't know if it is doable because I am basicly limited on knowledge of how our system works. It came to me this morning. Assuming the 12 to 20 million illegals in America would agree to go back to Mexico IF the American armed forces went with them and President Bush contacted the Mexican government and told them this and that our troops were coming into Mexico to help the Mexican people establish a democracy and a constitution just like America's. Can we do this ? We are already on foriegn soil for the umpteenth time helping people establish democracy. Also out of the estimated sheer number of 12 to 20 million illegals already here who can say for sure that some of them are not Mexican's but suicide bombers. I e-mailed my congressman Mel Martinez, Senator Bill Nelson and Adam Putnam this morning with this sugesstion. So far only Putnams Office has replied and it was the usual S.O.S. What do you all think ?

I have to agree with PLBrittain. We head the Haitians off before they even get to Florida and send em packing. Why should the Mexican's be any different? It is all part of Bush's plan for North America to become one big society with NO borders!!! In other words my friends, Bush is a traitor. I could care less that he has a bleeding heart for these people! What about the AMERICAN born people that can bareley make it by or afford health care? If you are white I can promise you it doesn't matter how poor you are, you are not going to get much if any assistance from the government. But we will hand out freaking housing, food stamps, and health care to those who ARE NOT American born. To top it off they are criminals, yes, I said it. They broke the law to get here!! When are we going to wake up and see that our Nation is getting sold down the river???? And what the hell are we going to do about it? The time for talk is almost over, it is going to take a revolution to put an end to this no-sense!

This is a travesty of justice and a major back-stab to all the generations of Americans who have shouldered the burden of taxes and Social Security for many, many generations. What has happened to logic and common sense? Why are we giving our own livelyhood away to those who have not earned it? The US Government is mostly interested in securing votes, not doing what Americans, who voted them into office, want them to do. We as American citizens must wake up and smell the corruption that's rampant! Seems no one can actually tell the truth any longer. The amount of lies makes it hard to understand much of anything coming from Washington. I am really tired of seeing all my HARD-EARNED tax dollars being spent in such a foolish manner. Let's start thinking about how to take care of those who actually pay taxes, instaed of giving that money to those who don't!! Politicians are blind with power and greed. Let us all pray they wake up soon and start working for America instead of special interests and foreign entities. ...tb

You know when they try to make anew bill, it is always so far to the left and so far to the right that it has no true interpertation. Along with this total mass of confussion there are so many leeches hanging on as favors for some senator or representative that does'nt even know what the original bill is that it looses it's meaning. How about this when you make an amnesty bill, make it simple. It doesn't take 500 pages to say NO AMNESTY, TRESPASSERS "WILL" BE SHOT ON SIGHT: NO QUESTIONS AND NO EXCEPTIONS.  Also these people that own land that joins the Mexican border should have the right to post the same NO TRESPASSING SIGN AND ALLOWED TO ENFORCE IT.  KEEP IT SIMPLE SO IT WON'T BE MISUNDERSTOOD. Open your eyes please, this is not a republican or democratic run country as many misinformed women want you to think; THIS IS THE UNITED, I REPEAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE OFFICAL LANGUAGE IS ENGLISH.   habla

THE PRESEDENT AND ALL OF CONGRESS SWORE TO ENFORCE THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES WHEN ELECTED,WHY DON'T WE IMPEACH THE LOT OF THEM ? THE NEW WAVE LAW ENFORCEMENT OF CHANGING THE LAWS TO FIT WHAT THE RICH AND POWERFUL DESIRE MAKE ME MAD AS HELL.THE MEXICANS IN SAN DIEGO SCHOOLS LIKE LA SCHOOLS HAVE LITTLE DESIRE TO LEARN ANY OF THE BASIC NEEDS OF EDUCATION,DESRUCTION OF CLASSES AND TAGGING THE TOOLS PUT THERE TO LEARN WITH IS THERE SPECIALTY. FINE EMPLOYERS,CUT OFF BENIFITS OF ALL ILLEGALS AND THE FAMILIES OF THE INVADERS FROM MEXICO AND THEY WILL LEAVE SOON ENOUGH. MEXICANS HAVE NOT COME TO BE U.S CITIZENS AND PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF AMERICAN SOCIETY THEY THINK WE ARE AN EASY MARK AND THEY ARE RIGHT AT THE PRESENT TIME. WITH THE PRESIDENT GIVING OUR COUNTRY UP TO ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT WHILE HE PRETENDS TO BE FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY IS FALSEHOOD OF THE LARGEST DEGREE.

