Dear Mr. Weldon,

I hope this letter finds you well. I would like to refer you to some sections of the Constitution that I would like your opinion on as to why these measures aren't being considered. Gouverneur Morris, who actually put the quill to parchment, was nominated by his peers to write the Constitution in the clearest and most concise English of the time. Where your letter to me uses bold type to "make a point", and I capitalize entire words, Morris uses capital letters at the beginning of words "to make his". Keeping that in mind, consider this: Article 1, section 8 states, "The Congress shall have the power, among other things, To provide for the calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurections, and repel Invasions, To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of Them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the States, respectively, the Appoinment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline presented by Congress."

Section 10, of Article 1, states, among other things, "No State shall without the consent of Congress, engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit delay."

Article 4, Section 4 states, "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican form of Government, and shall protect each of them, against Invasion, and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive(when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.

Interpretations? You guys could activate the Militias, that we both know exist, and deploy them to secure the southern border. With the National Guard being attacked, border agents and State Police being fired upon, and the use of rocks, bottles, and Molitov cocktails, the INVASION comes under the domain of AN ARMED INVASION!!

These articles also elude to the fact that each individual state can defend itself if the Government can't or won't. If nothing else, the border situation falls under the domain of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Last, but far from least, the SECOND AMENDMENT guarantees a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the SECURITY OF A FREE STATE, and the right of the People to keep and bear arms. This was to insure that We, the People could challenge the new government and act as our fore-fathers did to insure their own independence from a government that didn't have their best interests at heart.

There are more portions of the Constitutioin that are being ignored and I will be glad to discuss them with you also. I live in Sebastian, Florida and could meet you in Melbourne, or if you really do get to read these e-mails and letters, we can do it that way. So many of the citizenry think that staffers take care of the "form letter responses" and our reps. don't even read them and couldn't care less what We, the People have to say.

If it truly is a government of the People, for the People, and by the People, We, the People of the United States of America,  should have an equal voice in everything that transpires concerning Our country, including the North American Union.

Sincerely,

John H. Kirgan...a concerned citizen

I have yet to hear from Mr. weldon and probably won't. Someone with concise thoughts, a clear knowledge of the subject, common sense and logic, and cannot have "their chain yanked", are avoided in most cases. The "politician" doesn't want to be dumbfounded by "a common man."

"It is 'citizenly correct' to oppose 'political correctness'."

Today Aug 28th Jesse Jackson and his cronies are going on rampage along with the media against the 2nd ammendment. This will be all over the news tonight and tomorrow night as well. We need to start calling our rep. again. Sweet pea
