Dear Ron Paul,

It is a tough decision when choosing which Candidate you will support. As the Editor for a grass roots community that has helped stop the impending passage of several key Democratic attempts at Amnesty, I get to see supporters for every candidate, I get exposed to 'the good, the bad, and the ugly' sides of every candidate. After going over the pros and cons for each candidate, I'd like to offer you my thanks for running for the office of the President of the United States, and would like to give you my support during your journey.

There are multiple issues that I am glad to agree with you on, first and foremost as a father of 3, including a young daughter, I appreciate your staunch support for life in opposing the Roe v. Wade verdict. It is imperative that we as a country support mothers and encourage them to stand up for the lives of their unborn children. How many future Senators, Congressmen, Supreme Court Justices, and Presidents have probably died already due to this lapse in the judgement of the American judicial system? The possibilities are staggering, and this saddens me.

In keeping with your support of Families, let me also thank you for your opposition of the war in Iraq and any foreign conflict that takes our troops away from their primary concern, the protection of the United States of America. The thousands that have died in vain when they should have been home with their families should be remembered in our hearts. Had they been kept home to support the lives of America, they would not have needlessly suffered.

Yes, we were attacked on September 11, 2001, but this just enforces the need for better protection at home, instead of continuing to pull thin the already weak wall we have around the US. If my house is robbed, I get better security at my house, I do not go out to pick fights with others I deem 'look bad' in order to protect my family from possible future harm. No, I stay at home, and stop them from entering again with all the vigilance due the threat. This has been made easier by you as well, with your unwavering support for the Second Amendment of the Constitution. I would not have the tools available to me that I need in order to protect my family from theft, harm, and possibly death if the Democrats had their way in controlling firearms to anyone except criminals.

You have probably realized that my family is of chief importance to me, as it should be to everyone in America, that is why I agree with you that even the children of Illegal immigrants should not stay in America. It is best they should travel back to Mexico with their families, allowing them to grow up into healthy, well-mannered citizens of Mexico. Then, and only then, will they have the necessary fundamentals to help America Grow strong when they properly submit applications to the INS for immigration with their kids.

Once they have returned, it is imperative that they support themselves, instead of living off the backs of hard-working families such as mine. That is why I am glad that you support tax relief for working families in the abolishment of the Income Tax. This will not only assist my family, it will help the legally immigrating workers from other countries attain a sustainable income within the US.

Once again I would like to thank you for your staunch conservative views, even though I cannot speak for the organization of Fire Society, I as an editor for them wish you well as you pursue this office.

From one father to another,

Sean Ivy
Fire Society Editor

That is a great letter Sean! Your analogy on the war in Iraq is perfect - I’ve thought the very same thing. We want “liberty” but too often seem to forget about the “justice for all”. God is still sovereign, our Redeemer lives and He can get us out of all this mess. From another father who loves his kids…Thank you!

This is an excellent letter, Sean. However, you didn't confront Dr. Paul on his voting record on all the amnesties from 1986 til now, nor did you confront him on what he would do as President regarding the 30-40 million illegals residing in the U.S. Also, will he complete the fence? Will he continue what Bush has done which is to allow the Mexican government to meddle in our internal affairs? Will he stop the ICE raids on businesses that hire illegals? Unless and until Dr. Paul clarifies his position on this issue, I cannot support him.