I am totally disappointed in President Bush and his ideas on immigration. This is not a slap in the face of the Republican Party alone; it is a slap in the face of all true Americans. I haven't talked with one person here in Deep South Texas that agrees to allow amnesty to any ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

What is going to happen when the ex-president Bush has his ranch in Texas overrun by illegals. How is he going to control the situation? Use secret service men? There is something terribly wrong with giving in to Mexico, who wants to drain us dry. Do they have a devastating bomb or some nuclear weapon that we are afraid of? We only need to have the current laws enforced, really enforced, to get this under control. To most of us that is a number one priority and we are gnashing our teeth because it is being blatently ignored. I am afraid the populace is going to get very beligerent over this. We are tired of the government being run by the government and not the people.

Im begining to feel as if the American people have lost the power to influence  our bloated government. The courts are out of control. Our elected officials seem to do what ever they want, in total disreguard to our constitution. I am so disgusted with the lot of them!!.At every turn common sence and respect for the law is tossed to the side. What has happened to this great country?

It is a good idea but this is only a way for our government to get more taxes to line thier pockets with. Using our tax dollars even if we don`t agree. It`s hard enough for alot of americans to find decent paying jobs now much less having to settle for less because of tooooooo many non-americans and our government saying more the merrier.Heck I`m only 36 and without this crap going on if I live long enough to get social security there ain`t going to be none.Much less giving it to illegals made legal by our mexican loving government who should not be telling us what to do.We as AMERICANS do have a say but we need to stand together as one.Take a stand no matter what and take our government and country back.

There is no common sense in this government. They don't GET IT! Nor do they really care. Nearly all Senators and Congressmen live in upper-class neighborhoods that shield them from the third-world cesspool their legislation, or lack of, has turned this country into. They do not represent the citizens. They represent: (1) A twisted left-wing, radical agenda, such as Ted Kennedy's, that is based on the radical, socialist, anti-American ideology that permeates our universities throughout the country. The majority of students at every junior college in the SUBURBAN Chicago area are minority. It looks like you are in another country. The majority of conversations spoken on campus are in languages other than English. Why is this so? Because of all the student Visas and illegals that are allowed to study at these schools at your and my expense. My rotten Senators, Durbin & Obama, are sponsors of the DREAM Act, that will expand this further. Why don't we just give this country away to the whole world? We practically do right now. (2) This Congress & Administration further represent and even fund with your tax dollars: Radical Hispanic lobbyist groups, such as La Raza; the Catholic Church; the powerful National Teachers Assn; powerful corporations looking for cheap labor; the pro-amnesty Chamber of Commerce; and the government of Mexico!!! Our government reeks of filthy connections, associations and hand-washings. I have read story upon story of Americans all over this country who see on a daily basis how there land is being defiled, used, and overtaken by illegals. We are disrespected, laughed at, defied and threatened. If you want to see some shocking footage, go to YOUTUBE.COM, search for Illegal Immigration, and watch some of the immigration marches from last year. Be sure to watch the Los Angeles one. You will see downtown LA looking like a city in Mexico, with police keeping Mexicans from violently attacking those Americans who were protesting against illegal immigration. At that march, and at many others, Americans who were against illegal immigration were violently physically assaulted and injured, and, in many of these cases, no charges were brought against the immigrants who attacked them. This gets scarier and scarier the more you delve into it. California teachers who tell how they are spit at, laughed at, assaulted, by immigrant students who refuse to learn, and simply create a tremendous financial and resource burden upon school districts in nearly every state of the union. The American citizen needs to get out of his easy chair and get his voice heard in every way possible. Call, fax, write your Congressmen over and over again on every piece of legislation. Educate your friends and relatives. Try to get people involved. That is our only hope.

Can't believe how our elected officials disreguard everything that their constituents say and do "what is good for us" stupid working people. "Taxation without representation" is what we have here...our ancestors knew how to deal with that!

Burn the town and rape the people, not necessarily in that order.

a good start to bring our high living congress in line. would be to make them pay into social security like the rest of us and base their salaries more to todays standards. Quit giving them all the benifits we will never see......if they are going to represent us then live more like us...JerryHawk
