289,650; $336,000,000
The first number is the number of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood in their fiscal year 2006-7. It's a dubious record for the organization -- most ever. The second number is the amount of taxpayer funding the organization receives. Hopefully that's all the information you need to consider signing Grassfire's petition to stop our tax dollars from going to this group.

Absolut's Reconquista Ad
Michelle Malkin has quite a bit of information on her blog about Ablosute Vodka's new ad and billboard that promotes the "Reconquista" idea that much of the southwest and western United States rightfully belongs to Mexico. Grassfire has addressed this issue extensively. Some have questioned our reports, but the fact is there is an agenda -- a belief -- in some quarters south of the border that Mexico has been cheated out of its rightful land. President Bush even endorsed the idea of Reconquista in a 2004 campaign video for Latinos. We inclued a few segments from that campaign video in this video we made shortly after the 2006 elections.

The Grid--Super-Fast Internet Coming
It is worth the time to read this article on The Grid -- a super-fast Internet that has been developed for high-end research and has potential implications for all of us. The Grid delivers content a "speeds about 10,000 times faster than a typical broadband connection." What does this mean? 3-D holographic video conferencing. Near-instant transfer of high-end video content. And what is called "cloud computing" in which your content is stored exclusively in the Internet and you can access it from anywhere. There are embryonic elements of all these components. The Grid would basically make information access instantaneous.

Global Warming Hysteria Coming...
This week, I will be in discussions with groups that are working to counter the growing push of Climate Alarmism that is actually a bigger threat to our economy and the planet that supposed man-made global warming. Last week, Al Gore announced a $300 million campaign to promote his favored cap and trade program. What is cap and trade? Essentially, it would make the air itself a commodity that the government taxes and controls. Climate Alarmism will be difficult to stop, especially as the coalition expands to include unlikely bedfellows. Last week, Pat Robertson and Al Sharpton sat down to record a commercial for Gore's latest Alarmist crusade.

Since mexico thinks it is time for reconquista, we should bring back an old American term;
MANIFEST DESTINY, then we'll see what they think as America expads the southern border.  All Americans, we need to act. Start spreading the words MANIFEST DESTINY. Maybe we can scare all the illegals back to mexico, or better yet just take it for ourselves. We need to stand together and show the world that America is our country.

I think you are right on the money, if our inept congress and senate would stop giving all our tax dollars away to these illegals pell,medical, education, food, etc....... I think they would run back to ole mexico. I dont know who said this but if your going to be poor be poor in America.
