Top offcials are beginning to let on to what people in this forum have believed and been blasted upon as "conspiracy theorist".

Chertoff has done it with his "gut feeling", the FBI has done and you will begin to see many more.

Whether it happens or not, until we secure our borders, we can never be safe. Whether we are in Iraq taking the fight to them or not.

I it will not post my personal feelings in this thread. I'll only bring you facts from sources that certain individuals may feel are more credible than I because they are running the show. This way the "attackers" in these forums can't dispute facts as being neokookery and B.S. like that.

All I ask is that you bring facts and not all the retoric. So for my first post, I leave you with this information from the Associated press.

The U.S. military commander in charge of defending the U.S. homeland said Tuesday that he believes there are al-Qaida cells in the United States or people working to create them.

Air Force Gen. Victor “Gene” Renuart said that while the terrorism threat within the nation’s boundaries has increased in the past year, officials have strengthened intelligence sharing, particularly in an effort to shore up weaknesses in security at U.S. ports.

“I believe there are cells in the United States, or at least people who aspire to create cells in the United States,” Renuart said in an interview with The Associated Press. “To assume that there are not those cells is naive and so we have to take that threat seriously.”

So, now tell me, is his statement conspiracy theory, neokookery and is he wearing a tin hat?

You cannot defend freedom abroad by abandoning it here or fight terrorism over there while painting a target along our borders.

Some people have difficulties understanding that you can't keep flys out of your house with the doors left open, while you're at your neighbors house killing flys there.
