[article image] This Sunday is a special, loving day in America--a day full of appreciation, flowers, breakfast in bed, cards, and most of all, hugs for our moms.

But Sunday is also day 480 of 4,017 for Nacho Ramos,
and day 480 of 4,383 for Jose Compean.

Nothing special, just one more empty day in a never ending torment of lonely days. For Ramos the end comes a year sooner than his partner, but even still, they are barely into their prison journey. A journey that has already stolen more special family moments than either can count and one that won’t end until their children are grown.

Earlier this week, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) announced a National Day of Prayer on May 11th for the agents.

Yes, historically this is a special day for mom’s all across our nation, but this year, I’m asking that you will join with me and my family, and take just a few moments out of your day to also prayerfully remember Nacho Ramos and Jose Compean.

These men put their lives on the line for us, and for me, it is the least I can do to keep them in my thoughts and prayers--not just on May 11, but day after day until they are freed and reunited with their loved ones.

On behalf of each of these men, thank you for your commitment and support.

Thanks for standing with Grassfire.

Steve

Thank you for the reminder. I will follow your lead and also remind everyone of the 3 US Contractors being held hostage in Columbia by the FARC. They are Americans with families..just waiting and waiting for rescue or release. Their names are Marc Gonsalvez, Keith Stansell, and Thomas Howes. Please pray for them as well.

I will promise that if elected President the very first act I would perform would be a complete pardon of Ramos and Compean with a full reinstatement of all back pay and benefits. The second act would be firing anyone associated with their prosecution. Frank McEnulty 2008 Presidential Candidate
