There are two problems which concern me:

1. The enemy is not correctly identified: Islam, which declared perpetual war on all non-believers in 633. To see the declarations of war, use your favorite search engine to find the following items: 8:39, 9:29 & Bukhari4.52.196 . You will find them at USC-MSA, in the Compendium of Islamic Texts.
   


2. Victory is undefined. President Bush's declared intention to render Iraq free & democratic as an example for other Islamic nations to emulate, is an impossibility so long as a majority of Iraquis remain slaves of Allah. I would define victory in this battle as the complete & permanent removal of Iraq from the set of State Sponsors of Terror.

How dare he or any other elected official, give aid and comfort to our enemy! that is what happens when left leaning liberals and RINOs spout apeasement and refust to give the military what they need to defend themselves and win the war in Iraq. For my part, we could drop a bomb on the whole Middle East and solve the terrorist problems but that would be a bit extreme. We MUST find a way to produce alternative fuels so that we can marginalize the muslim threat by cutting off their lucrative stipend checks given to them out of the oil production in their miserable countries. They want our money but want to destroy our way of life! Idiots don't realize that if they destroy the U.S., Great Britian and the rest of the European countries that there will be no demand for their oil production and they will have to learn how to work instead of being on the "oil profits dole". Since they don't learn much of anything except hate and how to kill in their schools the whole world, under their control, would be brought down to the Middle East way of life, dusty huts, high infant mortality and most of all, a starving population because without industry, there would be no one to pay for the oil production! that is why that so called civilization crashed back into the desert years ago. they killed or converted (BY THE SWORD) everyone who had skills and knowledge and that left only the idiots in charge. they've learned killing, terror tactics and manipulation but little else in the last two thousand years.

Politics is marketing: find out what the customers want and promise to deliver it, regardless of merits or consequences.

 

Energy is required to do useful work.  When a load must be moved against gravity or friction, energy is required.  Whether that energy comes from fossil fules, hydrogen, wind, solar or biomass there are associated problems of production, storage, transportation, delivery and safety.

Coal produces more pollution than properly refine oil and is inconvenient to handle.  How would you start a steam engine powered by coal in sub zero weather? How long would you wait to develop a full head of steam?

 

Hydrogen production is energy intensive and dangerous to store and transfer. 

Propane & methane have significantly fewer BTUH/unit volume than gasoline and are more dangerous to store, transport and transfer. The equipment required to utilize them in an ICE is more expensive as well.

 

We need to quit probing about the periphery of the problem and face it directly: the existence of a predatory institution known as Islam which seeks to conquer and subjugate the entire world.  It ain't about to stop after 1375 years, no matter what we do.  

In a war of ideology, we need to publish and promote our idea set: the values of the Enlightenment.  We need to compare and contrast them to the Feudalistic value system of Islam.  The Republican Party can't even resist the siren song of Universal Health Care, instead it cries "Me too!" and offers 'Crat lite.    Our President mischaracterizes our enemy as a "great religion of peace".  We can't win that way!!! 

Yes we must win and any attempt to pull out early will only do more damage than good. We need to finish the task at hand. I think if we pulled out now it would be disasterous.

I used to think that we had to "win" but now realize you cant without turning the whole area to dust. 

Islam has a problem that we must understand!  Whereas Christianity has a person of peace to turn to for salvation, Islam has only a madman (Muhammed) telling people that God wants you to kill for him.  That is their entrance to paradise.  I Have read the Koran and it is  basically a disjointed bunch of rantings and of course the bottom line of money.  It is full of inaccuracies, and it only takes one to make it a false religion.  God would not make mistakes.  Could be that there are no true religions, at least not yet.

You have Islam pegged, but there is more to the problem. President Bush's definition of victory is unattainable.  Muslims don't want peace, neither do they want liberty or democracy. If they want those values, they ain't Muslims, they are apostates.

     We can not defeat Islam militarily without  causing the entire Ummah Islamiyya to assume room temperature.  If we ain't meaner, tougher & more persistant than they are, we are doomed to be defeated; eventually dominated, subjugated & enslaved at best. 

    Either we resolve ourselves to the fact that our civilization is superior, theirs is inferior and develop a determination to prevail at all costs or we will lose.  We have a difficult choice to make.

1. Use every weapon in our arsenal to exterminate Islam.
   


2. Surrender, submit and pay tribute; keep paying forever or until they decide to kill us on a whim.


3. Let them pick us off a few at a time until they finally make a lucky strike.


4. Combine  ideological & military resistance to Islam.  Tell the world what is right with western civilization & wrong with Islam while  concentrating our military efforts on the most recalcitrant enemy forces.

We must win in Iraq, however it is going to be almost impossible, even the Iraqis are our enemy they are woking against our troops at every turn.

The whole place needs to be leveled, then start over.

We can not win the war on Islam.

We refuse to fight it as an all out war. Until we decide that all Islamic societies are are our enemies and we treat them as such we can not hope to win.

Systematic bombing of all Islamic capitals and strongholds will send a message to these people we mean business and plan on winning.

