#1--Mexico attacks fence.
Recently, the Mexican government -- with the help of environmentalist groups in the U.S. -- issued a report claiming that the border fence will threaten the environment.

This comes from one of the most polluted nations in the world whose illegal aliens have dumped 25 million pounds of trash at our borders during their trek to America.

I've seen the piles of trash and talked to families who have to deal with mountains of trash left behind by illegals. It averages out to 7 pounds of trash left behind per illegal alien. And just 1 percent has been cleaned up. (By the way, the Mexican government hasn't offered to help pay the cleanup costs, which will run tens of millions of dollars.)

Maybe Mexico should worry about its own environmental issues and stop meddling in our affairs.

I recently was interviewed for a feature story on Lou Dobbs detailing this situation. Go here to view.

#2--Open borders activists getting nervous?
This effort to play the environmental "trump card" may be a sign that open border activists are getting nervous that the long-promised border fence might actually get built.

Bulldozers began moving last month once again in San Diego where sections of that fence have been held up by environmentalists. Also, Secretary Chertoff has begun to publicly discuss the Texas fence.

As we know, talk is cheap, especially when it comes to actually securing our borders. Just 13 of the 854 miles of fence authorized last year have been built -- and none of the 13 miles was of the two-layered variety stipulated in the Secure Fence Act. That's why we are getting ready to ramp up our "Where's The Fence?" TV and grassroots campaign. Stay tuned.

#3--Is the Greenland Ice Cap melting?
Central to the claims of those who say global warming is an imminent threat to our world is the idea that the Greenland ice cap is melting and will cause a devastating rise in the sea level. Half of Florida will be under water, for example.

But is it true? Is the Greenland ice cap melting in an unusual way and does it pose a threat? I recently interviewed a key Congressional staffer who took part in an official fact finding trip to Greenland last month.

#4-- "We Just Might Win" in Iraq
If you missed the op-ed from Brookings Institution in this past Sunday's New York Times, it's worth the read. Two staffers from the Brookings Institution penned the op-ed and argued that the tide seems to have turned in Iraq -- in our favor.

Troop morale is high, there is security in the streets, the Iraqi military is improving, and the anti-war perspective that dominates our news is missing the true story. With some politicians already calling the Iraq war "lost" and others demanding specific timetables for a withdrawal, I wanted you to see this article. Go here.

#5--Shocker in the Ramos and Compean Saga
Finally, as you know we continue to work for the release and exoneration of imprisoned border agents Ramos and Compean. The House just completed a day of hearings which exposed one blockbuster. The illegal alien drug smuggler, given immunity by Johnny Sutton, also received special travel cards that gave him free access into the United States. Well, we now know that this illegal drug runner was in possession of one of those cards when he was caught a second time smuggling drugs.

This is a "smoking gun." We can now connect the dots and say Sutton's immunity deal enabled and equipped this drug smuggler to return to our country with more drugs. And let's not forget that Sutton succeeded in having this second bust suppressed in court. The jury never knew about this key piece of evidence. Of course, the smuggler got off scott-free for smuggling $2 million of marijuana into our country, and then sued our government for $5 million.

Because citizens like you have kept the pressure on, momentum continues to build. Ranking Democrats are getting involved and a hearing in the House Judiciary Committee is planned in which Sutton will likely be subpoenaed.

Go here for my special interview on these developments.

Why don't we hear from the news media that several of the planets in our solar system are 1 to 1.5 degress warmer than normal?  This was confirmed recently by a Swidish scientific study which stated, "The sun is going through an unusual cycle and that severla planets are showing signs of getting warmer."

The Liberal Agenda is causing this nation to go to sleep. Most regular people are turning a blind eye to the news because they are sick of it. This will in turn make us more vulnerable to attacks from outside the country. Grassroots people know at this point that Global Warming is a sham which will cost the taxpayers billions of dollars and many lives in Africa. The war in Iraq is the same way. By this time regular Americans could care less about the war because they are sick of the liberal media's coverage of it. Maybe we need to suffer more at home because of it--all the real life trauma is foreign to us. Our government is trying to insulate us rather that let us join in the war effort. What have we given up for it? Korean and all the wars before Americans have sacrificed now we are too pampered to sacrifice anything. So victory and defeat will not matter to most because they are not vested in it. They just want it off the news because they are bored with it. Thank you Steve for awakening us!!! Cindy Brown
