Congress is about to go on a four-week vacation without taking action on rising gas prices. Please see below.
               --Steve

Gas prices continue to soar yet Congress does nothing!

Just the other day President Bush issued an executive order to expand offshore drilling but this do-nothing Congress hasn’t taken action to lift the legislative ban that prohibits more drilling.

I believe the first vital step to energy independence is for
Congress to get out of the way and allow more domestic
drilling! We must show OPEC we mean business!

That’s why Grassfire just launched an Emergency Petition calling on Congress to lift the ban on offshore drilling. What’s more, our petition demands that they lift the ban BEFORE they break for their month-long summer recess.

If you agree that Congress should NOT go on an extended
vacation (over four weeks!) UNTIL they lift the ban on
offshore drilling, please go here to sign.

It is outrageous that as gas prices have soared for months, Congress has done nothing. Unlike Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the big government liberals, we don’t want our government to solve our problems -- we just want the government to get out of the way!

And right now, Congress is the last blockade stopping more offshore drilling.

This is absolutely urgent. Again, your Senators and Representative will soon be leaving D.C. for a long, summer recess.

We must band together and demand action….

LIFT THE BAN OR NO VACATION FOR CONGRESS!

Please sign here!

And thanks.

Steve,

On most things you are right on target-- on the oil issue you are WAY WAY off!

The issue is SUPPRESSION of TRUE alternative technology like: 1. We are able to BURN SEA water as a fuel 2. We are able to using RESONANCE low energy) frequency to separate H from O2 in water and have ON BOARD hydrogen!!! Google Stan Meyer who was killed We can harvest electrical energy right from our vacuum around us-- See Bedini and Tom Bearden, etc.

When are you folks going to get a little knowledge on this suppression and on the fact that we are KILLING our planet and meting the polar caps?!!

AS I have suggested to Don Wildmon of AFA and others who with your good groups fighting otherwise on the RIGHT side--PLEASE, dear friend-- TAKE A SABBATICAL and learn about these issue--take some science classes on how carbon is filling our atmosphere in the METRIC KILOTONS!! Then send me your take on energy.

Please go to PESN Pure Energy System and READ all the archives back three to four years and LEARN what is going on this earth as far as widespread SUPPRESSION of clean energy!!

Please do it before you guide more millions into such FOLLY as digging even ONE single more oil well!!!!

While I  agree that Congress is self-serving and not holding the best interest of the Repubic first, the energy crisis here in the U.S. is self inflicted and drilling for more oil is a feeble, futile attempt at a comprehensive energy policy. It is more of the same. At best, a hole that is drilled today will not arrive at our gas pumps for at least 10-15 years, minimun. By that time it will be game, set, match for us. We need to stick it t OPEC by showing them that we are indeed serious, but just not about buying crude oil from them anymore. First step is to separate Big Oil from OUR government. As long as our elected officials continue to snuggle with big oil, we are doomed. Alternative energy is not a pipe dream as some would have us believe, but is truly achieveable in my lifetime (55 yrs. of age.) We need to start talking about what we CAN accomplish as opposed to how helpless we presume to be. We can start right now by cutting back on consumption, insisting on higher CAFTA regs., and just generally stop being so gluttonous. It is past time for us to be accountable as a people, and not just look to blame othrs.
