Hello everyone,

Many people want to know how my husband, "Nacho" is doing.... I am saddened to inform everyone that I have not talked to my husband since the 12th of February!

Since he is in Special Housing Unit (SHU) he is only allowed one call every
30 days for just 15 minutes! This has been so hard to accept. On the day I went to see him he was able to make a 15 minute call to my children as I was headed back from Mississippi.  My kids took that opportunity to finally sing Happy Birthday to him, but in the middle of singing, the phone disconnected--and we haven't heard from him since.

You know I don't quite understand. ... If he is in the SHU for his protection, why must he suffer the same as those who were put in there for violations while in general population. I am happy to report though that he finally has full motion in his arm that was severely injured during his assault. Just to let you all know, I understand an investigation is still being conducted and hopefully he will be moved to a safer area.

But please know that they have him in a safe place now, but it is still hard due to the communication restrictions regarding the phone, and of course visitation--which is only 1 hour on weekend days.  Visitation is all but impossible for me because the cost is so high. Airfare alone for my one trip was $1,900.00. It is a financial challenge to visit.

I will write more tomorrow.

Again, I appreciate your great support!

-Monica

Dear Monica,

I am thrilled to learn that you are holding it together so well despite such hardship. When the truth finally comes out, and the real "criminals" in this case are uncovered (Sutton being one of them) they should serve time in the general population where your husband was brutally beaten.

Your story is one of courage and perserverance, and you should be commended. Thank you for being such a profound inspiration to all who know your story.

PS: What kind of bike do you ride. I can't imagine you riding a crotch rocket like the one in the picture?

Dear Monica...I'm happy to hear Nacho is safe and healing. Pleare reassure him that there are thousands of us that think of him daily. There are so many people angry about this whole fiasco, that I cannot see him being there much longer. So much information has now surfaced regarding the mishandeling of this case and people want him out of prison. From what I see on the news every day, it's becomming more and more compelling to the point where I don't think any judge would disagree with letting both agents out of prison. Keep the faith! Sincerely, Louis and Liane Zemel
