Dear Grassfire team,
Thank you all so much for the check I received. Since we’ve basically lost everything, it is a big lift for us. Thank you.
I feel bad for not posting recently on the blog, but unfortunately nothing has really changed on our end. Jose is still in seclusion, and I still haven't been able to see him. I really don't know when I'll be able to see him again. This is especially hard since our middle child is going through separation anxiety attacks. It is so bad that I can't take a shower with out him freaking out. I would really like to see him soon but, until my children get cleared from they're therapist, traveling to Ohio to visit their father is not an option that I have.
Before Jose turned himself in, he and I talked about the children and we both promised each other that no matter what happens our children must come first. So as badly as I want to see my hubby, I must take care of our children first.
There is good news. I get his letters everyday, and still get a glimpse of his sense of humor and sarcasm which I miss so much. Of course, there are those15-minute phone calls he gets to make once a month!
So far he's only had two visitors--my sister and brother in law. They told me that he looked thinner, but was still his usual funny self. They added that he’s turning into quite the chatter box. He'll be getting another visit soon from our friend Andy, who by the way Jose has really been looking forward to seeing. I can also report that the prison staff has been treating him with respect and dignity. He has no complaints about anybody at the facility and says everyone is very professional. He did want me to make sure I tell everyone that. He also wanted everyone to now how grateful he is for all the continuing support, donations, and prayers.
Thank you again for your blessings to our family. Patty |
