So You've Heard Plenty About Global Warming.....

Grassfire fully supports the very "conservative" concept of being good stewards of the earth. But conservatives cannot sit by silently as Al Gore and the Climate Alarmists attempt to pull the wool of American's eyes. The claim that global warming is a "crisis" has been thoroughly debunked by leading scientists around the world. Surveys show that most scientists do not buy into the hype that the modern warming is due to human activities. The majority of scientists agree that the Earth's climate is very complex and insufficiently understood to make an accurate forecast.

However, Al Gore and his radical Alarmist Agenda are steamrolling ahead. All United States citizens are about to pay mightily, for Gore's extremist view point, with a $1.3 trillion tax increase. Hundreds of millions of dollars are being pushed into a massive effort to expand the government's power. Al Gore's Climate Alarmism will cripple the U.S. economy and give bureaucrats the power to tax air!

If you are unsure or oppose Climate Alarmism and want to the facts to argue your position please view the Links below to read articles that explain the truth and answer your questions about global warming.

Scientific Consensus?
One of the main arguments of Al Gore and the Climate Alarmists is that there exists almost irrefutable scientific consensus that man-made CO2 emissions will doom the planet unless dramatic actions are taken. But is there scientific consensus?

What are 19,000 scientists saying about "Global Warming"? 19,000 Scientists signed a petition saying global warming probably is natural and not a crisis. More here

Is Global-Warming Man-Made?

The climate is constantly changing and warming is happening, but only slightly, and not globally. Al Gore and his global warming alarmists attempt to rewrite history as they claim that the Industrial Revolution ignited this global warming and led to this current warming cycle? The truth is that "man-made" global warming is only about .6 degrees F, while the sun contributed another .6 degrees F. Man's contribution is slight and not enough to panic over.

Global Cooling and Climate Cycles
The exploitation of climate science for purely political goas has been occuring throughout the developed world for years. Not long ago, in the 1970s and 80s, many "climate experts" claimed certainty and consensus about global cooling. However, there is nothing especiially unusaul about the current weather and climate changes. In fact it is generally within long-term normal patterns.

Carbon Dioxide .....dangerous?
Humans add to the green house gas concentration by exhaling, harvesting plants, and generating and releasing energy for our homes, cars, factories, etc. All of these actions involve hydrocarbons such as petroleum, coal, and natural gas. Carbion dioxide is not a byproduct or a pollutant but the intended result of energy production. The more efficiently one combusts hydrocarbon, the more CO2 one produces. For this reason, those who are that "energy efficienty" is the solution to global warming are wrong.

Tax Increases
Americans are about to be hit with a $1.3 trilliontax increase if Al Gore and his radical climate alarmists push succeed in their agenda. Hundreds of millions of dollars are bneing pushed to create the largest expansion of government power in our nation's history. This massive tax scehem could ciplle the economy and allow bureaucrats to tax air.

Spending hundreds of billions of dollars a year to "fight" global warmin just doesn't make sense, and is more likely to ruin economies of first-world nations than make any significant impact.

Not that I grant any credence to the U.N., but since a great many liberal environmental alarmists seem to, this article about where the U. N. now stands on Gore's fabricated paranoia could be referred to whenever one of them feels the urge to spout.

And why don't these guys save their hundreds of millions of dollars and spend it on cleaning up the problem they insist is real?

As for me, I am confident that the Lord means what He says in Genesis 8:22, "As long as the earth remains, there will be springtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night." Believers should stand ON and BY this Word of God and count on it more than on any politician or government. Let's remember Whose Word is The Authority and not react as though unbelievers have anything to say about anything that goes on here on the Lord's planet.

U.N. IPCC scales back climate change report
Pete Chagnon - OneNewsNow - 4/8/2008 10:45:00 AM

United Nations flag bigMarc Morano, a spokesperson from the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee minority staff, says the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is scaling back on its previous dire predictions of catastrophic climate change.

The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW) says that with each successive report from the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), there is less cause for alarm than previously thought. Morano points out that in the recent 2007 report, man's alleged impact on "global warming" was scaled back by 25 percent while ocean-level rise was also reduced.

According to Morano, this is the 13th year that rapid warming has been predicted and advertised in the media by Al Gore and the U.N., but it has failed to occur. "So at some point, they're getting worried -- and now you have record winter in the Northern Hemisphere and record winter in the Southern Hemisphere, [as well as] global cooling to the extent from 2007 to 2008 that was rather significant and surprised a lot of scientists," Morano contends.

He also says the U.N. is realizing and acknowledging that there is continually less cause for alarm on the subject.

"And now you have a cooling .... [But] NASA scientist James Hansen [is] trying to say 'well, warming will resume soon, but this is just [a] natural factor [with] the ocean circulation,' but the fact of the matter is the head of the U.N. [IPCC] Rajendra Pachauri came out recently and said we have to investigate this apparent temperature plateau," Morano notes.

The Senate committee staff member contends Al Gore is currently trying to sidestep the issue.

I find it difficult to believe that we humans are not the cause of environmental problems, present and future. However, the even greater risk is population growth and the inability of the planet to support life with limited fresh water, food and clean air. Population control is not a popular subject (except in China) but I believe that is going to be more and more important as time goes on.
