Background:

Groups like La Raza and La Mecha are racist groups comprised of ethnocentric Hispanics who want to reconquer Aztlan for Mexico. Their very existence is a danger to our nation.

They currently receive federal funding to promote their racist beliefs. This federal funding must be stopped. Racist groups of any variety should not be supported by our government.

Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge's MEChA chapter said  "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled -- opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power."

Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor, University of Texas, Arlington; founder of La Raza Unida political party; and beneficiary of American generosity said "We have an aging white America. . . . They are dying. . . . They are xxxxing their pants with fear! I love it!" "We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, WE HAVE GOT TO KILL HIM."

Members of Congress,

La Raza and MEChA are racist groups. Members of these groups should be barred from testifying before Congress and any committees. In 2006, these groups recieved $6,594,703 in federal funds. Their funding needs to be eliminated.

Their motto, "For the race everything. For those outside the race, nothing." is racist and completely incompatible with American society. Their belief in the nation of Aztlan and their desire to reconquer it for themselves is a direct threat against the United States.

Jose Angel Gutierrez, founder of La Raza Unida, has stated that "We have got to eliminate the gringo and what I mean by that is if worst comes to worst, we have to kill him."

These are clearly racist beliefs meant to incite violence and are a danger to the people of the United States.

Please start an investigation into these hate groups and stop funding them with federal money.
