A suprising trend is appearing on the political scene!

Citizens from both major parties are re-registering in large numbers and declaring themselves as independent voters no longer willing to support officials who demonstrate that they do not have the best interests of our country and military at heart!.

****

This of course hasn't happened yet!

But it could. We have been given the opportunity to communicate with a large number of people and from what I gather here on this site people are disenchanted with Washington. I believe that is a giant understatement but I'm trying to put a good face on the situation.

We have all been e-mailing, faxing and phoning to get the attention of our elected officials and they may or may not listen and if they give the appearance of listening they may be trying to accomplish their goal by passing legislation under the radar.

The amnesty bill ('Deam Act') is an example. It failed on its own so they tried to pass is as an amendment to an appropriations bill. They take these actions and the incumbents think the party will get them elected. Folks by numbers... we are the parties. We may not bankroll them but so far in this country we still have a say through the voting booth.

What say we try to shift the ball to their court?

Declare our independence as voters and let them know we will no longer toe the Party line. Action counts. We won't tolerate inaction or indifference to our concerns!

If they don't demonstrate that they are serving the best interests of our country and military they are out as soon as we can get to a voting booth... sooner if our state has recall!

No more:

     * passing 'Fence bills' and then secretly removing the financing.

     * voting for the war then trying to unfund it.

     * passing treaties like LOST that gives away our sovereignty to the UN.

     * NAU that will usurp our right to vote!

Let us send the message to Washington that if they will not listen and protect this country, we the independent voters will see that anyone but them will remain in their seats!

How about it folks? Willing to give it a try!

                          Poke-a-Party!

Several of us here at FS are attempting to send a message to both the Republican and Democrat Parties by encouraging folks to change their voter registration to ‘independent or unaffiliated’.

Please consider this an invitation to join in… simply file the form with your local board of elections to change your Party affiliation to ‘independent’ and ask family, friends and neighbors to do the same.

You then will be able to proudly proclaim:

                 ‘I am a Party Poker!’
