Did Hillary Lie About the Border Fence Plan?

In the February 22, primary debate in Austin, Texas Senator Clinton made her convictions clear. Clinton called the Border Fence “absurd” and falsely accused the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) of not listening to the locals and "cuting off" part of the University of Texas-Brownsville Campus.

Clinton remarked, “I think when both of us voted for this, we were voting for the possibility that where it was appropriate and made sense, it would be considered. But as with so much, the Bush Administration has gone off the deep end, and they are unfortunately coming up with a plan that I think is counterproductive." See Transcript

Taking these accusations to task, I called the Department of Homeland Security and uncovered the truth concerning the University of Texas-Brownsville situation.

After speaking with a DHS agent, I was enlightened by the truth. Which is that the DHS adopted plan does not cut the campus in half. The adopted plan runs along the Rio Grande River and it does not separate and building on campus. However, the plan does involve the back nine of a golf course. But much like a private country club, the golf course is gated and run by the city.

The truth of the matter is that the DHS has been working with the locals and accommodating their needs from the beginning. DHS actually presented two plans simultaneously to the university. One plan did cut out part of the campus and separate a distant building from the main campus. However, the second plan (which was adopted) does not cut out the building and only involves the golf course.

According to the DHS official the university’s and DHS’s agreement was already in place when Hillary the debate took place. So this leads me to ponder the question…Did Hillary lie about the border fence issue to score political points or was she really that ignorant of the issue?

One wonders why Hillary was still complaining weeks after the issue had been resolved by the DHS and after she had personally visited the school and spoken with its president. The University of Texas website and other news articles confirm that the alternate plan was available to the public long before her statements were made.

It appears, the Sen. Clinton has told another half-truth or white lie, if you will. She has proven time and time again that to score political points she will say what is politically expedient, even if it is not true. Yet again Hillary Clinton is being a Clinton.

The Clintons are known world wide for their lies and disception. That is certainly nothing new. What is new is the constant debate over the borders and the very sneaky North American Union dealings as well as the high speed highway from Mexico to Canada. It is really difficult to sort anything resenbling the truth from the chaff. I have send the following suggested border protection idea to al members of Congress and the President. Can you imagine how many answers I received?

Our Outline of the Comprehensive Immigration Bill That America Needs

1. Close down the borders TIGHT! One fence across the complete Southern border that is 12 feet tall with razor wire on the top. A second fence that is 12 feet high that is topped with high voltage wire. The fence closest to Mexico must be designed so that an explosion takes place if anyone tries to dig under it.

2. Deport ALL illegal aliens - first! Before any other items (except #1) are instituted. (One and two should be implemented simultaneously).

3. Both Items 1 & 2 in the bill, are fully funded - immediately upon passage of the bill.

4. AFTER 1-3 ARE ACCOMPLISHED we can begin to enforce immigration laws which have been on the books for many, many years.

5. ALL remaining items in the bill are fully funded - immediately upon completion of Items 1 - 4!

6. All previous immigration bills (after 1985) will be repealed pursuant to the new bill and enforcement shall be as in the immigration bills before 1985.

7. Allow a reasonable number of immigrants to apply for full citizenship each year. That means the quota system as in the past and that quota for the Southern border should be no more than 10,000 individuals.

8. The immigrants must prove they have the capabilities we want in this Country. They have skills, have a job already, meet the necessary goals for attending our colleges or are children of applicants. Absolutely no 'extended family' provisions unless they meet the requirements in Item 7, above. A detailed expansion of Amendment 14 to our Constitution is required to exclude the 'extended family' and automatic citizenship to illegal children born of illegal parents.

9. A guest worker program can be implemented but EVERY person who applies and is accepted, is tracked and returned to their homeland (immediately) when their worker visa has expired. The temporary worker can re-apply, if necessary, so that his/her paper work can be processed in time to allow continued work with no break.

10. No 'guest worker' shall be allowed to replace any American citizen already working in that job. Employers must show the need for additional workers, show that they have advertised for American workers, and show that qualified American personnel have not applied for the jobs.

11. Employers who do not abide by the rules in this legislation and hire illegal aliens will be fined and jailed. These cases will be publicized to deter others from the same fate.

12. ALL aliens will be entered into a national data base available to ALL police agencies and homeland security agencies in the Country. The data base will track the movements of all immigrants! Keep special tabs on Student Visas, college professors - and driver's licenses they are issued.

13. After 1-8 are implemented employers who hire illegal aliens must be arrested and fined. Fines should be established at $1,000 a day per illegal employee beginning retroactively to the first day of employment. Added comment - Employers who have previously (before passage of this bill) hired illegals should not be held responsible since the federal government put them in that situation by allowing illegal entry in the first place.

14. Border Patrol Agents will be provided the same protection against legal prosecution as local police or FBI agents. We can no longer have liberal DAs imprisoning our border patrol agents who do their job!

15. No 'sanctuary' towns or cities will be allowed and the ACLU will be fined if they file any suit having to do with the 'rights' of illegal aliens (Illegal aliens have no rights)!

16. All and any policing entity in the Country shall be allowed to arrest suspected illegals and enforce the laws enumerated in this bill.

17. Clean out jails of arrested illegals and send them back to their home country. Dire consequences will be applied if they are ever found returning to this Country (legally or otherwise).

18. Adequate publicity must be provided by the Government so that all employers and the public understand how the law works and what the intent is so that prospective employers, colleges, and the citizens are not 'sand bagged.'

19. Implementation of policies such as 1-17 must be applied to the northern border and sea ports, as well.

Its about time our leaders returned to 'The rule of Law' not only on the borders but in our court system. We should implore the writers of the bill to use the Keep It Simple, Stupid (KISS) principle! We certainly can write a bill in less than 340 pages!