Destroying many of the Islamic paradises they have built, bombing in and around Mecca will clearly make them sit up and take notice.

But alas, we have not the resolve to fight this enemy, Liberalism has sapped our resolve and doomed us to the dust bin of history.

Probably too late now.  I noted an article in today's paper that we will be taking in thousands of "refugees" from Iraq displaced by  the "war".  Probably 10% or more will be killing us in a few years.  Will blend into the Islamic comm. and after nursing the resentment that they see brought them here, will retaliate.  Up till then of course we will support them.

Another solution short of systematic bombing that I would enact.

Let it be known to all that the entire family of Johnny Jihad will be eliminated when we are able to trace it.  Might change the talk around the breakfast table.  At the very least we wont have to see their smug videos.  If the family truly believes in martyrdom they should welcome the opportunity.

Draconian measures will not be supported until the general public is fully informed and activated.  Government, media & the educational system are part of the problem, not part of the solution. Telling your neighbors what Islam is and what Islam is mandated to do to them is up to you.  If you won't do it, who will?

My son is currently active duty military, he says that one of our most important goals for Victory in Iraq, must be Free Public Schools, open to all religions, in which the hatred currently taught in the Islamist Schools, (Getting suicide belts and weapons caches out of them is also important.) cannot find a haven, in the young minds of Iraqi children, along with the type education, which will empower them to have a good future outlook for their nation. He says that to achieve this truly will probably take a generation of coming out of these school, but building and opening them with teachers who espouse grasp these goals will be a good 1st start.
Remember how long we were in Europe, and are still in Haiti, and what of Bosnia, and Somalia, to name a few, (Or shoould I keep going?)(S. Korea? Japan? Taiwan?)

Lets stop procecuting our soldiers for killing the enemy ,get that Mr Bush if your gona send them over there dont just send them to be targets ,let them blow hell outa those rag heads and get this over and show them what AMERICA can do!

I realize that these harsh measures will not be taken.  It just shows the true lack of purpose.  If someone actually asked , it would work.  I have had enough of losing our soldiers in this mess and would impeach Bush were it in my power.  The same man I  voted for twice! Get out of their way and encourage them to kill each other.  Let it spread.  The more they are occupied with each other, the less time for us,  Take over the oil fields.  Give them all the camels they need and let them return to the stone age.

If we don't stand up for right, who will? In all the old superhero stories or the good old right against wrong stories that we grew up on did the good guy ask for permission to stnad up for the right thing? We have the strength, the weaponry and the heart to fight. I will refer to one of my favorite quotes, "No greater love has any man than this, that he lays down his life for a friend". If a report were to be made of the entire country of Iraq, one would see that it is only in the Baghdad region were all of this religious sectarian violence is occuring. The rest of the country is trying to rebuild itself based on its Constitution. They are trying to educate all of their citizens. While we are shouting "win the war in Iraq" they are cleverly building their nasty little embedded colonies here in the good old United States of America. I say let's take the money and get our house cleaned up and secured over here or the war will be here before we can blink. Victory is difficult to define when dealing with such a conglomeration of crazy Babylonian idiots. They were crazy and out of control BC and they have changed not one bit. I am far from being a politically correct sheep and I resent the fact that political correctness is shoved down our throats. We are now labeled for everything if we are not members of the far left. If we disagree and abhor the lifestyles of the gay society, and resent their lifestyles being shoved down our throats, we are homophobes and are scolded, scorned and punished for it. If we resist the massive infiltration of Islamists who will render us slaughtered eventually in time, we are labeled racists and profilers. We really have to hold up our middle digits, mentally, and get real with the invasions!

My son is in Iraq!!!! Let them finish their mission. With all the enemy within those of us in the States will have to take care of them, while many of our soldiers takes care of it over there.

If we turn tail and run again, how will the rest of the world see us? We are in a war for survival. The extremeists aren't going to stop.......quit.........turn and run. All they want is the complete destruction of anyone who doesn't believe what they do........that's allot of people. Imagine a world under their rule.....That's what their goal is. Iraq is the tip of the iceberg. We already won the war in Iraq, we are now fighting Iran and whoever else wants to sneak in and cause trouble. Divide & conquer is one of their methods, along with terrorism. The generation before us fought two horrific empires to the finish.  They knew what was up, and they fought all out to prevent it.  

 

In this case, very few of our contemporaries know what's up. They do not understand that we are confronted by an implacable foe whose intention is total conquest & subjugation; that the enemy has the will to enslave or kill us.

 

They don't understand what motivates the enemy: a demonic combination of perceived divine mandate and  lust for wealth and sex.  Our mass media, educational system and elected leaders are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

 

Our task is to learn as much as we can about the enemy and teach others, motivating them to become activists.  When a sustainable majority is wise to the threat posed by Islam, then we can elect honest leadership and effectively prosecute the war.

 

In the matter of moral equivalence: Malicious Malarkey!!!!  When they are trying to impose genocide on us, exterminating them is not a vice, its a virtue.  The aggressor and defender are not morally equivalent.
